Chapter 626 Treating Infertility at Such an Old Age

"What are you doing again? Spending seventy thousand dollars just like that?" Naomi asked, feeling uneasy.

"Don't worry about it; you can't do anything anyway," Isabella said irritably, then clutched her chest and slowly lay down.

"Don't worry? It's seventy thousand dollars! Do you know..."

"Even if I don't use it, someone else will. So, why shouldn't I use it?" Isabella interrupted her.

Naomi was left speechless, nodding involuntarily. Witha bitter smile, she barely managed to speak, "You're right. Better us than someone else."

"From now on, don't worry about my business, and you don't need to come see me," Isabella suddenly said.

Perplexed by Isabella's coldness, Naomi gazed at her with confusion. "Why? Do you want to break up with me?"

"Break up? No way. But considering you let your best friend steal your husband and have a child for over twenty years without noticing, do you think you're fit to manage my affairs?" Isabella questioned her.

"So in your mind, your mother is just a useless woman, right?" Naomi was heartbroken.

"Yes."

Isabella attributed the blame to Naomi for placing trust in an untrustworthy friend. If it hadn't been for that, there would be no competition for the heir position of the Montgomery Group now.

She would deal with Arthur and Victoria together.

——

At night, Victoria lay on the bed in a lace mini dress, watching Alexander come out of the shower in pajamas, wondering why he was wearing so much today.

Alexander squinted his eyes at her in surprise, "I didn't expect you to be wearing such sexy clothes under your robe."

"Come up, don't catch a cold."

"Okay." Alexander accepted the invitation and immediately got into bed.

Two seconds after getting into bed, he threw his pants out and immediately snuggled up to her, "Why are you so proactive tonight?"

"Wait a minute." Victoria quickly covered his mouth as he tried to kiss her face, then turned her head, smiling ingratiatingly, and whispered, "I have something to discuss with you."

"What is it?" Alexander frowned, suddenly unhappy.

"Mr. Barnes said there's a good movie and he wants me to act in it."

"When?"

"The exact date depends on your decision," she said, batting her eyes coquettishly at him.

Alexander guessed a bit, then moved away from her and lay on his side, saying indifferently, "I refuse."

"Why did you refuse so quickly?" Victoria pouted and asked.

"Did you forget how quickly you usually refuse me?"

Victoria was left speechless, sulking silently against the headboard.

Alexander looked at her, feeling a bit soft-hearted, and pulled her into his arms, "We just got married."

"We've been married for three years."

"It only counts from recently," Alexander reminded her in a low voice.

"Even if it only counts from recently, what does my work have to do with us just getting married?" Victoria couldn't help but mutter.

"I can't bear to let you go. You just came back from a business trip and got hurt," Alexander said seriously.

As she listened, Victoria took a deep breath before finally looking up at him after a brief pause. Her voice filled with a pitiful plea as she expressed, "But if I don't seize this opportunity, it might never come again."

"With your husband here, you won't miss any opportunities," Alexander said.

"So, you're not willing to help me?"

"How about this, tell me which script you like, and I'll buy it for you first. You can read the script, but joining the crew will have to wait a bit longer."

He still negotiated in a good-natured manner.

Victoria didn't expect it to be so easy to settle. After a few seconds of hesitation, she nodded and asked, "Okay, how long is a bit longer?"

"At least half a month, but during this time, you have to stay with me." Alexander hugged her and set the condition.

"Okay." Victoria thought half a month was bearable.

But...

She glanced at the couch and asked him, "Shouldn't it take more than five boxes of condoms?"

Alexander couldn't help but laugh, especially at her pure and somewhat silly look.

In one box, there were only five condoms..

Alexander hugged her and asked seriously in a low voice, "Shouldn't this nightgown fulfill its purpose now?"

Victoria blushed and said, "Don't take too long."

"Too short you complain, too long you complain, why are you so hard to please?" Alexander murmured, then kissed her.

"I'm just hard to please."

"Really?"

"Alexander." Victoria was suddenly ticklish when he grabbed her underarm.

"Still hard to please now?"

"No, not at all. It's so ticklish, so..."

"Baby, I missed you." Just when she thought he was going to tickle her to death, Alexander suddenly pressed his forehead against hers and whispered.

Victoria had just laughed until she almost cried, but now...

"Aren't I in your arms?" she whispered, her heart pounding.

"But I still miss you, miss you so much." Alexander couldn't explain himself, even though she was in his arms, he just missed her, crazily missed her.

He kissed her again, forcefully and irresistibly, passionately and wildly.

He tried to fill the void in his heart with this wild possession, until she started crying under him, he slowed down, seemingly gentle and comforting.

That night, Victoria felt like she was melting.

It was already November, very cold, but she was sweating.

Alexander, who was holding her, seemed to be sweating too, it was hard to tell whose sweat it was, tangled together, more and more.

Until the middle of the night, Alexander carried her to the bathroom to wash again, then back to bed, holding her here and there. He was changing the sheets but didn't want to put her anywhere else.

After changing the sheets, he held her in his arms again, both in one bed. He murmured, "Thank you, good night."

She wanted to say good night, but couldn't.

She was really exhausted.

Why was he so strong?

She missed his speed of their first intimate moment.

Alexander had many nightmares, so the next day when Victoria went out, not only was Frank there, but also two very strong men.

Victoria instinctively asked, "Frank, are there two more bodyguards?"

"Yes, Mr. Harrington said just in case," Frank replied.

"Okay." Victoria was a bit puzzled, why suddenly just in case? Did something happen that she didn't know about?

They went to the hospital, Eloise was waiting for her at the entrance. Spotting her, Eloise waved and called out, "Victoria, I'm here!"

"Grandma, why are you here so early?" Victoria asked.

She was afraid Eloise would have to wait for her, so she came half an hour early on purpose, but Eloise was even earlier.

"I knew you'd come early. I couldn't bear to let you wait; let's go in," Eloise smiled and replied.

"Okay, but next time don't come so early; it's my duty to wait for you." Victoria thought it was inappropriate to let the elderly wait.

"Okay, I'll listen to you."

"Grandma, what's wrong with you this time?"

"Don't worry. I'm fine; it's for you to see the doctor," Eloise said.

Victoria was puzzled.

After Eloise, Victoria, and the bodyguards got into the elevator, they soon heard someone shout, "Wait."

"Isn't this Mrs. Eloise Harrington and your infertile granddaughter-in-law? Are you here for treatment?"

"Aren't you Mrs. Montgomery, who was a homewrecker, and whose daughter is also a homewrecker and got beaten into the hospital? You are already this old. Are you here for infertility treatment?"
