Chapter 890 Overtly and Covertly, Driving Him Away
"Get out."
Victoria couldn't hold it in any longer and blurted out the words.
She felt that Alexander was getting a bit too full of himself.
Alexander had already said those things, signed an agreement to not contact each other, and mentioned that she could only see Strawberry once every two months. And now he wanted to sleep with her again?
'What a joke!'
Victoria thought to herself with satisfaction as she told him to leave.
Alexander's expression soured even more after hearing this. But just a few seconds later, when she thought he would turn into a beast and tear her apart, he lay down on the bed completely. "If you don't want to, then forget it. No need to get so angry."
He lay on her bed, looking at the ceiling light with a sense of familiarity.
He was lazy and comfortable, almost not wanting to get up.
Victoria thought he probably wanted to sleep there. After all, he was used to being the leader, and she would have to sleep in another room. But she had to take Strawberry with her. Just as she was thinking about how to say it, he suddenly said casually, "You can sleep with Strawberry."
Victoria felt like she had everything, but she didn't dare to rush over and grab Strawberry. She could only silently observe him.
Alexander finally sat up. "How could I come all this way just to let you see Strawberry for a moment?"
So, he was just scaring her? Teasing with her?
She knew it. Alexander was always so excessive.
Luckily, they had separated. Otherwise, she didn't know how many more times he would tease her in the future.
"So, there's no empty guest room here?"
He knew there were two maids, but they lived downstairs. As for Eve and Frank, they would at most occupy two rooms, right?
Even they had rooms.
And yet he was being kicked out by Victoria.
Alexander looked at her irritably, thinking she better say no.
"Yes."
Alexander stood up helplessly and sighed before saying, "We'll talk about the rest tomorrow."
He glanced at Strawberry again, then stared straight at Victoria.
Victoria stared back at him, her eyes saying, "Why aren't you leaving yet?"
"Can you at least get me a towel?"
Victoria looked at him in confusion.
"Forget it, I'll use your bathroom."
"Don't be nervous. I said you're free now."
Alexander walked to the bathroom door with his long legs, then stopped and looked at her thin silhouette, speaking slowly.
Victoria didn't say a word, feeling awkward. But after he went to the bathroom, she lay on the bed, looking at Strawberry sleeping beside her, and forgot everything.
It had only been a few days, but Strawberry had changed. She looked even better now.
In the bathroom, Alexander saw neatly arranged men's products in the cabinet by the sink.
They were his, just put away by Victoria.
Alexander felt a bit uncomfortable but decided to take a shower first. It had been a long day.
When he came out after washing up, the two on the bed were already fast asleep.
He had intentionally taken more time.
Alexander walked over and tucked them in.
Victoria woke up sensitively and looked at him nervously.
"Sleep."
Alexander said.
At that moment, his gaze at her was a bit sour.
She looked so fragile, so scared of him.
Even after he told her to sleep, she still stared at him, not blinking.
It wasn't until he left and closed the door for her that Victoria hugged Strawberry and closed her eyes to continue sleeping.
The rain was still falling outside, but the house was already lit up.
A maid was standing at the kitchen door. Alexander found something to eat and, seeing her, said, "You can go rest now."
"Yes."
She then retreated.
She felt that it was great Alexander had come.
A house only felt like a home with a man in it.
Although Alexander came a bit late, it was better than not coming at all.
Victoria's daily silly smiles were just for show. Once, after she left, Victoria's smile disappeared as soon as she turned around, looking as lost as if the person who had just been smiling wasn't her.
Alexander poured himself a glass of red wine, found some bread in the fridge, and looked up at the familiar scene and the familiar smell.
They had lived here before.
He used to always find excuses to come see her.
But he had never felt as uncomfortable as he did tonight.
However, Victoria had learned to lock the door and call the police instead of confronting a thief herself, which was something to be thankful for.
After his stomach felt better, Alexander lay on the couch for a while, but he missed the bed upstairs even more.
Alexander couldn't help but look upstairs, thinking about Victoria's guarded expression.
No, it wasn't just her expression. Every hair on her body seemed to be on high alert around him.
Alexander thought about it, then withdrew his gaze and silently lay on the couch, listening to the rain outside.
Luckily, he had arrived a bit early; otherwise, he might not have made it.
He lay on his side, silently looking at everything in the house. Wherever she was, it always felt cozier.
Victoria woke up very early the next day. After washing up and getting dressed, she took Strawberry out. Strawberry was hungry.
There was no way Victoria would let her go hungry.
In the blink of an eye, it seemed like a long time had passed.
Strawberry was almost one year old.
Victoria happily opened the door with Strawberry in her arms, but the person at the door made her smile disappear instantly. She knew Alexander was there, but seeing him still made her heart race. She looked at him like a fool for a long time before saying, "Morning."
"Morning. Give me Strawberry."
Alexander said, taking Strawberry from Victoria's arms.
Strawberry suddenly got anxious and, in a voice they weren't familiar with, said, "Mommy."
Victoria's eyes were immediately filled with tears.
Alexander was also stunned and looked down at Strawberry.
"Mommy."
Strawberry reached out to Victoria and called her again.
Victoria quickly stepped forward and reached out.
But Alexander, holding Strawberry, turned away from Victoria.
Victoria, already moved to tears by Strawberry's call, became nervous again with his sudden turn. She followed him, "Alexander, give me Strawberry."
Alexander said to Strawberry, "Call me Daddy first, let me hear it."
Both Victoria and Strawberry looked at him. Soon, Strawberry leaned towards Victoria, and Victoria immediately supported Strawberry's armpits. Although she accidentally touched Alexander's hand, she didn't care. She just wanted Strawberry.
Alexander was a bit reluctant, "Strawberry calls Mommy but not Daddy."
Seeing Strawberry about to cry, Alexander didn't dare to provoke her further.
Victoria felt a bit proud; her love for Strawberry hadn't been in vain.
Afraid her tears would scare Strawberry, Victoria held her and kissed her cheek softly, "Baby, I'm here."
Strawberry wrapped both arms around Victoria's neck, kissed her for a while, then turned to look at Alexander.
Alexander couldn't describe his feelings.
Seeing Victoria's proud look made him very unhappy.
And Strawberry was better at winning Victoria's favor than he was.
In the end, it was Alexander who carried Strawberry downstairs. With Strawberry's current weight, Victoria couldn't hold her for long.
Once downstairs, Victoria sat on the couch with Strawberry in her arms.
The nanny, Desiree Bryant, brought over some formula for Strawberry. Lying in Victoria's arms, Strawberry was very well-behaved, holding the bottle and drinking in big gulps. She would stop occasionally to look at Victoria, then drink a few more gulps and look again, extremely happy.
Victoria was amused by Strawberry, while Alexander sat beside them, watching Victoria.
The sun was already shining brightly outside. Alexander glanced outside, then silently stared at Victoria again.
After Strawberry finished her milk, Victoria asked, "Are you going to the hotel today?"
"I don't have to."
