Chapter 856 The Only Thing I Want to Own is You

Diana was sent home. After getting out of the car, she turned to look at Alexander, who was holding the steering wheel. "Aren't you coming in?"

"You go ahead."

He responded indifferently.

Diana paused at the door and then turned back to his car. She leaned in and softly said, "Don't go out again, get some rest, okay?"

Alexander smiled faintly at her and softly asked, "Diana, if I told you I couldn't live without Victoria, would you still try to stop me?"

Diana looked at Alexander in disbelief.

Diana couldn't understand why Alexander would say such a thing. Was Victoria really that good?

When they were kids, he always loved going to Victoria's house. He would give Victoria all the good stuff first, not her. Others might not know this, but she remembered it vividly.

Why was he still like this after all these years?

Did he not have any evidence of Victoria being with Adi?

So he thought Victoria and Adi were never together?

Diana choked up. She thought Alexander was being incredibly foolish.

Frosty Summit Hotel Club.

Benjamin was drinking with William. When they heard the door open, they both looked up, surprised.

"What are you doing here?"

"Drinking."

Alexander said, sitting in his usual spot.

Benjamin and William looked at Alexander curiously. "Didn't you just drop Diana off at home?"

"Yes."

Alexander didn't deny it. He leaned over to pour himself a drink and, seeing that their glasses were empty, filled them up, too.

"Diana doesn't like Victoria, but it shouldn't be that serious, right?"

Benjamin pondered and asked him.

Alexander smiled helplessly, put down the bottle, and picked up his glass but then lost interest in drinking.

"It's because you have liked Victoria since you were kids. Your attention was always on her, stirring jealousy in Diana."

Alexander silently glanced at Benjamin, then put down his drink and leaned back on the sofa.

When they were kids, he did like going to Victoria's house.

But it seemed like many friends remembered, except Victoria.

He knew he couldn't blame her; she was too young back then.

But thinking about Victoria, he didn't ask him to take her home. He still felt a pang of sadness.

"But why doesn't Victoria want to get back together with you?"

William couldn't understand. After all, Alexander was so devoted.

Hearing this, Alexander's expression suddenly turned cold.

Benjamin also looked at Alexander, thought for a while, and exchanged a glance with William.

They were not suited to discuss Alexander's affairs.

Rockland Street Apartment.

"Mrs. Harrington, aren't you going to rest?"

"I will."

Victoria nodded, but her eyes fixed on their smart lock.

Eve walked over and stood beside her, her expression growing more serious. "Is it not safe?"

"Yeah."

Victoria couldn't understand. She had changed the password to her parents' wedding anniversary, so how did Alexander still know it?

How many of her family's secret dates did he know?

"Should I call Frank to change the lock?"

"No, I don't mean that. Eve, does Frank know your birthday?"

"Yes."

Eve felt inexplicably nervous.

"What about your elders' birthdays?"

Eve was stunned by her question and shook her head blankly.

Victoria slowly squatted down, resting her elbows on her knees, her chin in her hands, staring at the lock in a daze.

But now, Eve began to see why Victoria was so focused on the smart lock.

Victoria had just changed the password last night, but Alexander still got in.

Eve was impressed by Alexander's ability to open the door.

"How about using your birthday?"

"Mine? Mr. Harrington doesn't know that."

Eve thought and replied.

But after they excitedly changed the password, in the middle of the night, Eve got up from bed again, listened for a while, and then lay back down.

Victoria woke up from her sleep, a wave of frustration washing over her as she realized the person lying behind her was him.

Alexander lay on his side, quietly looking at her. "What's wrong?"

In the middle of the night, he sneaked into her house and had the nerve to ask her what was wrong.

Victoria lay back down, and neither of them spoke.

But the next evening, as soon as Victoria got off work, she and Eve squatted by the door. "How about we don't use birthdays or anniversaries as passwords? Just random numbers."

"Okay."

Victoria quickly agreed.

They used those numbers because they were easy to remember.

But they usually didn't use passwords, relying on facial recognition.

Changing the password now wasn't to keep Alexander out; it felt more like a challenge.

Victoria just wanted to find a set of numbers that Alexander couldn't crack.

Then they would win.

In the middle of the night.

The door sounded.

Then, the two of them stood by the door, silently staring at the lock.

And the door opened again.

Victoria and Eve, both in their pajamas, watched Alexander open the door. Eve immediately turned and left.

Victoria crossed her arms, standing by the door, staring at him.

He was still wearing his suit from the day, looking very handsome.

'Damn it, why do I care what he is wearing?'

Victoria cursed herself for losing focus and then walked around him.

Alexander stood still, letting her inspect him.

Victoria couldn't find anything, so she went to check the door. She opened it to look at the lock outside, then closed it to check inside.

She even suspected Alexander had installed surveillance at her door.

But she changed the password using her phone.

She could only look up at the calm and tall Alexander.

His humble yet calm demeanor puzzled her.

"Did you install surveillance in my house?"

"Yes, didn't you know?"

Alexander looked at her and answered, then walked inside with his long legs.

Victoria realized Eve was gone and chased after him. "Alexander, you can't walk into my house like this."

"Are you sure this is your house?"

Victoria walked in front of him, hands on her hips, blocking his way, looking up at him tiredly.

"Alexander, let's not discuss whose house this is. Just talk about our agreement. You can't go back on your word, understand?"

"Do you really like this place?"

Alexander suddenly asked.

Victoria thought there was a scheme behind his words.

"You're not planning to buy it just because I like it, are you?"

Victoria was suddenly scared he would do that.

She was living here quite well and didn't want to be kicked out.

Alexander smiled, "The only thing I want to own is you."
