Chapter 461 I Want to Hug You
Alexander held her horizontally, and they locked eyes in front of everyone.
At that moment, Victoria felt as if she were his wife.
The feeling of being protected, cared for, and cherished seemed real to her.
She couldn't help but keep looking at him, then silently leaned against his shoulder.
She hated this place.
She hated these villains.
She had never been lucky in this city.
She wondered if this was a sign that she didn't belong here and should leave.
However, how could she possibly escape when she was being held by the individual who had just rescued her?
He claimed he wanted to live with her forever.
He claimed his relationship with Isabella was clear.
Since it was someone else's responsibility, why did she get hurt?
Feeling indignant, Victoria instinctively held him tighter.
When she was carried to the private room, she couldn't help but glance inside.
Hypocrites were like wolves in human skin. They would all be punished.
Alexander carried her out of the restaurant and placed her in the car.
The wind suddenly picked up, but he still walked with the majesty of a king.
Victoria saw him circle to the front of the automobile and felt he was great.
Later, they arrived at the office building.
"Don't move." After Victoria unbuckled her seatbelt, Alexander instructed before getting out.
Victoria curiously watched him walk around to the passenger side to open her door.
Why was he being so considerate today?
And then he bent down and reached out.
By this time, she had calmed down and moved slightly inward. "I can walk by myself."
Earlier, she hadn't said anything while he carried her, mainly because she was so scared that her legs had gone weak.
She could pretend to be shocked and act calm in the face of danger.
But in reality, she had been very frightened.
If he hadn't come, she would have definitely ended up crying.
Seeing her shy away, Alexander whispered, "I want to carry you."
Victoria stared at Alexander in a stupor as he lifted her out.
"You should eat more. Otherwise, I can't even feel you when I carry you," Alexander said.
"What do you mean?" Victoria asked him naively.
Alexander didn't reply. He just smiled and carried her inside.
Victoria was puzzled but had little time to consider. She hurriedly hid her face in Mr. Harrington's chest after hearing someone greet him in the foyer due to too many colleagues.
His chest was warm and safe, so comforting.
"Good afternoon, Mr. Harrington. Good afternoon, Mrs. Harrington."
Despite her current plight, she was still acknowledged.
"Good afternoon." Alexander nodded politely.
Victoria peeked at him and thought his serious and stern demeanor was unbelievably handsome.
Looking at such a gorgeous face, she couldn't help but be moved.
Alexander took her upstairs and instructed Janaye, "Order two lunches to my office, please. Thank you."
"Yes, Mr. Harrington." Janaye stood aside, feeling relieved to see Victoria rescued.
She knew that the older man had bad intentions.
Alexander put Victoria on the bed in the lounge.
Victoria blushed with embarrassment. "Why did you put me on the bed?"
"I think you are too scared to sit." Alexander sat beside her and spoke softly, leaving Victoria speechless.
Could he not be so attentive?
She was useful.
She wouldn't be so scared when alone that she would let herself be bullied.
She would try her best to hold on...
Victoria looked up at him again.
Until she felt the familiar warmth on her lips, she snapped back to reality and quickly pulled away.
"Don't move. Your lipstick is smudged," Alexander said as he wiped her lips.
Victoria couldn't help but look at him.
Even wiping her lips, he was so serious, serious enough to make her heart race.
She felt like she was about to hand her heart over to him to trample on.
"What did he say?" Alexander suddenly asked.
Victoria snapped back. "He said I should praise him more in front of you."
Alexander paused and stared at her.
"He also said they saw me as a child and knew my parents were talented and in the press. We frequented Harrington family feasts," Victoria added.
"Really, do you remember?" Alexander asked.
"No." Victoria's soft voice quietly tugged at his heart.
He knew she wouldn't remember.
Her strongest impression of him was from the airport over two years ago.
He had truly fallen in love with her at the first sight.
Alexander finished wiping her lipstick and lowered his eyes, "From now on, don't easily agree to meet others. Always ask for details first."
"Got it," Victoria earnestly agreed.
But she couldn't help but stare at him.
'Are you blaming me for being careless and causing trouble, or are you worried I'd get hurt again?'
Victoria couldn't figure out his thoughts, and her mind started to wander.
Until her hand was wrapped in his warm hand, she stopped thinking.
She stared down at his gorgeous fingers in hers. At that moment, her heart seemed to stop.
Alexander tightened his heart as he glanced at her wedding band before looking up.
Victoria unintentionally met his gaze.
At that moment, perhaps it wasn't just one person's heart racing.
Victoria didn't know what he was restraining, but he seemed to be holding something back.
Alexander was still holding her ring finger and then leaned in to kiss her.
Victoria reflexively backed away.
Alexander didn't kiss her but stayed close to her face.
Victoria held her breath.
At that moment, the intimacy between them quickly grew intenser.
But neither of them moved.
The time you seemed to stand still.
Until he suddenly moved forward again. Victoria immediately leaned back and fell.
But as she fell, he had already secured her back.
"Mrs. Harrington, are you leading me on?" Alexander asked.
"What?" Victoria was stunned.
For some reason, her voice became hoarse.
Alexander looked at her lips but didn't explain further.
He quickly kissed her lightly on the lips, feeling the greedy beast inside him ready to break free.
Victoria's mind went blank.
Just then, there was a knock on the door.
"Mr. Kensington, your lunch is here." Janaye was outside, leading the executive chef of the office building.
Alexander stopped and smiled. "I really don't want to let you go."
Victoria held her breath and was speechless.
He stood up and pulled her up with him.
Victoria awkwardly sat on the bed as Alexander glanced at the door. "Bring it in."
In those few words, Victoria immediately jumped off the bed.
Alexander was stunned and almost started to chuckle at Victoria, who had captivated his attention.
How could she be so adorably silly, making it hard for him to suppress the beast in his heart?
