Chapter 370 Very Flattering
The man walked in with large strides, then suddenly stopped. Victoria and Janaye looked at him with confusion. Victoria quickly regained her composure and stood up. "Hello."
"Are you the wife of The Harrington?" a stranger asked.
Victoria looked at him with confusion. At this moment, she had a feeling that this person was here for her. However, she had no impression of this person at all. Looking at his attire, Victoria quickly flipped through some images in her mind, then noticed the badge on his chest, which made her even more puzzled. 'Is this important guest of Alexander actually a designer from TI? TI is a well-known wedding dress designer, both domestically and internationally. What is he doing here?'
"It's you, come with me." The man looked at her for a moment then at the curious little girl sitting next to her for ten minutes, making an immediate judgment before talking his way inside. Victoria followed him in. The man was already sitting on the sofa, legs crossed.
"Alexander spared no expense to invite me, so I can't disappoint him. Madam, please turn around." Victoria had just walked in when the man gestured for her to turn around. Alexander leaned against the side of the desk, smiling with a soothingly deep voice, "Just turn around."
Victoria reflexively turned around. The man raised his chin, "Not bad, just a bit small in the chest, but a slight padding will fix that."
Alexander, hearing someone comment on his wife's chest size, immediately looked at Victoria. Victoria felt even more embarrassed, but couldn't help but ask, "May I ask, what are you doing?"
It was clear that Alexander and this man had a plan. "Didn't Alexander tell you I'm here to design your wedding dress?" James Patel, the main designer of TI, turned to look at Alexander. Alexander handled with composure, straightened up and walked over to Victoria, holding her hand as she moved forward. Soon, the three of them were sitting on the sofa. Janaye came in, served tea, then left. Alexander then slowly spoke, "Are you used to drinking Chinese tea?"
"Not often, but don't think I can't tell good from bad." James replied. Alexander knew he was eccentric, so he didn't take it seriously. James frowned when taking a sip, "This tea is just average."
"This is from Taiping Huikui prefecture level city in Yunnan, it costs $600,000 per kilogram." Victoria reminded him. James looked at her, "Mrs. Harrington has quite the temper."
Victoria immediately shut her mouth, blaming herself for not holding back. She couldn't stand others belittling someone. Alexander was finding it hard to suppress a smile and couldn't help but lean towards his wife, pretending to be serious, and said, "As my wife said, Mr. Patel, please taste it again. After a few sips, you will naturally feel its quality."
Victoria thought he was right. She could taste it after a few more sips. But James Patel kept staring at Victoria, probably afraid of being mocked. Finally, he reluctantly said, "I think it tastes better this time. Let's get down to business."
"Mr. Patel is the main designer who will be in charge of the dresses you will need for our wedding." Alexander said, turning to her with a low voice. Victoria's mind buzzed as she looked at him seriously, trying to confirm with him, "Wedding? Ours?"
"Of course, ours." Alexander held her hand, smiling at her flatteringly. Yes, he suddenly smiled like that, it was very flattering. He was Alexander, the pride of heaven. Victoria pulled her hand away. "How is that possible?" She stood up, about to leave.
"Stop right there," a sudden stern voice called out.
