Chapter 615 I Hate You

"Just keep owing me," Victoria whispered softly.

"Make it up to me in another way, right?" Alexander couldn't help himself and held her hand.

---

The next day, Victoria was still lying in bed, struggling to get up. She managed to make slight movements with her fingers.. Fortunately, she could move.

Last night, Alexander couldn't bear to really go at it for three hours.

The foreplay was extensive, but the actual act was brief.

However, it was because that he repeatedly confirmed her endurance before actually entering her body, letting her choose. Therefore, it definitely didn't mean that he couldn't perform.

Feeling a strong hunger pang, Victoria rolled over towards the edge of the bed. With a lazy stretch of her arm, she opened the drawer of the bedside table and retrieved a chocolate bar. She swiftly unwrapped it and eagerly stuffed it into her mouth to satisfy her cravings.

It was so sweet that she couldn't eat it immediately, just savoring the taste in her mouth.

Victoria lay back on the bed, her eyes listless, staring blankly at the ceiling light.

She was always cautious, but now her mind was empty, not even noticing if someone approached.

After a few seconds, Alexander chuckled.

Her eyes shifted, seeing Alexander standing in front of her.

He was dressed in a comfortable blue shirt and black dress pants as he took a seat by the bed. "Morning," he said.

Victoria's eyelashes fluttered, then she replied, "Morning."

It felt like a dream.

Or maybe she really was dreaming.

How could they simply greet each other good morning like a sweet married couple?

Perhaps they didn't even have much affection for each other.

Victoria suddenly couldn't look at Alexander anymore. She naturally turned over, her back to him, and asked, "What time is it?"

Alexander replied, "Half past seven. My grandma said you could sleep in."

"Got it," she agreed.

Alexander keenly sensed Victoria's avoidance as she turned over, and her muffled response only served to confirm his suspicion.

"Did I not do well last night?"

He was rarely insecure, but recently...

His voice was so soft that it even sounded a bit nervous.

"No." Victoria shook her head.

She was just scared.

Everything happened too fast, so fast that she felt it could be taken away at any moment.

Victoria's eyes started to well up again. She was disappointed in herself for having such distressing emotions. Until she remembered what she thought when she saw him at the door yesterday, she slowly turned to look at him with disappointment and asked, "Can you do me a favor?"

"What favor?"

"I need some money."

"Sure." Alexander looked at her for a few seconds, smiling as he agreed.

"I might not be able to pay you back. Think it over before..."

Before Victoria could finish, her lips were suddenly sealed by his.

Alexander's lips pressed against hers until she calmed down. He then slowly let go and stroked her long hair, saying, "I don't need you to pay me back."

Victoria looked at him for a long time, then couldn't help but whisper, "How about you do it again?"

Alexander chuckled, let go of her, and quickly stood up, walking out.

Victoria watched his back as he walked away. For some reason, she felt he seemed a bit unhappy.

She thought, 'Is he unable to do it? It must be because he overdid it on the wedding night. It's said that men become weak after indulgence.'

But putting aside the matter of sex, Victoria fell into deep confusion.

That day, Alexander opened a new account for her, and the first deposit was a nine-figure sum.

Victoria and Olivia were sitting in a café. After a long time, Olivia nodded seriously and said, "Everyone knows Mr. Harrington is very generous."

Victoria held the bank card, "I have to go on a business trip for a few days."

"You're going personally?" Olivia asked her.

"Yes, I need to oversee every detail."

"You just got married a few days ago. Are you sure your husband will let you go?" Olivia reminded her.

"I have to be responsible for his money," Victoria said seriously, holding the bank card.

She had thought it through. She couldn't let Alexander's money go to waste.

He transferred it to her so easily, without even asking what she needed it for. So she should she repay him by using the money to make more money.

"If Mr. Harrington knew your thoughts, he would regret ever giving you the money. These men believe that making money is solely a man's responsibility," Olivia remarked as she took a sip of her cappuccino, barely tasting it.

Victoria looked at her cup, noticing the coffee level hadn't decreased, and asked, "Is it true that pregnant women can't drink coffee?"

"Everything in moderation, but you can have a little taste," Olivia said.

Victoria nodded thoughtfully.

Seeing her earnest look, Olivia couldn't help but lean in curiously and ask, "Did he finish inside?"

"What do you mean?" Victoria looked at her with puzzled eyes.

"Just..." Olivia leaned in closer, and they whispered to each other.

Victoria's face gradually turned red. When Olivia got close enough to see clearly, she immediately lowered her gaze.

"If that's the case, you should start quitting alcohol and coffee now," Olivia reminded her.

"I haven't had alcohol in a long time," Victoria said.

"Then maybe we can become in-laws?" Olivia immediately got excited.

Victoria just laughed dryly. That was too far-fetched.

Besides, she didn't plan to interfere with her children's affairs.

Children? Wasn't she planning not to have kids with Alexander?

After all, she had no confidence in their future. No, she didn't even think they had a future.

She always felt they would part ways soon.

He might be enjoying it now, but he would soon get tired of it.

As they were about to leave, a Maserati suddenly stopped at the café entrance.

They looked over curiously and saw a familiar figure step out of the car.

The café staff stood at the door and opened it, "Welcome. How many in your party, ma'am?"

"Two."

Isabella walked in and immediately saw Victoria and Olivia. She quickly made a phone call, "Come later, I ran into an old friend."

Olivia and Victoria heard her say "old friend" and couldn't agree, but they didn't say anything.

Isabella hung up the phone and walked over to their table, "What a coincidence."

"Rather than a coincidence, it's more like bad luck," Olivia reminded.

Isabella laughed, "I didn't expect Ms. Baker to be so heartless, but since Eddie likes you, given my relationship with Eddie, I won't hold it against you."

"Eddie?" Olivia frowned.

"Yes, we've always called each other that. Victoria should know, right?"

"Are you mistaken? I've never heard of that," Victoria calmly reminded her.

Isabella's face immediately turned cold, and her eyes were filled with malice as she looked at Victoria.

Victoria just looked at her innocently, then turned to Olivia, asking, "Shall we go?"

"Sure."

"Victoria, I know you're feeling smug right now, but I promise, you won't be for long," Isabella said.

"Mrs. Harrington, Mrs. Eloise Harrington, your beauty appointment is coming up." Frank stood at the door and spoke timely.

Victoria looked at Isabella, thinking of saying something, like reminding her to deal with the Montgomery family's affairs first. However, seeing Isabella's eyes, she felt it would be pointless. So she just left with Olivia.

Victoria had been taught by her parents since childhood not to waste time and energy on meaningless things.

They had told her, "Life is short, so make yourself happy and spend time with people who make you happy."

Isabella watched her departing figure and shouted, "Victoria, Victoria, don't think your silence hides your true intentions from me. I hate you. You ruined my life, and I won't let you have it easy."
