Chapter 68 Pushing the Door Open, She Saw that Scene
Benjamin looked at her and then glanced outside.
Later, when Alexander returned, Benjamin didn't linger and simply sent a WhatsApp message after leaving, "Isabella cried while having lunch with Victoria."
Feeling irritated, Alexander placed his phone on the table upon receiving the message, then looked at the woman on the sofa gazing at him so affectionately, "You had lunch with Victoria?"
"Yes, I came to find you, but you weren't here, so I ate the lunch I brought with her. What's wrong?"
"It's fine; you two don't need to interact in the future," Alexander said indifferently.
"Alexander."
She stood up, walked to his desk, leaned against it, and faced him.
Victoria entered to deliver coffee.
After pushing the door open, she saw them.
Isabella was leaning against the edge of the desk, and her slender legs were intimately close to Alexander.
Their blatant intimacy made Victoria immediately avert her gaze.
Alexander stood up immediately and looked at Victoria, "Don't come in this afternoon."
"Okay."
Victoria placed the coffee on the table by the sofa and then left with the coffee tray.
Isabella suddenly called out to her, "Victoria, just forget what I said at lunch, okay? We're still good friends."
Good friends?
Victoria nodded slightly, bowed her head, and then left.
After she left, Isabella suddenly looked at the man standing by the window and asked him, "Alexander, don't you think Victoria, even though she is quiet, has quite a temper?"
"Really? I haven't noticed," Alexander said, looking out in annoyance, but after a few seconds, he turned back and looked at the woman still sitting on his desk, "Isabella, don't come by again."
"What?"
"If she upsets you, why bother seeing her again?"
"Then you can just fire her."
Isabella stepped forward again.
Alexander sneered, and his gaze suddenly turned icy cold.
Isabella's steps towards him abruptly halted.
"Haven't you contacted Sebastian?" Alexander suddenly asked her.
Isabella's expression immediately turned unpleasant, but she quickly composed herself, "Why would I contact him? He's not my fiancé."
"Let's go, I'll take you back."
Alexander looked at her for a few seconds, then strode towards the door with long strides.
She was unwilling to leave; Isabella didn’t know what Alexander and Victoria would do in this room once she left.
She still remembered how she found Victoria's nightwear was in his office the last time she was here.
How shameless!
Victoria's lips were swollen at that time, indicating that they...
Isabella's mood grew increasingly uneasy. Did he no longer want to take responsibility for her?
Isabella followed him; after all, she had to hold onto his arm.
As Alexander left, Victoria happened to be printing materials and didn't look up.
"Alex, wait for me."
Isabella caught up and quickly wrapped her arms around his, trying to hold his hand.
"Vicky, we're leaving, see you at our place tonight."
Isabella suddenly turned to greet Victoria.
Victoria had to look up. Alexander looked displeased at Isabella and immediately grasped her wrist to separate their hands.
Jasmine pretended to type but sneakily watched the two entering the elevator.
Only after the elevator closed did she suddenly turn around, "Do you think Miss Montgomery and Mr. Harrington had a fight? Miss Montgomery kept trying to hold Mr. Harrington's hand, but Mr. Harrington kept pulling away."
"Is that so?"
Victoria patiently responded, finished printing the materials, and returned to her seat to bind them.
"Well, based on my keen woman's intuition, Miss Montgomery will surely make Mr. Harrington happy again soon."
