Chapter 663 The Woman He Always Protected

"She thinks the dog's dirty, but she doesn't get she's the dirtiest one," Arthur muttered to himself, watching Isabella shoo the dog and pick up clothes on the home surveillance.

Isabella couldn't handle the humiliation and whipped the car around. No way was she letting that stray dog near her fancy stuff.

Arthur found it hilarious, "Looks like she still doesn't get it."

His eyes seemed to say, "That stray dog she hates so much? That's her future."

Isabella saw the stray dog eyeing her suitcase, tears of humiliation streaming down her face. She screamed hysterically, "Get away, get away..."

Even a stray dog was humiliating her?

She looked at her childhood home and felt a wave of nausea.

The stray dog came closer. Her suitcase was open, and the scent of her clothes made the dog sniff. She snapped back to reality and lunged forward, "Get away, don't touch my clothes."

Isabella clutched her clothes tightly, sitting on the ground.

She looked pitifully at the dog until it barked twice, provoking her. She came to her senses, got up, and stumbled towards the car.

The stray dog took a few steps before turning back, more interested in the suitcase.

Isabella's body trembled as she gripped the steering wheel tightly, driving far away before daring to stop. She told herself, "Anything that humiliates me will be destroyed."

Back at the apartment, she came out of the shower and saw Victoria's skincare commercial on TV. She gritted her teeth, glaring at the face on the screen with intense hatred.

Naomi came out with a plate of food, "Since when do you wear your emotions on your sleeve?"

Isabella was taken aback, realizing it had been a long time since she had shown her emotions so openly.

She always believed in hiding her feelings.

But now, Victoria made her show an expression of extreme hatred.

She went back to her room and made a call, "We'll take action a day earlier."

It started drizzling this morning.

Victoria woke up and stretched by the window, looking at the rain. Rainy days always calmed her.

A soft sigh came from the bed. She turned and saw Alexander waking up, immediately smiling and walking towards him.

Alexander rubbed his forehead, looking at her as she got back into bed and lay on her lap, hugging her, "Why are you up so early?"

She replied, "Our baby is being a bit naughty."

She had been up early to throw up.

Alexander turned over, looking at her tired face, "What can I do to make you feel better?"

"Maybe in many years, if men could have babies, we women would feel better." Victoria stroked his short hair, talking about this great wish of women.

"I didn't expect you to have such a unique interest, but if the technology were available, I'd be willing," Alexander said seriously.

Victoria's heart skipped a beat. She was touched again.

Victoria suddenly felt he was really a good man. From the moment he mistakenly thought she had been raped until now, his acceptance had continuously surprised her.

And every time he accepted, it was for her.

Victoria stroked his hair, whispering, "I wouldn't want to make many concessions for you."

"That's right, you're the best at saying one thing and meaning another for me." Alexander hooked his hand around the back of her neck, pulling her down to kiss her.

Victoria felt her heart heat up, and though she was a bit slow to respond, she eventually held his head and kissed him back.

At this moment, she had an unrealistic illusion.

He knew everything hidden in her heart, including all her unexpressed, passionate feelings for him—her love.

And no matter when, Victoria could never remove Alexander from her heart.

She could only kiss him, over and over again.

Or maybe he was the same, kissing her before the chaos, kissing her endlessly.

The rain outside got heavier, hinting at a drop in temperature.

Her phone rang, and they finally separated.

But Alexander lay on her lap, hugging her, letting her answer the call, "Hello, Olivia."

"Victoria, have you seen the news? Isabella was kicked out of the Montgomery Mansion last night."

"Who kicked her out?" Victoria was stunned.

Isabella was the eldest daughter of the Montgomery family, the noble heir;

Being kicked out of the house didn't fit her image at all.

"Arthur. Yesterday, Arthur and Faye moved into the Montgomery Mansion. It's said that Naomi had another man's child, so Naomi was forced to divorce," Olivia said.

"So that's it." Victoria wasn't too surprised, understanding and remaining calm.

"We got the latest news. Arthur contacted me personally. We made a profit again." Olivia was in a good mood.

Victoria was happy too. There was more money!

"Are you up? With Alexander?"

"Yes, with him." Victoria lowered her eyes, looking at Alexander's face buried in her stomach, suddenly feeling very sweet.

"Then I won't disturb you. Goodbye." Olivia hung up.

Victoria put down her phone, gently stroking his hair, "Olivia said Isabella was kicked out of the house by her half-brother."

"She deserved it," Alexander said.

Victoria suddenly had a thought, whispering, "This has nothing to do with you, does it?"

"That day, Mom went to the OB-GYN to ask about your condition, and I happened to see Naomi there for a prenatal checkup."

This time, she couldn't stay calm.

Really shocked.

Naomi, over fifty, was pregnant again?

And Dorian was in prison, so...

She had betrayed Dorian long ago?

"Then someone must have tipped off Arthur. You know Dorian—messy in his own relationships but strict about his wife's. Plus, he always wanted to elevate Arthur," Alexander explained seriously.

Victoria nodded. "You do seem innocent."

Alexander smiled, "It really has nothing to do with me."

Victoria said no more. She understood Alexander had done something behind the scenes, but it couldn't be admitted.

But she never thought Alexander would do this. That was Isabella, the woman he used to value so much, the one he always protected.

How could he...

He must have really let go of Isabella and wanted to live well with Victoria. After all, Victoriae had their baby.

It was said that many men suddenly grow up and become family-oriented after having children. Especially someone like him, who loved to spoil his daughter.
