Chapter 498 Have You Finished Checking? Is It Clean?

"Okay," Alexander helped with the payment and then looked at her.

"Sir, don't bully such a beautiful young lady. If you're already trying on wedding dresses, just get married and have a kid. Kids are so much fun. "The driver said. He was a warm-hearted person and consoled her all the way back.

After the driver left, Victoria couldn't help but look at the back of his car. Ever since her parents passed away, no one had talked to her like that.

There was no deliberate pampering, no cautious words. It was just someone who had been through it all, telling her the most sincere words.

She quickly lowered her eyes again, holding back her tears before they could fall. She couldn't afford to dirty the wedding dress.

"I'm here to return the wedding dress," she composed herself and explained softly to him.

"Let's talk inside," Alexander looked at her and said.

"Okay," Victoria agreed, worried that the raindrops would make the dress even dirtier.

She really couldn't afford it. The wedding dress she was wearing cost over a million dollars.

Just as she took a step, someone beside her lifted the hem of her dress.

She instinctively turned to look and heard his deep voice, "Just keep walking."

Victoria didn't speak or look at him. She turned to walk inside.

As soon as she went in, a girl in the distance took a photo.

Alexander followed her, his gorgeous, long fingers lifting the long garment like a knight behind a princess, gently yet steadily.

James quickly came down with some people and apologized, "I'm sorry. Today, my friend Mr. Reed called and said he hoped Ms. Montgomery could try on the dress. He had done me a favor before, so I thought I could let her try it on at a different time and then leave. It's all my fault."

"It has nothing to do with Mr. Patel." Victoria saw James's nervous and apologetic look and explained softly.

"I'm not someone who explains much. As long as you understand, that's fine. The bust of this wedding dress is a bit big. I can help adjust it right away." James now just wanted the wedding dress to be perfect on Victoria.

"No need." Victoria smiled calmly.

James looked at her in confusion.

"I think it will have its true owner. I want to change back into my clothes. My bag and phone are still upstairs," Victoria softly stated her request.

James immediately looked at Alexander.

Alexander kept looking at Victoria's side face. "Take her to change."

"Okay, Mrs. Harrington, please follow me," James obeyed.

"Thank you." After Victoria nodded graciously, two girls lifted her dress hem and escorted her inside.

James immediately walked to Alexander. "What's going on? Is she still angry?"

"Aren't you going to adjust the bust?" Alexander asked.

"She just needs a bigger bust pad," James replied.

Alexander frowned unhappily.

James chuckled. "Won't it affect your wedding?"

Alexander looked at the stairs and said a few words calmly, "Unless there's a tsunami or an earthquake."

Hearing this, James felt relieved, but he still felt guilty.

This was supposed to be a beautiful afternoon.

"Mr. Patel." A girl walked out from inside, holding the photo she had just taken.

James handed over Alexander. "Here, don't say I'm heartless."

Alexander walked out and saw the photo. It was black and white, but still...

Victoria came down from upstairs, wearing her clothes and looking much smaller.

James saw her coming down. "I hope I can still help."

"Mr. Patel doesn't know the lady Mr. Harrington originally married, who was also Isabella. Thank you, goodbye." Victoria, carrying her bag, greeted modestly and was about to leave.

Seeing her detach herself from Alexander, James awkwardly looked at Alexander.

"We'll take our leave," Alexander said and then turned around.

When Victoria reached the door, Alexander had already caught up.

Victoria heard footsteps and felt her wrist being touched. She immediately stepped back and raised her hand.

He didn't catch her wrist.

Victoria's misty yet cold eyes met his. "Mr. Harrington, please behave."

"If you get in yourself." He opened the passenger door.

Victoria glanced at the seat inside and smiled faintly. "No need."

"Victoria, I can refrain from touching you for now, but you have to cooperate with me," Alexander said.

"Why don't you wipe the lipstick off your face before threatening me?" Victoria looked at his face and then turned to leave.

She didn't like to raise her voice, but like everyone else, she could get angry, disappointed, and feel humiliated.

Large raindrops fell on her shoulders, but it was her clothes, her bag, so she didn't worry about getting wet.

As the convertible top slowly closed, Alexander wiped his face and walked towards Victoria.

In just a few seconds, Alexander's slender body lifted Victoria off the ground.

At the studio entrance, several girls were quietly watching.

James's assistant couldn't help but ask softly, "With such an overwhelming masculine charm, it seems Mrs. Harrington has to surrender."

No girl could resist being easily lifted by a man, especially so handsome and wealthy.

Moreover, the man exuded a stoic air, indicating he was very self-disciplined. A self-disciplined man chasing a girl would be very effective, especially since the girl had liked him for a long time.

As the sky gradually darkened, Alexander lifted Victoria and placed her directly in the passenger seat, closing the door.

When he walked around to the front and closed the convertible top, the car was already locked.

Victoria turned to see him sitting inside, his cold face seemingly saying he wouldn't speak.

She didn't try to get out of the car again because it suddenly started pouring outside.

The car quickly left, heading towards Regal Retreat.

No one spoke along the way until the car stopped in the parking lot of Regal Retreat.

Alexander unbuckled his seatbelt and turned to look at Victoria, who hadn't spoken beside him. His deep voice said, "Why don't you check if I've wiped my face clean?"

Victoria turned to look at him.

"If you check and it's clean, I'll speak." Victoria immediately tried to open the car door, but it was locked from his side.

She had to turn back. "Open the door."

"You haven't checked yet. Is it too far to see clearly? How about now?" He suddenly leaned in, his face almost touching hers.

Victoria instantly moved back, angrily looking at him. "You..."

He was definitely doing it on purpose.

He just liked to bully her.

"Have you checked? Is it clean?" He asked seriously, in a very earnest manner.

He had wiped his face several times on the way.

Damn it, he had wiped it when he first went after her, but apparently, it wasn't clean.

After a while, not hearing her response, he asked again, "Is it clean?"
