Chapter 97 Witnessing Her Lying with Another Man

Isabella gently swung his arm, wearing the expression of a guilty girlfriend seeking forgiveness. Alexander cast a slow glance in her direction, his thoughts inscrutable.
Meanwhile, Edward and Benjamin, who were still oblivious to Alexander's recent altercation with Mark, were observing the unfolding drama from the sidelines.
"I know you're worried that Vicky might not find the right person. My dad thought Vicky slept with you, so he thought others might be critical of her. Actually, you're both overthinking it. I just came back from the seaside and saw Victoria chatting and stargazing with Adrian. How about we set them up?" Isabella, with her amiable demeanor, seemed to be trying to please him again.
However...
Edward and Benjamin knew where Alexander's displeasure stemmed from.
With calm composure, Alexander regarded the woman beside him and offered her a faint smile.
Set them up? Adrian and Victoria? Ha! A humorous notion indeed.
"What do you think about Adrian and Vicky? Adrian is a hot star now; he’s good at singing and acting. He’s good-looking and part of the Harrington family. Isn’t someone like that suitable for our Vicky?" Isabella saw that he wouldn't speak but still smiled, then asked Edward and Benjamin for their opinion.
"Aren’t they a good match?"
Edward didn't dare say yes.
"Technically, Vicky is Adrian's cousin's wife," Benjamin kindly reminded.
"Oh, Victoria and Alexander are just in a nominal marital relationship, nothing has happened. And haven’t you noticed that Adrian really likes Vicky? Vicky seems to like him too. They're always together, aren't they?" Isabella asked again.
However, within the expansive private room, a heavy silence descended.
--
When Alexander returned home, it was already midnight, but there was no one at home. Their phones were unreachable.
Hers and Adrian's were both not connecting.
These two...
Alexander dialed another number.
As dawn approached, he parked the car at the beach.
According to the location given to him by his subordinate, he found her.
But the moment he saw her, his heart still wasn't at ease.
There, he beheld a troubling sight—she was lying with Adrian on a mat.
Although there were snacks and drinks between them, they seemed to be getting along well.
But she was his wife. He watched from a distance, feeling a hint of bitterness creeping in.
Was she really planning to divorce him?
Then why did she agree to marry him in the first place?
Alexander got back into the car, ready to leave. But no matter how angry he was, he didn't dare go.
He feared that they were already together, just as his friends suggested. They were in the fiery age of passion and impulsiveness.
However, she was always rational and restrained; she always said no when he made advances at her.
--
At six in the morning, Victoria quietly returned home.
Her purpose was solely to retrieve some belongings.
It was already bright outside at six in the morning, so the light was shining brightly through the floor-to-ceiling windows into the room. A sense of trepidation gripped her as she cautiously entered.
Someone on Facebook posted that he and Isabella had spent the night at a hotel, so she guessed he hadn't come back yet.
She was only worried about being caught by the nanny.
She had called the nanny last night, saying she was going out for dinner and might be at a karaoke bar until late, so she told the nanny not to wait up for her.
However, as she stepped inside, her posture straightened involuntarily.
The silhouette of a man on the living room sofa casually entered her sight.
Startled, she subconsciously opened her mouth, "Mr... Mr. Harrington."
