Chapter 838 Uncontrollable Feelings
Olivia suddenly stood up, feeling unwell, "I'm going to the restroom."
Olivia ran off in an instant. Fortunately, Edward followed her.
Victoria felt relieved and was hesitating whether to leave when Adrian suddenly sat down across from her. "I apologize."
Victoria looked at Adrian with confusion.
Adrian noticed the wine on the table was gone and chuckled, "Do you like this kind of wine? Should I get you another bottle?"
"No need, Olivia drank it all."
Victoria immediately explained.
Adrian nodded and didn't say more, continuing weakly, "I didn't expect to see you tonight. When I saw Olivia come in, I wondered if you would come. If you did, I knew I had to apologize to you."
Victoria thought he always seemed sincere, so she didn't interrupt.
Adrian continued, "I shouldn't have hurt myself to gain your sympathy. That punch from Alexander hurt quite a bit, but it did wake me up."
Adrian touched his face as he spoke and suddenly gave a silly smile.
Victoria suddenly saw Alexander's face in front of her.
But when she looked closely, it was Adrian.
"It's a pity I didn't confess earlier. Ava was right, missing the chance means it's gone."
Adrian looked at her, humble yet gentle.
Victoria's thoughts were in disarray, but she could hear what he was saying. She looked at him calmly and said softly, "You will meet someone better."
"I will."
Adrian said, slowly standing up, "I'm leaving."
"Okay."
Victoria also stood up, ready to see him off.
Adrian, however, turned back suddenly and quickly walked up to her, "Victoria, can you give me a hug?"
"What?"
"This is the last time."
Adrian said, grabbing her wrist and pulling her into his arms.
Victoria's mind became more and more confused; she even smelled Alexander's scent.
But she was still rational, three drinks with 5% Alcohol by Volume shouldn't make her so drunk that she lost her senses. She grabbed his clothes, trying to push him away, but Adrian suddenly whispered in her ear, "There are reporters, follow me."
Victoria was stunned for a moment because they had been followed by reporters before, she didn't look back and followed him with her head down.
But as she ran, she felt even more dizzy.
She was feeling dizzy, and her body was very heavy.
Adrian led her downstairs, intending to run out, but they were blocked.
"Here."
A familiar voice suddenly called out, and they met Ava.
After entering the room, Ava said, "Victoria, give me your coat."
"What?"
"Hurry."
"Okay."
Victoria had absolute trust in Ava, so she quickly gave her coat to Ava.
"I'll return it to you tomorrow. You two leave later. I'll go first."
Ava said and then ran out wearing Victoria's coat.
Adrian, afraid someone might break in, locked the door.
Victoria was still panting, and Adrian, seeing her shivering, thought she was cold and took off his coat to put it on her, "Are you okay?"
"I'm fine."
"Is your back hurting again?"
Adrian asked worriedly, seeing her pale face.
"No, what kind of drink did you give us?"
Victoria couldn't hold back and asked.
"Just a regular cocktail."
Victoria felt it wasn't just a regular cocktail.
A scene suddenly flashed in Adrian's mind. He had seen people play with that kind of stuff before, and he instinctively murmured, "Do you feel unwell?"
"Yes."
She nodded vigorously, her voice weak.
"We need to go to the hospital."
Adrian said immediately.
But someone knocked on the door, and he quickly looked towards it, not daring to make a sound.
Victoria felt extremely dizzy; her legs gave out, and she was about to fall to the ground.
Adrian quickly caught her, "Victoria?"
"Alexander."
She couldn't help but murmur.
Adrian felt a sharp pain in his heart.
Was she thinking of Alexander at a time like this?
Adrian thought he might be overwhelmed by jealousy. He couldn't help but hold her face, "Victoria, look at me, who am I?"
Victoria barely made out Adrian, but his face kept switching between Alexander and Adrian in her eyes.
She didn't dare to speak.
Because Alexander would never want to hear another man's name from her mouth.
She started to feel confused. Her body felt like it was on fire.
The knocking on the door became more forceful, and Adrian, seeing this, thought of settling her first, so he lifted her from the ground.
"Adi, don't worry about me."
Victoria's remaining rationality made her remind him while she was still somewhat clear-headed.
"I'll see who it is first."
The door was suddenly forced open from the outside.
Adrian had just reached the bedroom door when he saw several people standing in the room, and one of them walked in.
"Did I not hit you hard enough today?"Alexander said.
Adrian instinctively looked into the room. Victoria was lying on the bed, curled up, seemingly in pain.
"Get out."
Alexander said coldly, seeing Adrian lower his head without arguing.
As Adrian's cousin, Alexander felt his tolerance for Adrian had reached its limit.
Adrian quickly walked out but stopped at the door, turning back, "I was afraid she was drunk, so I ordered her a cocktail, but it seems the drink was spiked."
Alexander turned to look at him, his eyes coldly telling him to leave.
Soon, only two people were left in the room.
Alexander gently closed the bedroom door after entering.
Victoria was curled up on the bed, her clothes almost unbuttoned, her breathing chaotic.
Alexander walked up, restraining himself, and said softly, "Tori."
"Adi, Adi..."
She felt a familiar hand on her, wanting to push it away, but couldn't help but hold it tight, then turned her head.
She frowned, looking at the man sitting beside her.
"Go away, go away, I don't want to see you anymore."
Victoria instantly let go of his hand, holding her collar and running off the bed.
Alexander fell silent.
She told him to leave?
At a time like this, she was still calling for Adrian, looking at him with such disgust and pain, but she hugged Adrian.
He saw Adrian holding her, but she didn't move, even letting Adrian hold her hand and run.
This was his place, known to everyone, but Victoria didn't care at all.
Victoria probably didn't care about his reputation anymore.
Alexander thought he knew her well enough to be sure she wouldn't do anything inappropriate with Adrian.
He heard the bathroom door being slammed shut from inside, finally coming to his senses, and stood up.
If she was so obsessed with Adrian, then let her be with Adrian.
