Chapter310 If You Don't Love Someone, You Shouldn't Be Handsy with Them
Alexander found himself at a loss, unsure of their next course of action.Suddenly, Victoria's heels lifted off the ground, her surprise evident as she clutched his shoulders tightly with both hands. With an effortless grace, Alexander hoisted her up, her delicate legs finding a perch on his waist. "Hold on," he warned, "if you fall, it's not my fault."A blush crept up Victoria's cheeks, and she didn't dare to apply any force, fearing she might tumble. "Alexander," she began.Their surroundings were cramped. Before Victoria could finish her sentence, Alexander had already whisked her to the bedroom door.Awkwardly, Victoria lowered her gaze, unintentionally catching sight of his cold, stern features. Her heart fluttered uncontrollably. He should know better than to touch a girl he didn't love. His actions were misleading. She might misconstrue them, believe that he was in love with her, perhaps even deeply so."I suggested we return to Regal Retreat," Alexander said, carrying her towards the bathroom. "It's more spacious there, and you'll have ample opportunities to argue."Victoria's gaze followed their path before quickly averting, too embarrassed to maintain eye contact. "Where are you taking me?""To bathe," he replied simply."No, Alexander, please don't. Put me down," Victoria pleaded."We're husband and wife. What's wrong with bathing together?" Alexander countered."We won't be for much longer. Please, let me go," Victoria said.
Ignoring her plea, Alexander pressed her against the bathroom door, sealing her protests with a domineering kiss. He only released her when he heard her whimper in pain. "I warned you," he murmured ambiguously, "if you said 'No,' I would kiss you a thousand times."Victoria was left speechless, her mind ablaze. He was true to his word, kissing her again and again.Trembling, Victoria pushed against his shoulders, attempting to create some distance between them. She had never been in such a compromising position with a man before this summer vacation.Yet, she found it hard to adjust. She tried to lessen the intimacy between them, but he held her aloft, his dark eyes fixed on her lips as if preparing for another kiss. All she could do was avert her gaze to his reddened neck, then his nose and mouth, whispering, "Can you not do this?""Okay," Alexander replied indifferently, causing her to look up in surprise."Tell me you love me," Alexander said.
Victoria froze. She thought she might never be able to utter those words in her lifetime.Their complicated, unresolved relationship had buried her true feelings deep within. She didn't even dare to look at him directly, let alone confess her love."Can you change the request?" Victoria asked softly, her gaze lowered. She hoped he would alter his demand, something she could fulfill.Even though they were in her apartment, where she should have the freedom to choose, she felt submissive the moment she saw him.Love was supposed to be sweet.Victoria's parents often expressed their love openly when she was a child. But when she fell in love herself, she realized how fleeting that sweetness could be. Love was slowly eroded over time. Right now, all she wanted was for him to leave her alone.
"Give yourself to me," Alexander stated firmly.Victoria looked at him, his gaze so deep and determined that her will started to waver. She whispered, "Only if you marry me in family court."
