Chapter 1016 Try Moving Again
Victoria felt a chill as she touched the inside of the bag, finding it hard and unyielding.
She had no idea what it was and didn't want to mess with it. She figured Alexander would tell her.
After all, expecting a blind person with no memory to guess a gift was just plain silly.
Alexander noticed she was waiting for him to speak, so he leaned close to her ear and whispered, "If you can't sleep tonight, just..."
Victoria's face turned crimson instantly.
"This is for..."
He deliberately whispered in her ear, his eyes quickly lowering to catch the blush spreading across her cheeks, his gaze growing more smug.
Victoria thought he was shameless.
Was he finally showing his true colors?
And he said he would teach her how to use it.
Victoria felt frustrated but didn't dare show it.
She even wanted to throw the bag away, but in the end, it stayed on her lap.
"Mr. Alexander Harrington, Mr. Adrian Harrington hasn't left yet."
The housekeeper came over to speak.
Alexander turned to look at her. "He hasn't left?"
"Yeah, he said he wants to stay a few more days. He's been in the sound room upstairs and had some equipment moved in today."
"Alright, let him be."
Alexander thought about it and agreed.
But when he looked at Victoria, he couldn't help but say, "But you can't get close to him, can't let him sit next to you, and can't let him keep staring at you, got it?"
Not getting close and not letting him sit next to her were things she could reluctantly agree to.
But how was she, a blind person, supposed to know if someone was staring at her?
When he grabbed her shoulder, she reflexively shrank back, but he quickly rested his forehead on her shoulder, and she didn't pull away.
She was used to his little gestures.
Like now.
He hugged her shoulder and snuggled closer.
Adrian came out and saw the couple being all lovey-dovey, though it was mostly Alexander snuggling up to her, so he immediately turned around and went back.
Loving someone was easy, but letting go was so hard.
He had already decided to give Ava an explanation, but seeing them together still made his heart ache.
He knew that for the rest of his life, he couldn't be with Victoria, and he couldn't hurt her anymore.
Alexander didn't expect so many people for dinner. Edward and Olivia had also come.
Olivia came to settle accounts, pulling Victoria into the study and explaining everything to her.
She asked Victoria, "Do you understand?"
Victoria smiled and shook her head.
Olivia sighed, holding her hand and sitting in a chair, "Just know that all this money is in your account. I didn't take a penny."
Victoria wanted to ask if she had mistaken her for someone else.
How could she have earned so much money?
She hadn't done anything.
She had just been pulled out of a very dark place, and now she was used to everyone calling her Tori, but she didn't recognize this identity.
She always suspected that they were either playing along with Alexander, pretending she was someone else, or they had genuinely mistaken her.
And because of this mistake, she had enjoyed a period of happiness.
After settling the accounts, everyone went to the dining room.
With so many people, they opened some red wine.
Olivia asked, "Can't Tori have a little too?"
Alexander was pouring wine for Olivia. Hearing this, he glanced at Victoria sitting next to him, "You wanna drink?"
Victoria touched the edge of the table, found her wine glass, and slowly picked it up.
Seeing her trying to fit in, Alexander finished pouring for Olivia and stood by her side, filling her glass, "Just one glass."
Victoria nodded in agreement.
Originally, it was supposed to be just one glass, but as everyone chatted happily, Alexander glanced at Victoria and inexplicably poured her another.
Later, everyone went upstairs to the sound room.
Adrian and Edward were having a karaoke battle, while Alexander sat on the couch with Victoria, watching her sip her wine and listen to music, feeling something flutter inside him.
Her face was flushed.
She drank in small sips, not much at a time.
But she was a bit drunk without realizing it.
He brought his wine glass to her lips, and Victoria's face turned pale instantly, but he didn't pull back, so she reflexively drank from it.
He didn't stop, so she kept drinking.
Olivia saw a sly look in Alexander's eyes.
It seemed, as Edward had said, the two hadn't had any real intimacy since reuniting, so tonight it might happen.
Olivia turned to look at Edward, who was engrossed in karaoke, and Adrian, who was even more engrossed, staring at Victoria, almost in tears.
So, didn't sing sad songs during karaoke; it was too easy to get emotional and lose oneself."Finish up, we're heading to our room," Alexander suddenly said in a low voice.
Victoria held her wine glass, but didn't want to drink anymore.
She felt a bit dizzy.
She was drunk.
Alexander leaned close to her ear again, whispering.
He was already right next to her, hugging her, and his breath was in her ear as he spoke.
She immediately raised her glass, accidentally hitting her teeth, but didn't care about the pain and quickly drank it.
Seeing her drink, Alexander couldn't hold back anymore.
As soon as she put down the glass, he kissed her.
Instantly, the room was filled only with background music.
"Alright, let's go."
Soon, Edward's annoyed voice was heard.
So, not long after, even the background music stopped.
Only the two of them were left on the couch, the man pressing down on the woman, kissing passionately.
Alexander felt that Victoria was slowly getting used to him. He noticed that when he touched her, she didn't resist as much.
Though she tensed up at first, she quickly relaxed, seeming to accept him.
His kisses grew more intense, and his hands couldn't stay outside, but Victoria was struggling.
She could handle his gentle kisses, but as they grew more fervent, she couldn't keep up, feeling like she was being devoured.
And her body temperature was rising, his fingers leaving trails of electricity wherever they touched.
She had been electrocuted before.
Once, she didn't know what she touched, but she was wet and leaning against a wall when she got shocked.
Another time, a staff member electrocuted her for not cooperating.
Thinking of that, she suddenly started resisting fiercely again, even though her hands were quickly pinned above her head, she whimpered, tears streaming down.
"Tori, don't be afraid, it's me, it's me."
Victoria kept whimpering, shaking her head in fear.
Alexander released her hands, cupping her face, seeing her unstable emotions, he threatened, "Try moving again!"
