Chapter 32 Concert

Victoria reluctantly met his gaze.
"She knows which suite is mine, all you have to do is tell her," he said.
Victoria held her breath, not daring to breathe. The longer she looked at him, the more bitter she felt. Why did he need to make her do all these things? Couldn't he just handle it with a phone call? There were many tasks for a secretary, but there was no need to be meticulous about everything, especially his personal life. But...
"Okay," she whispered. She just wanted to give herself a reason to give up.
Alexander glanced at her hand, his voice cold and deep, "Return the ring."
"Okay," she responded. She had no choice but to agree. She thought he would leave after giving his order, but he stayed close to her, so close that she couldn't see his stern face clearly, so close she was almost intoxicated by his imposing figure.
Alexander looked at the soft skin on the girl's face, his Adam's apple inexplicably rolled, and then he stared straight at her.
"Miss Kensington."
She looked up in confusion, but upon seeing his deep eyes, she lowered her head in disappointment. Yes, he always called her Miss Kensington in public.
"If you hadn't just looked up, I would have thought you had a neck problem," Alexander's deep voice sounded above her head.
She turned her face away in embarrassment, trying to make some sound, "Aren't you going to play cards?"
"Mmm, but if the nanny asks, what will you say?" Alexander asked her again.
"I’ll say you are working overtime." She had told many lies for him over the past two years.
Alexander seemed satisfied with her answer, "Then I wish you sweet dreams, Miss Kensington."
He finally got out of the car. She tried to calm herself, but his strong masculine scent lingered in the car.
After he got out, he suddenly leaned back in, "Don't forget."
"What?" She was stunned, her mind blank.
"Return the ring." He looked at her and then at her hand.
At this point, she was almost digging the ring into her flesh. After hearing this, she finally remembered the ring in her hand and hurriedly opened her mouth, but the only sound that came out was very soft, "Oh."
Alexander left and closed the car door. The car headed towards Regal Retreat. But her mood became more and more complicated.
She slowly loosened her clenched hand and saw the imprint of the ring. It was still a diamond ring. What was Adrian up to? He said it was enough to go along with him and be his loyal fan, but then...
"Miss Kensington, we're here." After an unknown period, they arrived at the bottom of the Regal Retreat building.
She quickly glanced outside, thanked the driver, and got out of the car. But should she really go report his whereabouts to Isabella? Victoria felt annoyed and walked in with her head held high.
"Miss Kensington."
Suddenly a voice stopped her, and she looked up.
A woman in a white nightgown came out; her long hair cascaded over her shoulders, giving a beautiful and generous impression.
The building manager belatedly greeted them, "Good evening, Miss Kensington. Good evening, Miss Montgomery."
Isabella glanced at the two people inside, didn't say anything, and just grabbed Victoria's hand, "Where's Alex?"
"Alex? Oh, Mr. Harrington was called away by Mr. Beaumont and the others."
"Benjamin? These people... Are they really not letting him rest so late?"
Isabella seemed unhappy.
Soon the two of them got into the elevator, Isabella still holding her hand, "I told you, you don't need to be formal with me. Your parents had the accident while coming to attend Old Lady Harrington's birthday banquet; the Harrington family has a responsibility to you, and so do I."
