Chapter 84 Oh, It Belongs to Mrs. Harrington
Edward was speechless.
Alexander couldn't help but ask as he touched Victoria's bag, "What brand is this?"
Edward leaned in to take a look but couldn't figure it out. He then pulled out his phone, opened Amazon, and said, "It's easy to find out if you want to know."
After a quick scan, they found out it was a niche brand, not worth much for them.
Upon seeing the price displayed on Edward's phone, Alexander wanted to throw it away. However, considering the items inside belonged to her, he restrained himself and placed it on his own lap.
After lunch, the two men entered a high-end store. Edward couldn't help but whisper, "Two men browsing through women's handbags, quite strange, isn't it?"
"What's so strange about it?" Alexander turned to him curiously and asked.
"If you're buying it for her, at least bring her along so she can choose..."
"Show me your most expensive one," Alexander cut him off, quickly calling on a saleslady to assist him.
The saleslady was taken aback. Luxury items in branded stores weren't for everyone.
Alexander frowned upon hearing the price she mentioned, but five minutes later, the store manager suddenly came out and placed a bag worth more than a hundred thousand in front of him.
"I'll take this one," Alexander said after a glance.
"Do you want it wrapped up?" The store manager personally attended to him and inquired.
"No need," Alexander replied. He then placed Victoria's bag on the counter and took out its contents.
To their surprise, there was just a lipstick, a cushion, a pack of wet wipes, a pack of dry tissues, and...nothing else.
"Do you know the price of this lipstick?" Alexander immediately asked the staff upon realizing his wife was using such a cheap lipstick, considering the inexpensive bag she used.
Though the manager was a man, he was accustomed to luxury purchases and quickly quoted the price. The lipstick was cheap as well.
Alexander furrowed his brows once again.
He stuffed the items back into the bag and took it away, then had her cheap bag thrown into the trash.
After they left, he glanced at the bag in his hand. "From now on, I’ll tell her to stick to high-end items. The texture isn’t that good though."
Edward chuckled a bit, unable to hold back, "Hey, has love clouded your judgment? Is she sleeping with you or having your child? You guys still have issues, yet you're spending over a hundred thousand and still complaining about the texture?"
Alexander ignored him and walked on.
In any case, Alexander's woman deserved the best.
With the wealth of the Harrington Family, news of Mrs. Harrington using such cheap goods would cause a scandal if it got out.
Oh right, she wasn’t publicly Mrs. Harrington yet.
Alexander felt a wave of annoyance wash over him.
"You've never been this generous with Isabella," Edward remarked.
"Is that so?"
"On her birthday a few days ago, you only got her a bag worth tens of thousands, and she probably asked for it."
"Didn't someone gift her an expensive bag?" Alexander said as he walked out.
Suddenly remembering that incident, Edward was taken aback and hurried to catch up to him, "Are you hiding something from me? Is there a reason why that guy has not come back for days?"
"You can ask him directly."
Alexander strode away.
Back at the office building, he placed the bag directly on Victoria's desk.
Victoria looked up to see his solemn expression and stood up, "Mr. Harrington, is there something you need?"
Jasmine curiously eyed the bag Alexander held, thinking it was meant for Isabella.
"You left your bag in the restaurant," Alexander said flatly as he was about to leave.
Victoria lowered her gaze but spoke honestly, "This isn't my bag."
As Alexander was walking out, he suddenly turned back to look at her, coldly reminding her, "Oh, it's Mrs. Harrington's. Please pass it on to her."
