Chapter 363 He said, I suspect my wife is pregnant

"Satisfied, very satisfied."

Victoria raised her head in feigned obedience.

Alexander looked down at her delicate appearance but could hardly hold back his laughter. It was clear that she was dissatisfied, yet unable to lie.

But he loved her willingness to argue with him.

There was already a twenty-centimeter difference between the two of them. Now she wasn't wearing high heels, making her significantly shorter. After less than half a minute of tilting her head back, she lost her temper.

Her neck hurt.

Victoria turned around and picked out the pieces of steamed bread from the flat pan.

In her heart, she couldn't help but think of the flat pan as a good weapon for hitting a man.

‘If Alexander were to be hit, how would he react?’

Victoria couldn't help but sneak another look at him.

Alexander didn't know what she was thinking, only feeling that she looked extremely childish.

Of course, he couldn't say that.

Otherwise, she would get angry again.

A minute later, the two sat facing each other.

A glass of milk, a piece of steamed bread for each.

Victoria took a sip of milk, quickly feeling uncomfortable in her stomach.

Alexander frowned because his wife was about to vomit again.

But the test results showed no pregnancy.

Victoria couldn't hold back and quickly got up and ran towards the bathroom.

Alexander subconsciously stared at her glass of milk, then turned to the refrigerator, opened it, and checked the milk's expiration date.

Soon, the noise from the bathroom made him anxious, so he quickly walked over. "How are you feeling?"

"Terrible," came her brief response.

"Let's go to the hospital for a check-up," Alexander suggested.

Alexander was afraid they hadn't used the pregnancy stick correctly, so it was better to go directly to the hospital and ask the doctor for help.

"To the hospital?" Victoria asked.

"Yes," Alexander replied.

"Which department should we go to?" Victoria asked.

"It should be Obstetrics and Gynecology."

Alexander was very serious.

Victoria just stared straight. At this moment, she really didn't understand.

‘What is he thinking?’ she mused.

"If we go to the gynecology department, rumors might spread in a bad way." Victoria reminded him.

"I've said that if I catch that person, I won't give him another chance to stand in front of you," Alexander said ruthlessly.

Victoria suddenly couldn't speak, thinking of what Rohans said last night about Isabella having leukemia, in the advanced stage.

Looking at the way Alexander was looking at her now, Victoria's heart sank inch by inch.

She always couldn't help but have the illusion that this man was sincere.

‘He genuinely cares about me, and I mean, really cares,’ she thought.

Victoria felt a bit depressed, hating herself for thinking about these things. She was afraid of being delusional.

So many things had happened, they were all so confusing, yet she did not understand any of it.

In the morning, they went to the gynecology department. The doctor, upon seeing someone coming in, was washing his hands. "Take off your pants and lie down inside, just one leg."

Victoria listened in a daze. She had never had this kind of examination before. Although she had heard of it, she was still nervous.

Alexander also listened with a frown, immediately reaching out to grab Victoria's hand.

Victoria looked at him, "What's wrong?"

"Just a moment, I'll make a call."

Alexander grabbed her hand and took out his phone, then pulled her outside.

Victoria was nervous, but when he pulled her out, she felt much more relaxed.

Alexander called Arabella and asked, "Don't you know the director here?"

Within a minute, the doctor came out, very friendly. "Excuse me, are you Mrs. Harrington?"

"Yes." Victoria came back to her senses.

"Sorry for the abruptness just now, I am the chief physician of the gynecology department. Are you two here preparing for pregnancy? Please come in." the doctor said.

Victoria and Alexander glanced at each other. Although she was still dissatisfied with him, they followed the doctor inside.

In a steady voice, Alexander said, "Actually, we're not preparing for pregnancy. My wife has been vomiting frequently recently. I suspect she may be pregnant, so we just want to get a check-up."
