Chapter 88 It Was His Own Revelation

Could she still calmly cover herself with that blanket in the future?
Victoria emerged from the bedroom with her phone, but her demeanor was far from good.
"Good morning, Mrs. Harrington," the nanny greeted her cheerfully upon seeing her descend the stairs.
"Good morning," Victoria replied listlessly.
Observing her despondent expression, the nanny quickly approached, "Mrs. Harrington, are you feeling unwell?"
"What should I do?" Victoria asked her helplessly.
"What should you do? What happened?" The nanny grew anxious.
"Our marriage certificate has been exposed," Victoria spoke with concern.
"Oh?" The nanny was about to say this was good news when they heard a loud crash from upstairs.
Both of them hurriedly ran up to see a shattered phone at the bedroom door.
They both looked puzzledly at the bed from a distance.

Meanwhile, at the Harrington Family's old mansion.
"This is quite strange. I haven't revealed anything yet," Old Lady Harrington muttered in confusion.
"Are you sure it wasn't you?" Arabella asked her.
The previous night, Old Lady Harrington mentioned posting something online, so Arabella immediately thought this online frenzy was her doing.
"No, it wasn't me," Old Lady Harrington replied.
"Alex came back last night," Mr. Harrington Sr. casually mentioned from his seat at the head of the table.
Both Arabella and Old Lady Harrington looked at him in surprise.
"Alexander came back?" Arabella was somewhat at a loss, puzzled by this turn of events.
"Yes, he even asked for the marriage certificate, and then promptly returned it," Mr. Harrington Sr. explained.
Old Lady Harrington confiscated their marriage certificate some time back, fearing they might actually proceed with a divorce.
However, upon hearing this, the mother-in-law and daughter-in-law pondered for a moment. Old Lady Harrington asked, "Then why?"
"Because he's not planning on divorcing her," Mr. Harrington Sr. chuckled.
Alexander was lucky to have seen the light, or Mr. Harrington Sr. would have really broken his legs.
Although, he did feel a bit reluctant about it. The men of the Harrington Family all had long legs, breaking them would be a pity.
"Ah, so we don't have to worry about them getting a divorce, do we?" Arabella breathed a sigh of relief.
"It seems so," Mr. Harrington Sr. said, about to pour himself some coffee.
Arabella hurried over to help.
In the Harrington Family, there was no rule that stated the younger generation had to serve the elders.
Although Mr. Harrington Sr. didn't mind, who wouldn't appreciate being respected?
"Well, won't I be a great-grandmother soon?" Old Lady Harrington suddenly became ecstatic.
"Mother," Arabella chuckled helplessly at her mother-in-law's quick change of topic.
"I knew it. Victoria is such a good girl; how could he bear to let her go?" Old Lady Harrington continued.
Arabella couldn't help but sigh in relief; she could finally relax.

At Regal Retreat, during breakfast, a serious expression remained on Alexander’s handsome face, as if someone owed him billions.
"Today, let's start with..."
"Let me peacefully finish my meal first, okay?" Alexander interrupted her.
"Okay, then..."
Alexander impatiently looked at her.
"I wanted to ask, where did you put my bag that you took from the restaurant yesterday?"
She asked, thinking she still needed it.
"Didn't I get you a new one?" Alexander countered.
"I don't like the new one. I'm just a secretary."
"So?"
"That bag costs over a hundred thousand. If I carry it to work, people will talk."
Victoria reminded him softly.
"So, you're worried about what people say but not about embarrassing me?" Alexander questioned her.
"How would I embarrass you?"
"What do you think? Victoria, hmm? And what perfume are you spraying in your blanket? It's quite strong, you know?" Alexander couldn't help but criticize her.
