Chapter 733 Ms. Kensington, are you jealous?
"Right? Ms. Kensington?"
Alexander, with a grin, gave Daisy's knee a massage and looked over at Victoria.
Victoria had been holding back her frustration for a while but finally managed a smile. "Mr. Harrington, you're kidding, right? I actually think Ms. Bryant is great. I just don't want to intrude on you two."
She stepped forward, handed him the documents that needed his signature, and read out the prepared materials.
After that, she closed the folder and said respectfully, "So, Mr. Harrington, you have the whole day to spend with Ms. Bryant. I won't bother you."
Victoria left with a smile, but as soon as she stepped out, her face fell.
Did he really have to be so cozy with another woman right in front of her?
If he liked her that much, why even come to work?
He had so many houses, so many places to go on dates. Why did it here?
Victoria felt her eyes blur but straightened her back and walked to her desk.
The laughter inside had nothing to do with her anymore, nothing at all.
She kept telling herself that, even when Daisy's laughter echoed out later, she just treated it as background noise and ignored it.
But Janaye couldn't stay so calm. She grumbled, "Is she nuts?"
"Where are you going?"
Victoria saw her heading towards Alexander's office and quickly grabbed her.
Janaye wanted to say she was going to confront that woman, but of course, she couldn't really do that; she wouldn't dare act foolishly, especially in front of Alexander.
And she didn't have time to vent at Alexander's door; the elevator suddenly opened. She turned and saw the person she had been thinking about day and night, immediately tearing up, "Shoure."
Shoure was pleasantly surprised to see her and immediately hugged her.
Victoria silently watched from her desk as Janaye ran towards Shoure and jumped into his arms.
Just like she had once wanted to jump into Alexander's arms, who was now in love with another woman.
After a while, Victoria finally smiled, wishing them well.
She hoped Janaye would be happy because Janaye deserved it.
Someone had to be happy. Such an innocent and lovely girl, she sincerely hoped she could have a smooth and happy life.
Janaye couldn't help but cry and act spoiled in his arms, saying, "You're finally back. I was so scared being alone."
Victoria listened and lowered her head with a smile. Some people's happiness, she could envy but never had.
"Alright, I'm back now. I'll report my work, and then we'll go get the marriage certificate?"
"Okay."
When Shoure mentioned getting the marriage certificate, Janaye blushed and shyly agreed like a young girl.
Actually, if it had been a few days earlier, Janaye wouldn't have been too keen on getting the marriage certificate, but now it was different; she was pregnant, so she didn't want to wait any longer. Anyway, their homes weren't too far apart, so it was better to settle down first.
Shoure kissed her forehead, gently put her down, and said, "From now on, stop running around. It's not good for our baby."
"But I miss you so much."
Janaye deeply understood what longing meant during this period.
Shoure heard Janaye mention Victoria's return and stepped forward, saying, "Congrats on being back, Ms. Kensington."
"Daisy is inside."
Victoria smiled as a thank you and then spoke softly.
Shoure raised his hand slightly, looking relaxed, and then walked towards Alexander's office.
"Come in."
A familiar voice quickly came from inside. Shoure hesitated, then pushed the door open. Seeing the two on the sofa, he awkwardly but politely asked, "Should I come back later?"
"No, I'm leaving soon," Daisy said, reluctantly moving away from Alexander's shoulder. She sat up, glanced at Alexander, who was still engrossed in the documents, and then said, "Then I'm really leaving."
Alexander responded indifferently, "Okay," without even lifting his head.
After Daisy left, she glanced back at Alexander, who had a cold expression. Why was he taking off his coat all of a sudden?
Daisy walked over to Victoria's workstation, saying, "Ms. Kensington, thanks for the coffee. It was really good."
Victoria replied, "You're welcome."
Victoria knew exactly why Daisy had come over to thank her. With Isabella as a precedent, she felt that women's thoughts were even easier to guess. It was nothing more than the fact that she was once Alexander's wife, so they all wanted to flaunt their hot relationship with him in front of her and have her serve them.
"I think Mr. Harrington and I are about to be together, Ms. Kensington. Won't you be jealous?" Daisy leaned over her desk and whispered.
Janaye, sitting next to her, frowned, wondering what Daisy was up to.
Victoria responded in the coldest tone, "No."
"Then, you won't badmouth me in front of Mr. Harrington, right? You seem like a generous person; you wouldn't ruin someone's love, right?" Daisy pressed on.
Victoria silently looked at her, and after a few seconds, smiled and replied, "Mr. Harrington's private matters are not my concern. However, Ms. Bryant, this is my working time, so please leave."
"Get out quickly. Before Mr. Harrington acknowledges you publicly, you're nothing. Don't be so arrogant, just leave," Janaye said, slapping the table and standing up to chase Daisy away.
"You, didn't you resign?" Daisy asked, taken aback.
"I did, yeah, I resigned so I could be this rude to you. Now leave, leave," Janaye retorted, quickly regaining her composure and continuing to chase her away.
Daisy couldn't handle such a fierce girl, so she sneered, "Then I'll leave first, Ms. Kensington. Thank you for your hard work."
"Victoria, why are you being polite to someone like that? Just tell her to get lost," Janaye grumbled.
"Better not provoke her," Victoria said, always feeling that sometimes, the less one say, the better. She didn't want to say a few words and make someone angry, only to be blamed later.
Thinking about Daisy sitting on Alexander's lap just now, Victoria quickly looked at the computer screen, calm and composed.
Half an hour later, Shoure came out of Alexander's office, saying, "Honey, let's go get the marriage certificate."
Janaye was talking to Victoria about how to deal with a mistress. Although she had no practical experience, it was all from novels, but she still spoke with great enthusiasm until Shoure called her, and she stopped.
"Then, I'll tell you more another day. I'm going to get the certificate," Janaye said.
Victoria reminded her, "Okay, be careful on the way."
"Okay," Janaye agreed, being held by Shoure as they walked towards the elevator. Halfway there, Shoure suddenly turned his head, "By the way, Victoria, Mr. Harrington wants to see you."
"Okay," Victoria replied.
But why did Alexander want to see her again?
"Mr. Harrington, you wanted to see me?" Victoria stood at the door, looking at Alexander still sitting on the sofa, and asked.
Alexander didn't lift his head as he said, "Yes, find me a suit."
