Chapter 452 Allergic Reaction

By the time Alexander rushed over, Victoria had already taken care of everything. She apologized repeatedly to the staff and thanked them.

When Alexander walked over, she saw him and smiled at the staff. "You can see, I am not lying. He needs immediate medical attention."

Before long, they were on their way to the hospital.

Victoria was actually a pretty good driver.

Alexander asked her, "Do you have a favorite car?"

"I don't really have any favorites," Victoria shook her head, focusing on driving seriously.

Actually, her palms were sweaty. She hadn't driven much in this city, and she felt a bit psychologically scarred.

And she probably had some psychological trauma.

But right now, Alexander seemed to be having some allergic reaction to chili peppers. He didn't look quite right, and she was a bit worried.

It could be more than a bit.

She didn't want to dwell on that. She just focused on driving steadily to the hospital.

Alexander was almost unable to speak. He felt dizzy and short of breath. Glancing at her gentle profile, he couldn't help but forget his discomfort and stare at Victoria.

Victoria had the top down. The wind was strong, blowing away some of the heat from his skin. When they arrived at the hospital, she immediately unbuckled her seatbelt and opened the car door for him.

Alexander sat there weakly, looking at her. "Don't be scared."

"Get out of the car," Victoria said.

Victoria thought. 'How could he be comforting her at a time like this?'

Alexander stepped out, feeling a bit dizzy.

When medical staff were already approaching with a stretcher, Alexander only said to Victoria, "I might need you to help me."

Victoria immediately bent down and tightly held his arm.

It was so soft, though small.

Alexander felt like he was going crazy. At a time like this...

Victoria was very serious, only worried that he might pass out.

Later, lying on the bed being pushed forward, Alexander was dizzy, but he still couldn't help looking at her.

Victoria was following closely, running hard.

Alexander thought she was playing it cool, pretending not to care. But deep down, she cared a lot.

The afternoon meeting had to be canceled.

Victoria sat by his bed, replying to work emails on her phone, occasionally glancing at Alexander.

After the injection, his face was no longer as red, and his breathing seemed much better.

Victoria couldn't help but think, 'He looks so tall and strong, yet a little chili pepper can make him allergic.'

It showed that even the strongest people have weaknesses, so she shouldn't be afraid of them.

She checked her phone again, then couldn't help but look at him seriously.

Later, Victoria felt something touching her hand on the bed. She thought it was a bug and quickly pulled her hand away, only to see it was his hand.

"Alexander? Are you awake?" Victoria felt a warmth in her heart and immediately leaned forward, softly asking.

"Don't want to wake up." Alexander had his eyes closed but was already smiling.

Had she been by his side the whole time?

"You had a fever, you know?" Victoria said.

"I don't need to know," Alexander replied.

Victoria was taken aback. "Why?"

Her legs were a bit tired, so she sat on the edge of his bed, waiting seriously for an answer.

"Because you're here," Alexander answered.

Victoria felt like something had hit her heart.

After a while, Victoria quickly said, "Don't think I care about you. I don't. I'm just here because I'm your secretary and have to be."

Alexander didn't rush to respond; he simply opened his eyes.

Victoria met his gaze and immediately lowered her eyes. His eyes had a way of drawing people in.
