Chapter 813 Drunkenness
Adrian got in the car and left five minutes later.
Victoria leaned back against the cold door and silently sneered.
Soon, a familiar smell of smoke wafted out from inside, and she turned to look inside.
The man didn't rush out; he just silently smoked his cigarette.
Victoria instinctively glanced inside again, "Alexander?"
He smiled but still didn't move.
Victoria immediately confirmed that it was Alexander inside.
Had he heard all of Adrian's naive words just now?
Victoria walked in. When she saw him, her heart sank, but she still stood in front of him and softly asked, "Why are you here?"
"Sorry, I interrupted you."
Alexander smiled, then silently continued smoking his cigarette.
"He's just too naive. You know he means no harm to you."
Victoria softly explained.
Alexander couldn't help but laugh again after hearing this, his eyes finally shooting toward her, "Why are you explaining to him? Are you afraid we'll turn against each other?"
"I don't want to see that happen."
Victoria quickly responded truthfully.
Although she was surprised that Alexander understood her so well.
Alexander was always unyielding. Adrian thought he could be a witness to her failed marriage, and if Alexander heard that, he would be angry.
She didn't want them to turn against each other because of her.
Alexander laughed after hearing this, suddenly grabbed her wrist tightly, and stepped forward to question her in a deep voice, "Who do you think you are? Do you think you can influence the relationship between us brothers?"
"It would be best if I couldn't."
Victoria was startled by his sudden action, but after hearing his words, she just lightly responded.
Alexander realized his impulsiveness had hurt her again, but he couldn't help but get angrier and gripped her wrist even tighter, "Do you still consider me your husband? Do you know what you're doing now?"
He hated her lifeless and self-righteous look.
Victoria silently watched him suddenly stop. After a while, he let go of her hand, bypassed her, and went upstairs.
Victoria stood there in a daze, unable to move for a moment.
He was just a man she didn't want.
What right did he have to question her like that?
He didn't treat her as his wife.
He saw through her thoughts but did nothing.
Victoria didn't go home. There was a bar nearby, and she went in, ordered a drink, and sat down at the bar.
She didn't want to think about those things that didn't make sense anymore.
Half an hour later.
Eve came back upstairs, "Mr. Harrington, Mrs. Harrington is not downstairs."
Alexander was holding Strawberry, trying to put her to sleep. After hearing this, he looked at Strawberry with a particularly cold gaze.
Did she leave because he went upstairs?
"Will Mrs. Harrington be in trouble? I'll go look for her."
Eve said and was about to leave.
"Wait."
Alexander said.
Eve turned back, and Alexander got up with Strawberry in his arms. After putting Strawberry on the bed, he came out, checked his phone, and then said, "Take care of Strawberry."
"Okay."
Eve stood there in a daze, watching Alexander leave with a lonely look. Did he know where Victoria was?
Alexander found Victoria based on her location. She was watching a guy perform a magic trick for her. The guy produced a rose, and she smiled, asking him, "Do you have more?"
The guy, Larry Evans, immediately produced a beautifully polished stone. Victoria took it and looked at it under the light, "I don't like stones."
"Then what do you like? Come with me. I have everything."
Victoria stared at him, giggled, and then looked at the stone in a daze.
What did she like?
She didn't want to like anything anymore.
Men were all the same.
But this guy looked younger than her and was trying to flirt with her.
Victoria felt bored and just asked him, "Do you still want this stone?"
"Give me your contact info, and I'll give it to you."
Larry took out his phone and leaned closer to her.
Under the light, he got close to her, his eyes full of flirtation. Victoria nonchalantly started to look for her phone.
But before she could find it, Larry suddenly stood up straighter, looking at the man behind her, "Bro, this girl is mine."
"Why don't you ask her who she is?"
The man behind her said in a deep voice.
Larry looked at him and then at Victoria. Victoria had short hair hanging over her ears and was dressed innocently, looking like a college freshman, while Alexander was a calm and cold person. They couldn't possibly be a couple, so he smiled and said, "Miss, do you know the man behind you?"
Victoria turned around, looked up at him blankly, and after a few seconds, smiled and said, "Alexander."
Alexander only wanted to give her a cold glance to intimidate her, but her drunken voice softened his heart.
Larry realized they knew each other and muttered, "Fuck, she's someone else's mistress. Sorry, bro."
"Stop, what did you say?"
Alexander suddenly shouted.
Before anyone could react, Larry was already on the ground.
Alexander pulled Victoria into his arms and forcefully told the fallen Larry, "She is my wife, Alexander's wife."
Larry was scared, staring at him blankly, suddenly feeling that the name Alexander sounded familiar.
"We're getting divorced soon."
Victoria leaned in his arms, letting him hold her, and smiled as she told Larry.
Alexander looked down at her, then at the bartender behind the bar.
The bartender instinctively replied, "She only had three drinks."
But the drinks were quite strong.
Alexander didn't ask further, picked Victoria up, and left.
Victoria wrapped her arms around his neck, lying on his shoulder, "Alexander, why are you here? A guy just tried to have sex with me."
Alexander was both jealous and hurt but said nothing.
Some people around couldn't help but keep their eyes on them, silently making way.
Alexander quickly carried her out of the bar with his long strides. In the car, he helped her fasten her seatbelt. Just as he was about to return to his seat, Victoria suddenly wrapped her arms around his neck, not letting him go, "Didn't you say you didn't want me anymore?"
"Who said I didn't want you?"
He said in a low, firm voice, his eyes slightly sour.
"You did. You don't want me anymore, so why won't you let me be with other guys? I want to be their girlfriend. I want to date a lot. They're all younger than you and so much more gentle and considerate."
Victoria clung to him, drunkenly ranting.
Alexander was both angry and hurt, "I get it, are you feeling a bit frisky?"
"Frisky? No, I'm just not going to wrong myself."
She mumbled, her gaze already unfocused.
She just wanted to have a spirit, but it tasted good, so she had another and then another.
She felt a bit hot, and then someone came to hit on her.
There was even a guy who used magic tricks to win over girls.
Alexander was so angry he could barely hold it in, gritting his teeth to speak to her in a low voice, "I make you cry every time, and you say you're wronged? Would you only feel justified if I made you faint from pleasure?"
