Chapter 823 No, I'll Wait for You

"I understand, but you don't need to worry about my affairs, Mr. Harrington,"

Victoria said this and was about to leave.

However, just as she reached Alexander's side, he leaned over and extended his long arm to grab her, pulling her onto his lap. He held her arms with both hands, staring straight at her, "I'm talking about you and Adrian."

Victoria looked at him speechlessly.

He only cared about her and Adrian, but not his affairs?

Or was he just indulging himself?

Victoria found it amusing in her heart, but her face still showed a sense of loss.

"I didn't give Daisy a chance."

Seeing her expression, Alexander didn't dare to keep anything from her.

"Mr. Harrington, can't we break up peacefully?"

Alexander looked at her desolate and humble appearance, suddenly feeling a bit powerless, and could only tighten his grip on her arms.

"Or go back to when you and I signed the agreement. I was fine living on Rockland Street."Victoria continued.

She thought there must be a proper way for them to continue living peacefully.

"You might enjoy solitude, but Victoria, I can't."

He had never hated loneliness so much.

Since confirming his relationship with her, he no longer liked coming home alone, with no one there except the servants.

He hated her not being in his life.

Victoria choked up, smiling slightly, "I understand."

She lowered her head, feeling lost, but had to accept his words calmly.

Alexander didn't know what she meant by understanding, so he just stared at her, "What do you understand?"

"I can't persuade you, just as you can't persuade me. You can't let go of the issue with women, so I'll let it go for you."

Victoria said quietly and was about to get up, but Alexander held her tightly in his arms and looked straight at her, "Make yourself clear."

"You will understand, but not now."

"Victoria."

Alexander still held her arms, not letting her leave. Victoria turned to look at him, smiling, "Mr. Harrington, you could have a much happier life."

"What nonsense are you talking about?"Alexander frowned tightly.

Victoria smiled, "Let me help you."

When she said she would help him so gently, Alexander almost broke her arm with his grip.

He had a very bad feeling that she was going to introduce him to another woman.

"Victoria, I'm Strawberry's father."

"Of course, that will never be in doubt."

"You can't let her father become a womanizer, or when she finds out, what kind of marriage values do you want her to have?"

As Alexander spoke, he thought of this reason.

Victoria was stunned, looking at him quietly, unable to speak for a long time.

'If Strawberry knew her father was a womanizer, she would think all men were like that.'

Victoria thought about it and suddenly felt she couldn't do that.

When Victoria looked at him again, she suddenly felt a bit overwhelmed, but Alexander couldn't help but laugh at her frustrated and helpless look.

Victoria was already stifled, and seeing him laugh made her even more annoyed.

Alexander quickly managed to hold back his laughter, and he lowered his head against her shoulder, "Sorry, it's my fault."

It felt so good to easily control Victoria's feelings.

But he couldn't be too proud, lest he suffer the consequences.

So he quickly pretended to be indifferent again but still held her tightly.

"We need to set a good example for Strawberry."He said seriously.

Victoria almost couldn't help but lower her head to bite him. He just seemed to deserve it.

But biting might make things too intimate, so she restrained herself and asked, "Mr. Harrington, can you let go of me now?"

"Is your waist uncomfortable? Let me carry you back."

He looked serious but seemed to be teasing her. Victoria glanced at him and immediately turned her face away.

She couldn't look at him directly.

She thought of Ava's words and also of Eloise, then looked at Alexander and said softly, "If you don't let go, my waist will break."

Alexander looked at the delicate expression on her face and slowly let go.

Victoria quickly tried to get up, but he immediately stopped her, holding her with a smile, "Let's kiss before you go."

Victoria flushed instantly, but she quickly asked him angrily, "What exactly..."

Before she could finish asking, her lips were suddenly blocked.

His thin lips just lightly touched her soft lips but soon changed.

He adjusted her legs to a suitable position, then held the back of her head with one hand and kissed her deeper and deeper.

Victoria's mind couldn't think, what was going on?

She raised her hand, holding his shoulder, and looked at him, "What are you doing?"

"Kissing my wife."

Alexander said and was about to kiss her again, but Victoria pushed his shoulder and said sternly, "Weren't you having lunch with Daisy at noon?"

"I told her to leave as soon as you left."

"If you don't believe me..."

"Alexander, does this make you happy? You're simply a jerk."She couldn't help but scold him.

He always did things his way without considering others.

Victoria came out of the conference room just as Shoure and another boss were going in to find Alexander. Seeing her fierce look, the boss asked, "Is it okay for us to go in now?"

Shoure also peeked inside and then said, "It should be fine."

Alexander was still laughing.

But hearing them talk, Alexander immediately pretended to be serious again, even flicking his pants, and said seriously, "If you have something to say, say it quickly."

Don't disturb him from getting close to Victoria later.

The people outside immediately entered the conference room and closed the door.

When Alexander went back upstairs, it was just when Victoria was getting off work. He saw her unoccupied desk as he got out of the elevator, sighed irritably, put his hands on his hips, hesitated for a moment, and then walked slowly to her desk.

Her desk was so clean that he didn't want to mess it up.

But today, it was his first time sitting in her seat.

The chair was comfortable enough, but it was uncomfortable that she, as his secretary, left without saying a word.

He took out his phone, his seductive fingers tapping the screen, then put it on speaker and placed it on her desk.

"Ms. Kensington, don't you need to ask me before leaving work?"

"Today, I don't want to ask."

As she spoke, Alexander heard the elevator door open.

He immediately stood up, hung up the phone, and dialed another number, "Bring the car to the door, pick up Victoria, and wait for me."

He quickly ran into the elevator with his long legs. Victoria had just gone downstairs, and he was just a step behind her.

Victoria walked out of the office building and saw Alexander's driver standing there, "Mrs. Harrington."

"Leander."

Victoria greeted him and walked up in confusion, "Are you waiting for Alexander?"

"No, I'm waiting for you."
