Chapter 970 A Dark and Bloody Room

The phone in the ward was on silent, constantly lit up, but no one answered.

There were a few drops of fresh blood on the bed, spreading to the floor, all the way to the door.

Everything around was eerily quiet, as if no one had ever been to this dark and bloody room.

Eve was injured and had a miscarriage, falling into a deep coma.

Frank waited at the hospital until Alexander hurriedly arrived.

Meanwhile, Ankenra City also fell into a slump.

When Diana returned home from the Harrington Mansion, she heard the doorbell ring and immediately went to open the door.

The moment she saw Curtis, her eyes instantly welled up with tears.

"I saw the light on in your room. Is everything okay at home?"

Curtis noticed something was wrong from the look in her eyes.

Logically, the Harrington family was powerful and influential; there shouldn't be anything they couldn't handle.

Diana lowered her eyes and shook her head, "No."

"With Alexander around, everything will be resolved."

Seeing her tears fall, Curtis immediately stepped forward to gently comfort her by patting her shoulder.

Hearing this, Diana cried even more, "It's been a month already."

"Diana, Victoria will be fine."

"Where did Victoria go? I heard the ward was full of blood, and it was like Victoria just disappeared."

Diana said, crying.

Over the past month, Diana had grown increasingly regretful. Why didn't she come back to attend Victoria and Alexander's wedding? Why didn't she become friends with Victoria sooner?

Victoria had already suffered so much, so why did she bully Victoria?

Victoria, the person she had resented for so many years, was several years younger than her. Why had she always hated Victoria?

She was too narrow-minded, Diana thought, leaning into Curtis's embrace.

Curtis had seen her cry before, but never had he seen her so remorseful.

"Have you had dinner?" He suddenly asked.

Diana looked at him in confusion, and Curtis simply said, "How about I make you dinner?"

"Okay."

Diana felt a warmth in her heart and immediately agreed.

Curtis took her to his place, as she didn't have any ingredients to cook with at her place.

Diana wondered if Curtis still had feelings for her.

Did he want to cook for her because he saw she was upset?

Diana was feeling happy and was about to hug him from behind when she heard a noise outside.

"Is Curtis home?"

It was a girl's voice, and it sounded somewhat familiar.

Was it Leah?

Curtis knew Diana wanted to hug him, but hearing that voice made his heart skip a beat in confusion.

Late at night, it was inappropriate for a girl to come to his place for no reason.

Seeing Leah, Diana immediately left in a huff.

Curtis looked at Leah in confusion, "Do you need something?"

Leah noticed he was unhappy, and seeing Diana storm out of his house, she assumed their relationship was anything but ordinary, which made her uneasy.

Diana returned to the Harrington Mansion, turned off her phone, and stayed with Brett and Eloise, comforting them.

Within three days, Strawberry was sent back.

Seeing Strawberry, Eloise immediately burst into tears, "My baby, let me kiss you."

Eloise had heard there was a lot of blood in the ward, but Strawberry had no injuries, guessing that Victoria got hurt protecting Strawberry and was taken away.

Strawberry looked at Eloise with some fear because Eloise was crying, but everyone told her to go to Eloise, so she moved over.

Eloise hugged Strawberry and cried.

Did Victoria save another member of their family?

Eloise felt so distressed that she soon had trouble breathing.

Strawberry looked up at Eloise and suddenly screamed in fear.

"Grandma!"

"Mom!"

The living room quickly became chaotic, and Eloise almost fainted, being carried back to her room.

Diana held and comforted Strawberry, then asked Barbara, who had come back with Strawberry, "Is there still no news about Victoria?"

"No, it's said that all the surveillance in that area was down that night, and no one knows how she was taken."

Barbara was also quite scared; Victoria just disappeared like that.

Diana looked at Strawberry in her arms, kissed her tenderly on the face, and comforted, "Don't be afraid, I'm here, I'll protect you too."

Strawberry didn't understand Diana's words, but leaned on Diana's shoulder.

After comforting Eloise, Arabella came out, looking at Strawberry with deep sympathy, but thinking of Victoria, she couldn't help but murmur, "I hope God blesses Victoria."

Seeing Arabella, who always believed in science, suddenly praying for God's blessing, Diana felt very sad.

But now, with everyone so worried, what about Alexander?

Diana didn't know if Victoria was alive or dead, but she knew Alexander must be having a hard time.

At around eleven at night, Diana received a message from Curtis:[When are you coming back?]

Diana wanted to reply but thought better of it and put her phone down.

Curtis knew she deliberately didn't reply.

He had mixed feelings about Diana. Diana was bright and straightforward, easy to like, and he was no exception.

But the Harrington family was such a big family, and his ordinary background didn't match.

Even if the Harrington family elders reluctantly agreed, he didn't want to rely on Diana to develop his career, nor did he want to be called a kept man.

His family lived well by ordinary standards, but compared to the Harrington family, it was nothing. He didn't want to be looked down upon.

But right now, he wanted to open his heart to Diana.

It would be hard to forget someone whom one loved. Especially when he just broke up and started dating other women.

No matter how many dates he went on, he wouldn't fall in love because his heart was already deeply buried with Diana.

After the Harrington family incident, Diana was obviously very anxious.

But he just couldn't ignore it, couldn't watch her be sad.

So Diana quickly received another message: [Want to grab a drink?]

[My grandma almost fainted.]

She meant she couldn't go out.

Seeing that message, Curtis frowned even more. Eloise almost fainted, showing how serious the incident was.

[Take care of yourself. Let me know in advance next time you come back, and I'll make you dinner.]

[Curtis, you make me feel like my love is cheap. I don't want to love you anymore.]

Seeing his message, Diana couldn't hold back anymore, silently crying under her blanket, feeling cheap at the mere thought of Leah going to see him.
