Chapter 446 Stop Making Promises
"Hey, don't kiss me." Victoria quickly held his chin to stop him from getting closer.
Alexander just smiled. "I had a few drinks tonight. If I'm too rough, I'll apologize tomorrow."
Victoria was stunned., thinking, 'Is he saying he is drunk?'
But earlier, in front of her friends, Alexander seemed perfectly normal.
How could she resist Alexander's advances? Soon, she opened her arms as if surrendering, and his thin lips landed on her jaw.
Victoria could smell the alcohol on his breath, and her heart raced wildly.
This was in the car, with the driver in the front.
But Alexander showed no restraint, quickly capturing her lips in a forceful, unyielding kiss.
Victoria quickly felt short of breath, or maybe it was the blood rushing to her head, and her mind went blank.
Alexander's sexy, powerful fingers soon gripped her slender calf. When he was almost losing control, he stopped, panting, and said in a low voice, "Baby, can you wear a skirt next time?"
Victoria struggled to catch her breath. Hearing his request, she immediately refused, "No."
As soon as Victoria spoke, her mouth was captured again, and it hurt so much she thought her lips would swell.
"I promise it won't happen again. Just wear a beautiful skirt, okay?" Alexander coaxed softly, unable to resist glancing at the buttons on her shirt.
"Isn't it happening right now?" Victoria clung tightly to his strong arm, reminding him.
'He knows why I never want to wear skirts again.' Victoria felt a strange sadness in her heart.
She had thought he didn't care.
But if Alexander knew so much about her, how could he not see that she didn't want to deepen their relationship?
Why wouldn't he let her go?
If Alexander couldn't be devoted to one woman, he could continue searching in his world. There were plenty of women out there. Why did it have to be her?
Victoria felt he could let her go. He had always been decisive and ruthless. What was one woman to him?
But now...
Alexander gradually came to a stop, staring straight at her.
Later, Alexander couldn't help but ask Victoria, "Do you really think I'm like those people?"
Victoria's heart sank.
His gaze made her feel guilty, but she quickly steeled herself and looked at him seriously. "Then why do you act this way?"
"Is it wrong to have desires for my wife?" Alexander asked.
"But you didn't need me before," Victoria retorted.
Alexander suddenly felt a bit sad.
"And you also said you would respect me, that you wouldn't get into my bed without my consent or do anything inappropriate to me," Victoria added.
Listening to her, Alexander felt a bit guilty, 'Why do I say those things to her?'
"But we're not the same as before," Alexander explained.
"How so?" Victoria mustered the courage to ask. She wanted to know what he truly thought.
Alexander was silent for a moment, his deep eyes mixing with an unreadable smile. He spoke patiently, so only she could hear, "We'll have our own children, a very close relationship. But I promise, no one will ever hurt you again."
"Alexander, stop making promises you can't keep," Victoria retorted.
