Chapter 376 After the American Dream

"Good night."

After Alexander returned to bed, Victoria had already fallen asleep.

In her dreams, she still couldn't understand what love really meant.

He lay beside her, observing the tears in the corners of her eyes as she slept, softly brushing them away with his thumb. He knew she was still skeptical. In fact, when he first came back to the city, he had doubts himself. He couldn't believe how fast he had become so involved with her.

Step by step, he forced her, not allowing her to resign, not allowing her to leave the city, and then forcefully making her wear a wedding ring, forcing her to marry him.

He held her close, then gently lay down beside her, looking down at her, feeling like she was in his arms.

His breathing was restrained, his body as well.

‘No luck tonight, there's always tomorrow night. Eventually, they will unite." With this belief, Alexander paid no attention to the pouring rain outside and drifted off into a beautiful dream.

In his dream.

"Honey."

The girl was lying on the bed in a sheer red gown, her alluring figure clearly visible. She had a seductive expression in her eyes. As he moved closer, she lay down more provocatively, waiting for him to choose her.

"Alexander, wake up," Victoria called out to him to wake him up.

"What's this?" Alexander asked.

Early in the morning, Victoria woke up puzzled and panicked, still half asleep.

She struggled to open her eyes, then quickly lay back down, managing to say, "Just go wash up first."

"But..." Victoria mumbled.

"Go," Alexander ordered.

"Okay," Victoria replied.

Victoria couldn't understand him, but he seemed a bit fierce, so she obediently went to the bathroom to wash up.

After she left, Alexander lay on the bed and sighed.

She was dressed so conservatively. What was he thinking?

He woke up early in the morning pretending to be dead. After cleaning up and getting back into bed, Victoria saw the man pulling the sheets and looked at him with even more confusion. "What are you doing?”

"The sheets are dirty. I'll wash them," Alexander replied.

Was Alexander going to wash the sheets himself?

"Oh, do you have new sheets? Change them." Alexander asked.

"I do." Victoria agreed and subconsciously went to open the closet to find the sheets.

She wanted to change them herself, but Alexander went to the balcony to wash the sheets.

After cleaning them, he placed them in the washing machine, then returned to see her struggling.

He approached her and said, "Let me do it." Victoria turned to face him, but he had already moved closer and bent over.

He was surprisingly skillful, as if he had been rigorously trained.

Even doing household chores, he was so organized.

Victoria couldn't help but stare at him. Not only was he organized, but his posture was perfect.

He must have taken etiquette classes seriously, right?

The longer Victoria gazed at him, the more captivated she felt. After laying out the sheets, she stood there in awe. Alexander tidied the bed, neatly folding the blanket, stood up tall, then turned to her.

He noticed her staring at him in a trance and couldn't help but approach her. "Honey?”

Victoria snapped out of it, her face flushed. "What's up?"

Alexander struggled not to laugh. Was she feeling shy?

He was just making the bed. What was she thinking?

“I've put the sheets in the washing machine. They'll be ready in forty-five minutes. While we wait, we can..." Alexander suggested.

"I haven't freshened up yet," Victoria responded, turning away from him.

But Alexander quickly pulled her back, embraced her, and asked, "I just wanted to ask you, what should we have for breakfast?"

Victoria's ears burned as she thought, ‘What can they have for breakfast, just toast? Simple, easy, hard to mess up. But wait, when did he get this pair of pajamas? I hadn't noticed before that he was wearing a gray set last time, and now it's navy blue.’

She looked up at him, staring at him curiously. "When did you bring pajamas here?"

The doorbell suddenly rang, as both of them looked towards the door.

Who could it be so early in the morning?

"I'll go open the door," Victoria said.

"No, I'll go," Alexander refused.
