Chapter 107 The Password is the Wedding Anniversary

Victoria hesitated even more upon hearing this.
Alexander had to walk back and smiled, "There's no one else here."
‘What did he mean by that?’ Victoria thought to herself.
Her expression seemed somewhat unnatural.
Alexander didn't say anything more and simply lifted her up.
Nervously, Victoria clung to his neck. The sudden sensation of being suspended in the air was too frightening.
Being carried like this was even scarier. Just one look at him made her lower her head involuntarily. "I'm not going."
Stubborn as ever, even in such a situation.
"Oh." Alexander acknowledged but still carried her out of the elevator.
"The password is our wedding anniversary," he paused when they reached the door of the suite.
Victoria looked at him puzzled. "Hurry up, do you want others to see us?" Alexander reminded her.
Victoria immediately reached out to enter the password.
Their wedding anniversary?
Did they still have an anniversary?
But she remembered the day they registered.
After inputting the numbers, the door indeed opened, and her heart suddenly clenched, making it hard to breathe.
Why was this his password?
Victoria was utterly confused; she even forgot to ask him the reason.
Alexander carried her inside and gently placed her on the sofa in the living room.
She raised her eyes slightly, taking in the spacious and elegant layout inside.
It was completely different from the Regal Retreat. She even noticed a large bunch of white roses on the table, looking fresh as if recently picked.
Alexander hadn't expected to see a bouquet of roses on the table, but he noticed her gaze was drawn to it.
Did she like them?
Quickly regaining her senses, Victoria felt embarrassed and lowered her head. It was almost midnight, and they were in a hotel suite.
Victoria's heart started to race again.
Alexander stood beside her and asked, "Would you like a drink?"
Victoria glanced at the bottle of red wine he had taken from the ice bucket nearby and shook her head immediately. "No, thank you."
Alexander looked down at her.
She was cautious but polite.
He then poured wine into both glasses before sitting next to her with the drinks. "You can drink with the PR department people, so why not with me?" He placed a glass in front of her.
However, he should have known that the PR department had always respected her due to her secretary status, even when drinking together, there wouldn't be any inappropriate behavior.
But him...
Well, he was known to be overly affectionate with her.
Victoria felt extremely anxious. She held the glass and subconsciously glanced around.
The suite was a two-story condo, with what looked like a bedroom upstairs.
Her breathing unconsciously slowed, and she turned to him, "When are we going home?"
"Hmm?"
"If we don't go back, the nanny will call Grandma."
Her cautious and guarded demeanor made him feel a bit heavy-hearted.
After a moment of thought, he chuckled, "So, why were you still at the club at this hour?"
Victoria immediately lowered her gaze. "It was a colleague gathering."
"Are you close with your PR department colleagues?"
"Yes," she replied.
In reality, she came because Jasmine liked a male colleague from the PR department and wanted to attend but was too scared to go alone, so she called Victoria.
Victoria, not wanting to go home just yet, agreed to accompany her.
She never expected to run into Ethan here. Wasn't he supposed to be at the Regal Retreat with Isabella?
"Or should I just ask you directly; are you actually avoiding me?" Alexander inquired seriously.
Victoria's heart skipped a beat upon hearing this.
