Chapter 922 You're Always Like This, Making Me Feel Insecure

Diana's mouth twitched as she listened, but she quickly smiled and said to Victoria, "So, shall we go house hunting tomorrow?"

"Sure." Victoria agreed.

She had to be attentive to Diana's matters.

In any case, she didn't want to accompany Alexander every day.

Alexander tried to stab his fork down again, but he still missed.

Victoria and Diana watched silently. Diana glanced at Alexander and couldn't help but wonder, just a moment ago, when Alexander looked at her, his eyes seemed fine.

But now, Alexander couldn't seem to get the food on his fork. What was going on?

Alexander sighed to himself, clearly frustrated that he couldn't get the food.

Victoria couldn't stand it anymore and helped Alexander with the food. Alexander looked at her and then said, "Thank you."

"Just eat." Victoria reminded softly.

Alexander had been upset more than once recently because he couldn't get the food on his fork.

And he was also upset because he often buttoned his clothes wrong.

That night, Diana stayed over. Victoria and Diana were chatting in the guest room when they heard a loud noise outside.

The two of them quickly ran out and saw Alexander clutching his thigh on the stairs.

Did he bump into the stairs?

"Alexander, are you okay?"

"I'm fine."

Alexander was unhappy.

Victoria looked at Alexander worriedly, then glanced at the steps, relieved that he had only bumped his leg. What if he missed a step and fell down the stairs?

This time he couldn't see clearly, what about next time?

Wouldn't he risk going blind? Victoria thought and reminded, "Be more careful next time. Make sure you can see clearly before you walk. If you can't, ask someone for help."

"I don't like people touching me. Weren't you with Diana? I didn't want to disturb you."

Alexander looked very aggrieved.

Diana, standing next to them, rolled her eyes.

It was obvious that Alexander resented her for monopolizing Victoria.

They were boy-girl twins; how could she not see that?

"We were just chatting for a bit."

"Alright, I took forever to shower and even burned my scalp while blow-drying my hair. I called you, but you didn't respond. I felt like I was waiting forever!"Victoria suddenly didn't know how to reply.

Why was Alexander feeling aggrieved?

Wasn't she accompanying his biological sister?

"I'm going back to my room to sleep. We'll talk tomorrow."

Diana exchanged a glance with Victoria and left.

Alexander watched Diana leave, then reached out to Victoria, "Help me back to my room and ask someone to bring me a glass of red wine."

"You want to drink?"

"I can't sleep. A little wine helps."

"But why can't you sleep? Did you sleep too much in the hospital?"

Alexander's long legs stopped, and he slowly turned to look at Victoria.

They stood at the door, staring at each other, but Alexander still looked like he couldn't see clearly.

Victoria asked Alexander, "Did I guess wrong?"

"Your period ended a while ago, right?"

"Is it coming again?"

"Why aren't you saying anything?"

Alexander pressed.

"Say what?"

"Say, to get another woman for you to vent?"

"If you need a woman, I can call one for you right now."

Victoria thought, 'Didn't you tell me not to mention this?'

'When I do, you're unhappy. When I don't, you're still unhappy?'

'Men are just so hard to read.'Alexander was helped back to the room by Victoria. She helped him to the bed and said softly, "Sit down."

Alexander grabbed her hand, and after sitting down, immediately pulled her into his arms, "Sleep with me."

"Don't I sleep with you every day?"

"You know what I mean."

He murmured, holding her tighter.

On the big bed, there were two quilts.

Victoria looked down at him and helplessly expressed, "You said you wouldn't force me."

"I'm not forcing you."

"Then what are you doing now?"

"Begging you."

"I'm begging you to sleep with me."

Alexander looked up, pitifully at Victoria, holding her.

"If you're begging me, then I won't agree to your request." Victoria replied stubbornly.

Alexander lowered his head and sighed helplessly.

If he forced her, she'd refuse. If he begged, she'd still say no. So, what now?

When Victoria came out after washing up, Alexander was still lying on the bed listening to a voice recording on his phone.

She walked over and looked around. "Where's my quilt?"

Alexander smiled and reached out, "Come here, I think I got a splinter in my hand. I can't see it."

"A splinter? What were you messing with again?"

Victoria listened and obediently walked over to take his hand. But before she could see his hand clearly, he pulled her into his arms and held her, "What could I be messing with? I just took that quilt away."

"Alexander, why are you like this?"

"Who sleeps with their wife in bed and doesn't share a quilt?"

The thin summer quilt was easy to hide.

Victoria later found the quilt behind his back, feeling slightly relieved.

She thought about stealing it back later.

Alexander was strong and hairy, and in the summer, with thin clothes, it was prickly.

She didn't want to sleep with him.

Besides, sharing a quilt made it hard not to have sex.

Even if it wasn't intentional, it would cause a physiological reaction.

"This translator's voice is too annoying. Can you read it to me?"

Alexander held Victoria and negotiated.

"Give me the phone."

Not only did he find it annoying, but she also thought the voice was too stiff.

Victoria looked at the position and asked him, "Did you hear the previous content?"

"No."

"Then what were you listening to?"

"Listening to you shower."

Victoria wanted to hit him, but his scattered gaze, mixed with a smile, made her reluctant to do so.

She started reading from the beginning. Alexander held her in his arms, covered them with the quilt, and then started exploring under the quilt.

She was wearing conservative pajamas, but he easily lifted them.

"Alexander, do you want to listen?"

"Don't you know, I'm doing this to get closer to you."

He murmured, suddenly flipping over and pressing her onto the bed.

Victoria held the phone to her chest with one hand and covered his lips with the other before he could kiss her, "Don't push it. If it weren't for Grandmother begging me, I wouldn't stay here."

"Then let her beg you a few more times."

Alexander expressed, removing Victoria's hand, he leaned in to kiss her, not wanting to wait another second.

Victoria wanted to push him away, but her hands were already pinned down. His lips were on hers, kissing her with a force that seemed to want to swallow her.

Soon, cool air filled the quilt. His kisses moved from her lips to her neck. She gasped for breath and reminded him, "Alexander, stop."

"Stop what?"

Alexander kissed her again, his hoarse voice asking Victoria.

She lowered her eyes, thought for a few seconds, and quickly responded, lightly scolding, "You're always like this, making me feel insecure."
