Chapter 405 I Hope to Die in Your Arms
"Why are you crying? Don't you say you won't be fooled?" Alexander quickly wiped away her tears with one hand.
Victoria sniffed the almost flowing snot, trying hard to hold back her tears.
At that moment, the song on Adrian's phone happened to play such a lyric.
"If it's the end of the world, I hope to die in your arms."
Adrian stood outside without going in further. He always knew that Victoria was easily moved, but he didn't expect it to be that easy.
The moment Alexander held her wrist, Victoria was probably moved.
'And I don't even know that she is on her period. How can I compare with Alexander?' Adrian thought.
He could only take his phone and quietly leave the scene that didn't belong to him.
When Victoria came back to her senses, she heard the door closing and turned her head. "Hey, where's Adrian?"
'I am still looking at her, still warming her hands. Is she looking for Adrian now? She has never called my name so intimately.'
Alexander felt a pang in his heart.
"Glad that he knows he's in the way," Alexander said unhappily.
Victoria looked back at him and quickly pulled her hand out of his arms. "Okay, thank you."
She was about to go wash the vegetables again, but Alexander quickly stopped her. "I just warm your hands. Don't you dare make them cold again."
Victoria looked at the man, who had a stern look, then turned to look at the greens in the water. "What about them?"
"Shall I stir-fry the broccoli with garlic?" Alexander asked.
"No, Adrian likes to drink broccoli soup," Victoria answered seriously.
Alexander licked his dry lips irritably, saying, "Victoria, try mentioning Adrian to me again."
Victoria dared not speak, closed her mouth, lowered her head, and walked out.
"Don't you think you can run away!" Alexander watched her leave, worriedly threatening her.
"It's my home. Why would I run?" Victoria retorted, took off her coat, hung it up, and then turned to the living room.
She inadvertently saw her hand wearing a wedding ring, thinking, 'Does he do it on purpose just now, or is he subconsciously worried I would catch a cold?'
Victoria held her hand, still feeling his warmth in her palms.
She wanted to stay with him a little longer, just a little longer.
'Oh, I need to have to pay the landlord today!' Victoria suddenly thought.
She didn't expect she would continue to rent, and the landlord gave her a new bank account, saying the house had been sold to a relative and asked her to transfer money to that account.
She glanced at her recent salary, thinking, 'Alexander is generous. He doesn't deduct my full-attendance bonus.'
Victoria felt she was hopeless. 'With just this little full-attendance bonus, and he can control me now?'
She transferred the money.
There was a "Ding" sounded in Alexander's pocket over in the kitchen.
Victoria curiously glanced over but saw him focused on cooking, so she casually played with her phone.
Alexander bought a hot search, spreading the news that he was going to have a wedding with his secretary.
Why emphasize the word "secretary"? He didn't even let them write his name but had them write Secretary Victoria.
Victoria felt her name became famous this time.
And the comments section was off topic.
Originally, everyone was saying that there must be something wrong that they waited two years to have a wedding, speculating that Alexander was just fooling around until he settled down. Still, there were no negative comments about her.
But later, they all started commenting that Alexander must have a strong sexual desire, and she looked too frail to handle him.
'What are these netizens thinking? Do I look so useless?' Victoria thought.
Victoria couldn't help but raise her arm, feeling muscle in her upper arm.
Alexander didn't make broccoli soup, but he made oatmeal porridge and garlic broccoli.
When Victoria walked into the kitchen, he was tearing something. Then, he suddenly turned around and asked her, "Have you removed your strap inside?"
