Chapter 582 Alexander, I'm Sorry
Since that day, Frank had been staying with Victoria, and Alexander went to work.
On the morning of Victoria being discharged, Isabella suddenly appeared at the hospital entrance.
Arabella personally came to take Victoria back to the Harrington Mansion, with Frank carrying the luggage behind them.
Isabella stepped forward, "Mrs. Harrington, I didn't expect Victoria to be discharged so soon. I came specifically to see her."
Isabella was holding expensive gifts and spoke politely.
Arabella, however, sneered, "Of course, you didn't want my daughter-in-law to be discharged so soon. You'd rather she stayed in the hospital, wouldn't you?"
"Mrs. Harrington, that's not what I meant." Isabella denied.
"You better not mean that. Let's go." Arabella held Victoria's hand and led her out.
Isabella had no choice but to follow, "I want to apologize to Victoria for the mistake my father made in a moment of impulse. Mrs. Harrington, Victoria, please forgive him, okay?"
Isabella was anxious and looked sincere.
"Forgive? In your dream." Arabella couldn't be bothered to waste words and directly refused.
"Victoria, say something. You have a soft heart. My father is old and won't be able to endure so much suffering in prison."
"You've got me wrong. In fact, I always seek revenge." Victoria said coldly, then turned, "Frank."
"Yes." Frank immediately stepped forward, separating Isabella from her.
"Mom, let's go."
Victoria and Arabella didn't want to waste any more energy on such a twisted person and got into the car.
Isabella watched them leave, feeling anxious. She wanted to catch up but was stopped. She could no longer ignore the large man and asked, "Are you the new attendant for the Harrington family?"
"I only serve Mrs. Harrington."
"What's your name?"
"Frank Patterson," Frank replied, then turned and left with Victoria's luggage.
Isabella found the name familiar but couldn't recall where she had heard it.
She went to the Montague Group's general manager's office to see Sebastian. Sebastian smiled and said, "How could you not know Frank? Your father wanted him to be your bodyguard back then, but he refused even for a high price."
"Didn't he say he wouldn't come to this city?" Isabella felt annoyed.
Sebastian laughed, "There's no one in this world that Alexander can't get."
Isabella felt stifled and couldn't help but say, "I really don't understand why he's so crazy about Victoria. Victoria clearly caused her own parents' death, and yet he..."
Sebastian said, "Isabella, the night Victoria had the accident, it was your car."
"What? I don't understand." Isabella's mind buzzed, but she quickly denied it.
Sebastian said, "That blue car is still parked under my company building, isn't it?"
"Blue car? I did come in a blue car, but what's the problem with that?" Isabella asked.
"The night Victoria had the accident, your car suddenly appeared and blocked Adrian's car."
"How is that possible? I don't know anything about this." Isabella shook her head.
"Do you think anyone will believe you?" Sebastian listened to her pale explanation, disappointed.
He once thought Isabella was glamorous and resourceful, but it turned out she was just a despicable and vile person.
His father was right; he was a poor judge of character.
"Isabella, please stop doing such things, okay?" Sebastian felt that if she continued like this, no one would be able to save her.
Alexander just didn't like Isabella. He was married and entirely focused on Victoria. Sebastian didn't understand why Isabella couldn't accept that fact.
Fortunately, Victoria was fine this time. Othewise...
Alexander was not the type to harm the innocent, even without evidence.
Luckily, Victoria only needed stitches and woke up early.
But Isabella should already know Dorian's fate. He wouldn't be out for at least ten years. When Dorian got out, he would just be a useless old man.
Sebastian felt that Dorian was Alexander's warning to her. If she didn't repent, she would follow the same path.
Isabella, trying to calm down, asked, "I didn't do anything. Why are you accusing me?"
"Isabella..."
"Shut up. You have no right to call me that anymore. Since you don't trust me, I won't see you again." After saying that, Isabella turned and left Sebastian's office. Her heart was racing, and she felt like she was done.
She went home and threw herself onto the couch, feeling despondent.
Her house used to be bustling, with people visiting every day. But now, the large house was empty.
Sebastian's words echoed in her ears. Now everyone suspected her.
She didn't care about others; she was just worried that Alexander had no feelings for her anymore.
She thought, 'How can he hire Frank for Victoria? I had told him about Frank when we were kids, and he didn't help me but helped Victoria instead. Damn it.'
Victoria managed to escape again.
Isabella hadn't expected Dorian to fail.
He claimed no girl he liked could escape his grasp, but now he ended up in prison.
Naomi came back from outside. Seeing Isabella sitting alone on the couch, she walked over and sat down. "How come you're back?"
Isabella asked back, "Where did you go?"
"Out to have some fun and cheer myself up," Naomi replied.
"With what happened to Dad, you still have the mood to have fun?"
"Isn't it his own fault? It's one thing to sleep with those women, but how dare he sleep with the future Mrs. Harrington? Of course, hewould get into trouble," Naomi said mockingly.
Isabella looked at her in confusion. "He was just having some fun outside. As long as he acknowledges this family, isn't that what you always said?"
"Wait until your half-brother comes to fight you for everything in the Montgomery Group, then you won't say that." Naomi said as she got up to leave. She was really tired, feeling that all her efforts over the years had been in vain.
"I don't believe Dad really has a bastard," Isabella said.
Dorian had said he was proud of her.
He had said that the Montgomery Group would belong to his only daughter in the future. It was impossible for him to have another child outside.
"Isabella, I've seen through it now. Men who cheat are all unreliable," Naomi said and then left the couch.
After Naomi left, Isabella felt uneasy again.
It seemed her early planning was correct.
The reason Isabella chose today to visit Victoria was to create the illusion that she had nothing to do with the incident. She wanted to make it seem like everything stopped with Dorian.
Otherwise, the next person to go to prison would be her.
Isabella checked the time and immediately grabbed her phone and went out.
She had to go to the Harrington Mansion. If nothing unexpected happened, Alexander would definitely return there tonight.
——
At nine o'clock in the evening, Alexander rushed back from out of town, with local specialty snacks on the passenger seat. He drove steadily to the Harrington Mansion entrance.
Seeing his car return, Isabella immediately got out of her car and walked towards him in the light rain, her face full of remorse.
It was quite cold on a rainy day in October.
Alexander's car slowly stopped, and the window rolled down a bit.
Isabella said, "Alexander, I'm sorry. I didn't know my dad would do such a thing."
