Chapter 332 A Love Entwined with Emotions
"What?" Victoria's voice echoed with disbelief as she stared at him. Alexander, however, remained steadfast, repeating his words, "We did."
Victoria's mind whirled with confusion. They had made love? "After dinner, it was after work," Alexander reminded her, his tone suddenly grave.
Victoria's heart weighed heavy in her chest, unable to release the burden of uncertainty. It didn't seem like he was lying. Her body tensed, her mind raced, and the hairs on her arms prickled with unease. Despite her turmoil, she found herself studying his face, searching for some hidden truth. Alexander, feeling the weight of her gaze, lifted his eyes to meet hers. Tears welled in Victoria's eyes. If they had made love last night, he would know she wasn't a virgin. Was his sudden harshness a result of that realization? Seeing her distress, Alexander's mood darkened further. "What? You don't feel a thing?" he asked, his voice laced with concern. Victoria remained silent, consumed by guilt. "Why don't you describe last night's experience?" Alexander suggested, his gaze locked onto hers with an intensity that stole her breath away. Her mind was a whirlwind of thoughts, causing her head to throb before succumbing to a blank void. That evening, Olivia invited Victoria for a drink. As the waitress moved to pour her a drink, Victoria quickly interjected, "Just a glass of water, please."
Olivia looked at her, surprised. "Drinking water at a bar?" she questioned.
"I drank too much last night," Victoria replied. Observing her friend's listless demeanor, Olivia couldn't resist teasing her. "You were whisked away by Alexander at midnight. Did you stay up until dawn?"
Victoria's eyes widened in surprise, her expression one of confusion.
"Wasn't that what happened?" Olivia asked, unable to decipher Victoria's reaction. "I have no memory of it," Victoria admitted, her voice filled with shame.
"No memory? Yes, you drank a lot last night, but even if your brain forgot, your body can't." Olivia's words hung in the air, heavy with implication. "Body?" Victoria echoed, her mind racing.
"Yes, did you two have sex many times?" Olivia asked, her voice laced with curiosity. If they had indeed made love last night, it would have been their first time. Seeing Victoria's puzzled expression, Olivia felt a pang of guilt. She had heard from Edward that Alexander seemed unsatisfied and that neither of them had actually done it before. "Last night wasn't your first time, was it? If I had known, I wouldn't have rushed you out. You should have rested well," Olivia admitted, guilt tinging her voice. "With Alexander's physique, it must have been painful for you, right?"
Victoria's mind was a whirlwind of thoughts, her heart pounding in her chest. Later that night, Olivia's car was parked downstairs. A tall man stood by the French window upstairs, silently watching the car below.
"Shall we make plans for another day?" Olivia asked.
"Yes, and thank you for inviting me for a drink," Victoria responded, her voice polite.
"You're welcome," Olivia replied, watching as Victoria, who hadn't even taken a sip, quickly left. "You didn't drink a drop anyway," Olivia muttered to herself. Victoria couldn't wait to get home. As soon as she entered, she grabbed her phone and began to search the internet. None of the symptoms she found matched her experience. She tried to feel, but she felt nothing. It was said that the first few times would be accompanied by intense pain or discomfort, but she felt none of that. And despite feeling weak all over, she felt nothing there. Suddenly, she remembered the lovemaking in Country M.
"Why did you come back so late?" A male voice echoed in the room, startling her. Her phone slipped from her grasp and clattered to the floor. In the dim light, a tall figure slowly approached.
Victoria squinted, trying to make out the figure.
"Alexander?" she asked softly.
