Chapter 579 The Whole Family Sides with Your Wife and Ask for a Divorce

Her husband?

Victoria slowly lowered her gaze, whispering, "I fainted at that time."

The warm and quiet ward seemed to be covered with a thin layer of ice, ready to crack at any moment.

Alexander's heart was in turmoil.

Her words were undoubtedly a denial, ignoring everything he had done for her.

But soon, he got up and walked to the window.

Alexander knew that he couldn't be angry with her now; he needed to let her rest and recover.

That night, they squeezed into one bed, sleeping back to back.

Early the next morning, before they got up, there was a noise outside.

Victoria opened her eyes first and slowly got up when she heard the knock on the door. She said, "Come in."

Her voice was gentle but loud enough for the person behind her to hear.

"Victoria? You're awake." Eloise poked her head in. Seeing Victoria sitting up, she smiled and greeted her with relief.

"Grandma, why are you here so early?" Victoria asked softly, moved.

"And me too." Arabella walked in and smiled.

"Good morning, Mom."

Seeing Arabella following Eloise, Victoria felt even better.

These were the only people Victoria cared about in this world.

Although they were not related by blood, they had been thinking about her all these years.

Arabella explained, "We couldn't sleep well these past few days since your accident. Although Alexander didn't want us to disturb you, we couldn't help it this morning."

It was just after dawn.

Eloise glanced at Victoria's back, unable to contain her anger. "Why is he still sleeping? Alexander, get up."

Alexander sat up reluctantly, telling them to come later, but they couldn't wait.

But it was so early, and he had only slept for a short while.

"Why are you sleeping in the patient's bed? What if you touch Victoria's wound?"

Arabella also scolded him.

Alexander irritably scratched his head. He wanted to touch her, but they slept back to back, not touching each other.

Usually, she would snuggle up to him when she fell asleep, but last night, Victoria didn't change her position all night.

"How inconsiderate. The hospital bed is for the patient. How can Victoria sleep comfortably with you there?" Eloise said, sitting next to Victoria and holding her hand, "Did you sleep well last night?"

"Well, sort of." Victoria suddenly didn't know how to answer.

Hearing her uncertain response, Eloise suddenly patted her hand and said, "I remember when I was sick, I liked having your grandpa sleep next to me. Are you the same, feeling uneasy if your husband isn't by your side?"

"What?" Victoria was stunned.

But seeing Eloise's excited look, as if she had found a kindred spirit, Victoria couldn't immediately deny it.

Alexander, hearing Eloise's words, couldn't help but perk up his ears.

He thought, 'Would she really feel that way? Would she feel uneasy if I weren't there?'

"Mom, stop teasing her." Seeing Victoria's embarrassment, Arabella smiled and changed the subject.

Eloise said, "I'm not teasing. I'm telling the truth. But Victoria, does your head still hurt?"

Finally changing the subject, Victoria responded gently, "I had a painkiller shot, so it doesn't hurt."

"Glad to hear that. You really scared me this time. That damn Dorian, he must stay in prison for life." Eloise was still trembling with anger at the thought.

How could this jerk even target her granddaughter-in-law?

Victoria was the future mistress of the Harrington family. No one would dare to mess with her.

But that pervert had someone impersonate reporters to trick her.

Victoria didn't say anything more.

But she knew that the wicked would surely be punished.

Eloise patted her shoulder and said, "Take good care of yourself. When you're better, we'll have a wedding and celebrate."

"What?" Hearing Eloise's serious words, Victoria's mind buzzed. She thought, 'A wedding?'

"Your grandma and I checked the dates yesterday. October is the perfect time for your wedding." Arabella was even more serious.

Victoria was completely unable to think.

She couldn't tell if it was because of the phone hitting her or the matter itself.

She said, "But Mom, in my current state, I can't have a wedding."

Arabella replied, "I've talked to the dean. He said if it weren't for the head injury, you wouldn't have needed to be in the ICU. So it's not serious. It's the beginning of the month now, and having the wedding at the end of the month is no problem."

"Really?" Victoria started to feel guilty. She didn't want a wedding.

But Eloise and Arabella were so eager and excited that Victoria couldn't directly refuse them.

It was best to discuss it with Alexander. But he suddenly got out of bed.

"Where are you going?" Arabella immediately asked.

"Bathroom." He walked straight to the bathroom without looking back.

Victoria thought he was leaving. The important matter hadn't been discussed yet.

"But in the future, you shouldn't go out alone." Arabella said to Victoria after Alexander went to the bathroom.

"Okay." Victoria nodded.

That day was an accident.

Of course, it was an accident for her, but it was definitely premeditated by someone else.

Victoria was sure that Dorian's actions were not spur-of-the-moment.

Later, Alexander went out to see Arabella and Eloise off. In the elevator, Arabella, looking unhappy, mentioned, "When Victoria was in the ICU, we ran into Isabella at the hospital."

Alexander asked indifferently, "What do you mean?"

"Does this really have nothing to do with her?" Arabella asked seriously.

Alexander's expression turned serious, but he didn't respond immediately.

Eloise sighed, "She is truly vicious. Whether her father acted alone or she was involved, you can't have any more contact with her. Even if you meet at a party, I hope you can tell her to get lost."

"Alexander, if you still have feelings for her, the whole Harrington family will side with Victoria and ask for a divorce." Arabella added.

"I'm a Harrington," Alexander reminded them, feeling guilty.

"But if you keep hurting Victoria, none of us can help you," Arabella reminded him.

Alexander fell silent again.

Eloise muttered, "How can we face your deceased in-laws?"

After seeing them off, Alexander returned to the hospital, and Benjamin's words suddenly came to mind: that blue car was registered under Isabella's name.

Victoria had gone to the bathroom, and when she came out, Alexander had just returned.

Seeing her, Alexander frowned and quickly stepped forward, grabbing her arm, "Where did you go?"
