Chapter 826 Sexual Orientation Issues
"What?"
Victoria's heart sank.
She didn't understand his meaning, so Alexander immediately said indifferently, "I'll think about it."
Victoria held her breath, looking at him with grievance.
After thinking for a long time, she whispered, "We're getting a divorce."
"Impossible!"
"I want a divorce. I won't sleep with you."
"Then let Edward take Olivia away."
Victoria didn't want to deal with it anymore. She originally thought it was a misunderstanding, and Edward could explain it properly.
Later, Edward came, but Olivia ran upstairs, shut the door, and locked Edward out.
Edward turned around and looked at the two standing silently beside him. He suddenly stepped forward and asked softly, "Do you have a key?"
"Yes."
Alexander replied in a low voice.
Victoria immediately turned to look at Alexander. As he reached into his pocket, she instinctively stepped forward to press down on his wrist, stopping him from taking the key out.
Alexander looked at her in confusion and suddenly felt very excited.
Victoria was holding his hand.
Victoria, however, was looking at Edward. "You didn't cheat?"
"No. She's just a secretary, and she's already resigned. My current secretary is the one my dad used to have."
Edward quickly explained.
He was very picky, okay?
With a woman like Olivia, it was hard for him to fall in love with anyone else.
They were childhood sweethearts; he had liked Olivia since they were kids.
Victoria felt relieved when she heard he had fired his secretary, but she couldn't help but ask, "Does Olivia know you fired that woman?"
"I don't know."
Edward glanced at the door, thinking that if Olivia was standing at the door, she would know. If she wasn't, she probably didn't hear it.
"Should I give him the key?"
Alexander asked, looking at Victoria.
Victoria then looked at Alexander and suddenly realized she was holding his warm wrist. She immediately let go and said softly, "Give it to him."
After hearing Victoria's agreement, Alexander walked towards the guest room.
Victoria looked at him in confusion, "Where are you going?"
"To get the key."
Alexander looked at her innocently, clarifying.
Victoria stared at him blankly, so he was just putting his hand in his pocket for no reason.
Was he just simply putting his hand in his pocket?
Victoria felt a bit embarrassed and instantly deflated.
"Victoria, all your spare keys are in that guest room."
Edward suddenly whispered to her.
Victoria immediately perked up, feeling a bit incredulous and indescribably excited.
Edward smiled again, leaned closer, and whispered, "Help me smooth things over with Olivia, and I'll tell you all of Alexander's secrets. How about that?"
Hearing this, Victoria immediately became alert, her gaze towards him turning cautious.
"Do you still want the key?"
Alexander came out and saw Edward whispering in Victoria's ear. He immediately frowned in displeasure.
Hearing Alexander's voice, Edward looked up at Alexander's expression, quickly moved away from Victoria, and walked over to take the key, "Thanks."
Alexander scrutinized him, already regretting helping him, not knowing what he had said to Victoria.
Edward took the key and went to open the door, but he couldn't help but glance back at the two standing together again.
"Could you two stand a bit further apart?"
"Hurry up and open the door, that's our master bedroom."
Alexander was a bit impatient.
What if Olivia was sleeping in their bed?
He had replaced the bed because Victoria had back problems, so he had a custom mattress made. He didn't want anyone else lying on it.
Victoria knew Alexander was a bit of a neat freak, but he didn't have to be so urgent about it.
Victoria thought Olivia wouldn't lie on their bed; Olivia was someone with a strong sense of boundaries.
Edward guessed Olivia was probably at the door, so he gently and quickly pushed it open.
When Olivia heard the sound and turned around, her wrist was already caught by him.
Edward pulled her, "Honey, let's talk about this at home. This is Alexander's master bedroom, and he's a neat freak. Come on out."
"No, let go of me, Edward, you're hurting me."
Olivia tried to escape, but she was soon forcibly carried out by Edward.
"Alexander, I'll just borrow one of your guest rooms for tonight, no time to waste."
Edward said as he carried Olivia away.
Victoria wanted to point out a guest room for him, but before she could, Edward had already taken Olivia to the farthest room.
Victoria awkwardly withdrew her hand, hoping Alexander hadn't noticed.
Alexander, indeed, hadn't noticed; he sighed in frustration.
Others could reconcile after a fight and not go as far as divorce, but the two of them were not like that.
He hadn't had sex in over a year.
No wonder people outside suspected his sexual orientation; he was starting to doubt it himself.
Alexander turned to look at Victoria, finding her with her head down, lost in thought. He suddenly got very angry. She ignored his frustration just now; she didn't care about him at all.
"I'm going to check on Strawberry."
"Wait."
Alexander was about to leave, but when Victoria called him, he stopped instantly.
Victoria looked at him for a few seconds, but his eyes seemed a bit expectant.
She just wanted to say, "You should sleep with Strawberry tonight. You can't be away from her for even a moment, right?"
Alexander was instantly very disappointed.
Tonight's dinner had already left him tasteless, and tonight's Victoria made him even more uncomfortable.
He entered Strawberry's room, closing the door gently.
Victoria withdrew her gaze, but before returning to the bedroom, she suddenly remembered Edward's words.
Could Alexander have put all the spare keys in his guest room?
Victoria thought he had just gone into Strawberry's room and wouldn't come out for at least ten minutes, so she quietly entered the guest room Alexander had stayed in.
For some reason, it felt a bit cold inside, but she went straight to his nightstand.
Even though he wasn't in there, she still crouched down carefully, and when she opened the drawer, she instinctively made the sound as light as possible.
The drawer contained nothing but their wedding rings.
But Edward had clearly said all the spare keys were in here.
Was Edward just joking?
Or were the keys not in this drawer?
She quickly opened the lower drawer, but it was also empty. She instinctively turned to look at the half-cabinet by the door.
Could it be there?
Victoria quietly bent over and walked there, her back stiff and aching, but she had to endure it.
She checked each one, but there was nothing inside.
How strange, she must not have searched thoroughly enough.
Victoria looked at the closet inside and continued her search.
Later, she sat on the bed, exhausted, and sighed. 'Why couldn't I find it?'
Her mind buzzed, and she suddenly remembered something. 'Didn't Edward take the master bedroom key?'
Damn it.
'The key should be hanging on the master bedroom door.'
Victoria thought, hitting her head.
She felt her memory had been terrible lately, often making stupid mistakes.
But since she was here, she might as well search other rooms' keys here, right? She turned and saw Alexander's pillow, instantly pouncing on it and putting her hand under the pillow.
Then the door creaked, and she hurriedly turned around.
In the dim light, a tall man had already stepped in, and the door was closed.
