Chapter 664 Stopped Behind Her Car, Blocking Her in

The rain had been coming down all day, like the sky was having a good cry.

By evening, Isabella had her car parked in a shady spot across from Serenade Villa, keeping an eye on two cars rolling in from a distance.

She knew exactly who owned those rides; what she couldn't wrap her head around was why her childhood buddies were all falling for Victoria's act.

That sweet, innocent Victoria was probably just playing the damsel in distress to get everyone on her side.

Her friends were way too soft-hearted.

Benjamin and Edward hopped out of their cars, exchanged a quick look, and then checked the surroundings. Without a word, they followed Tessa and Olivia inside.

As everyone chilled on the couch, Benjamin shot a text to Alexander.

Benjamin: [Pretty sure Isabella's car is lurking near your place.]

Alexander glanced at his phone, then looked up at Benjamin, who just calmly put his phone down and kept serving water and snacks to Victoria.

Seeing Alexander's cool demeanor, Benjamin figured he was already on top of things, so he let it go.

During dinner, Olivia piped up, "How about we all spend Christmas together?"

She was seriously fed up with Edward's constant nagging and needed a break.

"Nope, we're doing our own thing this year," Alexander shot back in a low voice.

"That's so lame. You two are like an old married couple already," Tessa teased.

Alexander immediately grabbed Victoria's hand and said calmly, "We just got hitched not too long ago."

But anyone could see from his eyes that he was head over heels for her.

Victoria quickly pulled her hand away and pretended to sip her water.

Alexander just watched her, convinced she was being shy. And honestly, she looked even more stunning when she was shy. He couldn't take his eyes off her since the moment they met.

Olivia couldn't stand their lovey-dovey act and dragged Victoria to the bathroom after dinner. Once the door was shut, she turned and asked, "Spill it, are you guys planning to spend Christmas out of Ankenra City?"

Victoria grinned, "You got it."

"Well, your hubby's heart isn't in Ankenra City anymore," Olivia said.

"You can tell?" Victoria asked, confused.

"His eyes are practically screaming 'get me outta here,' can't you see?" Olivia pointed to her own eyes.

Victoria couldn't help but laugh and explained, "Actually, I've been having nightmares lately, so he wants to take me away to chill, and it just happens to be Christmas."

"Why the nightmares? Because of that chick outside?"

"Outside?" Victoria was caught off guard.

"Isabella's car is parked outside your house, didn't you know?" Olivia said.

"Now I do." Victoria calmed down quickly.

Isabella had been lurking around their house all day? Arthur took her home, and she still found time to spy on them? She was seriously messed up.

Victoria felt the pressure but couldn't do much about it.

However, she couldn't help but text Frank shortly after. Victoria: [Frank, I need a favor.]

She couldn't just let Isabella keep snooping around her house.

If she put up with Isabella before, it was only because she wasn't sure if Alexander was into her. But now, she was sure—sure enough to finally put Isabella in her place.

Not long after, three black BMWs rolled up to the Serenade Villa mansion one after another.

Big ol' raindrops kept smacking against the car windows. There weren't a ton of them, but man, they were heavy.

Isabella noticed three cars boxing her in from the front and felt her chest tighten up.

Then, bam, all three cars flipped on their headlights, blinding her. She quickly shielded her eyes with one hand and gripped the steering wheel with the other, then slowly peeked through her fingers.

It looked like all three car doors opened at the same time. Who the heck were these people?

An invisible pressure made her not wanna mess around, but this was Alexander's place.

She quickly reached for her phone to call Alexander. She'd changed her number so many times, and he never picked up her calls.

Tonight was no different.

Alexander, Edward, and Benjamin were deep in conversation when they heard a phone ring. The three guys instinctively looked that way, and even Victoria in the distance couldn't help but glance over.

The ringtone stopped after a while, but another call came in right away, only to get blocked immediately.

Then, Edward and Benjamin's phones started ringing one after another.

The three guys were getting annoyed. What was Isabella up to now?

Outside, Isabella realized no one was picking up. They probably thought she was just causing trouble, so she quickly sent a message: [Help me, I'm outside Alexander's house, surrounded by some people.]

After firing off the texts, she looked around.

The headlights were so bright that when eight big, burly dudes got out of the cars, an immediate sense of dread hit her.

She gripped the steering wheel tightly, not knowing what they wanted.

Until she saw someone walking towards her with a cigarette.

That creepy vibe made Isabella start the car and quickly reverse.

Those three guys inside the house didn't help her; they were definitely being threatened by Victoria. She had to bail and come back another day to get her revenge.

But as soon as she backed up, the men quickly got back into their cars. She had a bad feeling these people were after her.

A name immediately popped into her mind—Arthur.

He must be trying to get rid of her.

Isabella quickly reversed and called Arthur, "Arthur, don't you get it? You're just a bastard! Just 'cause I hurt you a bit, you send a bunch of guys to gang up on me?"

"I don't get it, but are you saying you were the one who had someone hurt me that day?" Arthur said.

"Yeah, even I, a woman, have the guts to admit it, but you, a 6-foot man, can't own up to your dirty deeds?"

Arthur cut off the recording, suddenly laughed, and then hung up without saying anything.

No matter who was behind Isabella's danger, it made him happy.

Isabella couldn't keep up her tough act. She glanced at the rearview mirror; the three cars were tailing her too closely.

They were all BMWs, so they couldn't be thugs or even robbers, as those cars cost a fortune, way more than what regular folks could afford.

So they must be people Arthur had hired.

Thinking this, Isabella's hand gripped the steering wheel tightly, veins popping, and she spat out words filled with hatred through gritted teeth, "Arthur, it's you and me against each other."

The car finally stopped at the edge of the city, out of gas.

In the rearview mirror, the three cars lined up behind her, blocking her in.
