Chapter 868 The Matter Is Exposed
Half an hour later, at the hospital entrance.
"Mrs. Arabella Harrington, Ms. Harrington went to the obstetrics and gynecology department, and I also saw Ms. Wood here."
"Which Ms. Wood?"
Arabella asked in confusion.
"Mrs. Victoria Harrington's bodyguard, Eve," Felix explained.
Arabella thought for a moment and then said, "Forget about Eve for now, you go keep an eye on Ms. Harrington."
'Diana went to the obstetrics and gynecology department; she must be pregnant.'
'Is Diana planning to secretly have an abortion?'
'But we never hide anything from each other among friends.' Arabella thought.
But after hanging up the phone, Arabella immediately felt puzzled again and muttered, "Isn't Eve supposed to be with Victoria? What is she doing at the hospital?"Victoria was also nowhere to be found, and Alexander's phone couldn't be reached.
It was as if the three of them had disappeared, but Victoria and Alexander were usually reliable. What worried her the most now was her long-lost Strawberry.
Arabella also contacted her doctor friend, Layla Hill, asking Layla not to help Diana deceive her, but she still felt uneasy.
Arabella had no idea how long it had been when her phone rang.
[Diana said she has a friend upstairs in the hospital who had a C-section and the wound is infected, asking me to check out.]
Seeing Layla's message, Arabella felt relieved.
She thought Diana had no friends, but it turned out Diana was telling the truth.
It was good for Diana to have a few friends in this city.
Feeling reassured, Arabella then remembered Eve.
Arabella called Victoria again, but there was still no answer, so she called Alexander.
This time, Alexander picked up.
"Alexander, where have you all been today? Why isn't Eve with Victoria?"
Arabella got straight to the point.
"Victoria said she went on a trip with Olivia. She should be on the plane now, and Eve didn't go."
"I see. You usually have Eve tagging along with Victoria. What's up today? Did you let Eve stay home?"
"Eve wasn't feeling well, and Victoria didn't want anyone following her."
Alexander's words were calm yet vague.
Arabella hung up the phone, feeling at ease, thinking she had almost worried with her wild thoughts. Fortunately, they were all fine, and she could relax.
Felix, having nothing better to do, got curious and quietly followed Diana and Layla, watching them take the elevator to the seventeenth floor. Felix immediately took another elevator to follow them.
The seventeenth floor was the VIP floor.
There were even guards at the door.
It was late, what was going on?
But it made sense for Diana to know some influential friends, given the Harrington family.
However, Felix felt like he had seen the two bodyguards somewhere before.
Victoria was sleeping, and Diana told Layla to be gentle.
But when Layla saw Victoria, she was stunned, "Isn't this Victoria?"
Victoria had bandages on, clearly injured.
"Keep your voice down, just look at her belly."
Diana whispered.
Layla couldn't understand Diana's intentions, but when Diana lifted the blanket, Layla couldn't help but look down.
"No, Strawberry."
Victoria felt a chill and immediately mumbled, waking up in a panic.
Both of them watched Victoria with bated breath.
Victoria, with sweat on her forehead, looked at them and gradually came to her senses, "Diana, Mrs. Hill, what are you doing?"
She saw Diana even holding the corner of her blanket.
Diana, unable to bear the sneaky behavior, straightened up and said, "Victoria, I'll be direct with you. I don't believe you gave birth to the child yourself, so I asked Mrs. Hill to check. If she says you gave birth to the child, I'll believe you didn't use a surrogate."
Layla turned to look at Diana, truly shocked.
She never expected to hear such absurd words at her age.
Victoria, remembering Diana's previous accusation of surrogacy and thinking of Strawberry being taken by Alexander, felt a surge of emotions, wanting to laugh, but tears came first.
Why was she always the one being suspected?
Didn't they have anything better to do than to scrutinize her?
"Diana, what you're saying is too much. Strawberry is the one Victoria gave birth to."
Layla, seeing Victoria's tear-streaked face, immediately defended her.
"How can you be sure? Have you seen her wound?"
"No, but I saw Strawberry at the Welcome Baby Party, she looks just like Victoria. They are biological mother and daughter."
"Let's see it with our eyes. Victoria, show us your belly."
"Why should I?"
Alexander had already taken Strawberry away.
Why should she lift her wounded belly for others to see and confirm?
"This is ridiculous."
Layla said, thinking, "I have to go, I won't help you with this."
This was the greatest insult to a woman, a mother.
"Mrs. Hill, please don't leave, and you promised not to tell my mom. Our family doesn't know Victoria is in the hospital. If you tell, I'm done for."
"What are you talking about, Diana?"
Layla was shocked. Victoria was in the hospital, but the Harrington family didn't know.
Layla remembered that Victoria's family was gone, only the Harrington family was taking care of her.
"Where's Alexander? Victoria looks so haggard, you should call Alexander to take care of her immediately."
Not just have two bodyguards outside.
Layla wasn't even sure if they were bodyguards anymore.
She knew Victoria's bodyguards, a man and a woman.
Layla left, and Diana, scared, immediately followed her.
This must not be known to Arabella, or who knows what would happen.
Alexander and Victoria had finally completely broken up.
Layla was about to make a call when Diana grabbed her, "Mrs. Hill, please don't tell my mom. My mom doesn't know what happened. Victoria used a surrogate and tried to run away with Strawberry. Victoria was caught by Alexander. I beg you, don't tell my mom."

"What?"
Arabella looked at Felix in disbelief.
Felix had eavesdropped on Diana and Layla's conversation and told Arabella everything.
He wished Brett and Eloise knew, too, as they would consider Victoria's situation more.
But at this time, he could only report to Arabella first.
"How is that possible? Alexander told me on the phone that Victoria went out with Olivia."
"If you don't believe me, you can go to the hospital yourself. There are two bodyguards there, but they are not Frank and Eve."
"Get the car."
Arabella didn't hesitate and said firmly.
