Chapter 468 Agreeing to the Wedding Out of Spite
Isabella stood on the rooftop, feeling the wind blow against her. She couldn't help but look down.
It was over sixty stories high. What would happen if Isabella jumped?
Sebastian stood not far away, calling Alexander, "Alexander, she's really going to jump."
"Let her jump." Alexander hung up after saying that.
Sebastian didn't understand, but he had to focus on Isabella standing by the railing.
Isabella turned around and looked at him. "He's still not coming, is he?"
Later, Isabella was carried back from the rooftop by Sebastian.
Isabella was still weak, her face covered in tears.
She looked like her soul had been sucked out, only complaining, "How could he become so ruthless?"
"Isabella, how could you become so pitiful?" She continued her complaint.
Sebastian looked at her on the couch, who had no place for him in her heart or eyes.
He knew it was time for him to leave.
Isabella slowly raised her eyes to look at him, then started crying even more. "Why does everyone say I've changed? I've loved him all along. He's the one who changed."
"If you had loved him all along, you would have proposed before he got his marriage license." Sebastian stood up and left after saying that.
"Sebastian, are you really not going to help me?" Isabella said, getting up.
When Sebastian turned around, she had already stripped herself naked.
In the large floor-to-ceiling window, her slender back was reflected.
Afterwards, Sebastian departed Ankenra City on a business trip that day but didn't return for over a month.
And on the weekend, when Victoria and Olivia were shopping, Isabella blocked her again.
Isabella looked very worn and angry. She looked at Victoria and suddenly walked up to her. "Mrs. Harrington, I'm begging you."
"Isabella, what are you suddenly going crazy about?" Olivia reminded her.
"I'm begging you to let our Montgomery Family go, please." Isabella ignored Olivia and looked at Victoria, swallowing her pride to plead.
Victoria looked coldly at Isabella, not knowing what bad thing she was up to again.
She had nothing to do butto force her to leave, right?
"I can admit to anything. Please don't frame our Montgomery Group." Isabella looked like she was ready to sacrifice herself, so committed.
"Are you talking about the Montgomery Group being investigated?" Victoria suddenly thought of the recent news about the Montgomery Group being investigated and asked.
"Yes, since my dad and the others brought you to dinner and you falsely accused them of humiliating you, our Montgomery Group has had awful luck," Isabella said.
Victoria listened but didn't rush to explain.
Olivia could only listen, not comprehending Isabella's desire.
Everyone stopped to witness the action in thecrowded mall.
Victoria saw more and more people gathering and understood Isabella's intention.
Victoria looked at a seat placed at the entrance of a nearby store, then turned to walk over to sit down, calling out, "Olivia, sit and listen."
"Okay." Olivia was surprised by her calmness and went to sit with her.
Isabella's face turned red.
But she quickly stood there resolutely again.
Victoria knew Isabella wanted to stir up public opinion.
Now the entire city knew she was about to wed Alexander, and attacking Alexander's first love at this moment would make her appear terrible.
Victoria realized the power of the internet. This hatred on the internet may push someone to die.
That was just what Isabella wanted.
So, since Isabella played the weak, she could only play the villain, but she would be a villain who enjoyed it.
"My dad and others wouldn't scheme against you. You were going to join the Harrington Group, so they asked you to dinner to curry favor and hoped you would praise them to Alexander. You told Alexander they humiliated and forced you. Don't you know how miserably you've harmed these companies?" Isabella continued.
"I don't know," Victoria replied.
"Don't you know? You're young and reckless so that you wouldn't know. You only detest them. Therefore, you use Alexander's favor to destroy them, right?" Isabella added.
Isabella appeared weak in posture and image as people talked.
Victoria, seated in her seat, seemed cold and cruel, making her the bad person.
"Isabella, are you mentally unstable? Does anyone know the number for a mental hospital? I want to help this lady call a doctor," Olivia said, looking at the onlookers and asking.
"I know. My sister works at a mental hospital."
A young girl suddenly raised her hand.
"Okay, thank you. Please come over." Olivia didn't expect someone to cooperate, so she immediately called her over.
The people around were confused. Did this girl figure out who was right and wrong before helping?
Isabella was even more puzzled. Hadn't she made it clear enough?
"Am I mentally ill? Are you planning to lock me up in a mental hospital forever because I once loved Alexander? Are you so afraid we'll rekindle our old flame that you want to destroy me?" Isabella questioned and mocked.
Everyone was stunned.
Then, the girl who was about to give Olivia the number hesitated.
Victoria silently listened, couldn't help but sigh, and said seriously with her hands clasped, "First, the Harrington family accept me as Alexander's legal wife. Second, our wedding will be grand. Third, Alexander didn't arrive when you threatened to leap from a skyscraper. May I ask you guys, would you still care about a past lover after being recognized in your husband's family?"
"Of course not. Who doesn't have a few exes? Why would I care?"
"Exactly, exes are just dead contacts in our phonebooks."
"But my boyfriend did get back with his ex," a girl said.
Olivia glanced at that girl and asked, "Didn't you do something about it?"
"I wished him many children, but none of them is his," that girl said teasingly.
Suddenly, there was a burst of laughter.
Isabella looked at the young faces around her in confusion.
Were these people serious?
Whose side were they on?
She looked back at Victoria, only to find Victoria looking at her, too.
And the look was stabbing her with a smile.
Isabella felt awful, and Victoria stood up.
Victoria slowly approached Isabella, looked at her disdainfully for a few seconds, and then bent down with a mocking smile.
Isabella instinctively guarded herself, but Victoria clearly had no weapon in hand.
Isabella only felt humiliated when she saw the ring on Victoria's hand.
Victoria's clear eyes stared straight at Isabella. "I don't know why Ms. Montgomery likes to beg so much, but since you like it, you can beg a little longer."
"You will go to hell," Isabella whispered to herself.
Victoria laughed, her eyes suddenly sharp."I didn't actually intendto marry Alexander in the past, but at this moment, I have decided I will."
"What?" Isabella was stunned at her words.
Victoria smiled and whispered, "Not for anything else, just to spite you."
