Chapter 107 I Let Her Hit Wherever She Wanted to Hit

Olivia didn't let Pearl leave, grabbing her. The intention to kill her arose.

"I knew you were an asshole. Without you, we would all be fine. Our family could live happily. You are a malicious woman. I'll beat you to death!"

Olivia grabbed Pearl's hair and scattered it. Pearl instinctively dodged, trying to push her away. Olivia's nails were long, and she scratched Pearl's cheek, leaving several nail marks.

"Madam, this is a police station. Your behavior can get you detained!"

Olivia was so angry that she lost her mind. "Detain me if you want. As long as you let me beat her to death, let me die, it's fine! Even if I die, I will drag her to hell!"

Olivia was furious, and the police had no choice but to subdue her and press her to the ground. She still wanted to move, her angry gaze fixed on Pearl.

Isabelle, pale-faced, shed tears. "Mom, please stop. What should I do if you get detained?"

Isabelle knelt in front of Pearl, pleading bitterly. "Pearl, it's both Olivia and my fault. Forgive us, and I promise we won't drag you down again."

Pearl touched her face and felt a burning sensation. She must have been injured, but she seemed to have lost her sense of pain. Pearl looked at Isabelle, her eyes saying it all: she wouldn't compromise.

Olivia was taken away by the police, cursing Pearl, "May you have a bad end!"

Isabelle cried and followed behind, but Olivia was still taken away in handcuffs.

Haley returned to the Brown family. Hathaway Brown, knowing she was coming, was very happy. Speaking in a much softer tone, "Haley, you're back. It's been so long. You look thinner. Have you not been eating well? Perfect. I'll make you tasty food."

Hathaway hurried to help Haley with her luggage.

"Auntie," Haley said, "As an artist, being slim is good for the camera. It's necessary for work. I'm very healthy. You don't need to worry too much."

Hathaway still felt distressed. "Then what's so good about being an artist? You might as well come home, and when you marry Oscar, you can stay at home with me."

"That's not good; I still need a job." Haley chatted with her and suddenly thought of something, asking, "Auntie, is that girl still living at home?"

Hathaway said, "She is living at home."

She explained, "Don't worry, this girl can't threaten you. I have high hopes for you. I want you to be my daughter-in-law. This girl is pregnant with Oscar's child. When the child is born, give the child to you. Just spend some money to send this girl away."

Haley was surprised when she heard this news. Oscar had a child with another woman, which indirectly indicated that Oscar didn't care that much about Pearl. The girl successfully drove Pearl away, which was not without benefit to her.

"Auntie, I know you're the best to me." Haley took her hand and coaxed, "Let's go home."

They walked in together. Seraphina heard them chatting and laughing, feeling puzzled, until she saw Haley's figure when they arrived in the living room. Seraphina spoke first, "It's you."

Haley looked at Seraphina, feeling somewhat familiar. Hathaway said, "Have you met before?"

Seraphina said, "At the hospital, I accidentally bumped into this lady. I didn't know she knew you, Auntie."

Haley remembered and said with a smile, "Oh, I remember now. It's you."

There was that incident at the hospital, and Seraphina had a good impression of her. "This lady is very nice. She didn't blame me."

Hathaway quickly said, "Since you've met, that's even better. Haley, this girl is called Seraphina. This is Haley."

Seraphina carefully examined Haley and suddenly understood, her expression somewhat unpleasant. "Auntie, is this the... first love of Oscar?"

She thought since Hathaway had accepted her child, Hathaway had accepted her as well. It turned out to be her wishful thinking.

Haley liked this title, and she said amiably, "Auntie has already told me about you, that you're pregnant with Oscar's child, and you're staying here during your pregnancy."

Seraphina had concerns, subconsciously covering her stomach, worried they might harm her child. Haley noticed her thoughts and reassured her, "Don't worry, since it's Oscar's child, I will naturally take good care of it. You don't need to worry. Life will only get better once you give birth to the child."

Seraphina needed clarification. "Will you really let me have the child?"

Haley gently said, "I keep my word. If you don't believe me, believe Auntie. This is her grandson. She wouldn't harm you."

Hathaway would definitely want this child, "Seraphina, rest assured and keep yourself healthy for the delivery. Haley is almost like my own daughter."

Despite these words, Seraphina still felt uneasy. Since Haley was Oscar's first love, she worried she might steal Oscar away. Out went Pearl, in came Haley. For Seraphina, nothing had changed. But seeing Hathaway's warm reception of Haley, Seraphina knew Hathaway was more satisfied with Haley than her.

She dared not say more, making an excuse. "Auntie, I'm tired. I'll go rest in my room first."

Hathaway didn't catch Seraphina's thoughts. "All right, go upstairs."

Haley watched Seraphina's back until she disappeared before saying, "This girl is young, somewhat like me."

"I do think so."Hathaway guessed, then said, "They say Oscar was drunk that night, calling out your name, giving this girl a chance to get pregnant... Oscar hasn't forgotten you. He's looking for girls who resemble you."

"Is that so?" Haley was delighted.

"It is. When have I ever lied to you? I wouldn't lie about something like this."

So that's how it was. Haley regretted a bit, wishing she had returned earlier. Maybe she would be the one pregnant now. Then Pearl wouldn't matter. As long as she had Oscar's child, everything would go with the flow.

Hathaway went to the kitchen to instruct the servants to cook. With Haley returned, she felt joyful, and announced that she would prepare a lavish dinner for Haley to take to the hospital.

"Haley, are you seriously considering letting this woman, Seraphina, have Mr. Brown's child?" Her assistant worried, "If she does have the child, won't it pose a threat to you? What if Oscar marries her?"

She was concerned for Haley.

Haley sneered, "This girl has no family background. How could she possibly marry Oscar? She won't have Oscar's child!"

"Then why did you say that in front of Ms. Brown?" the assistant asked.

She gave her a cold stare. "If I didn't say that, how could I make Seraphina relax her guard?"

Haley looked upstairs with her plans. "Pearl hasn't divorced Oscar yet; how could I let go of such a good tool like Seraphina? I've embraced her, I've embraced his child, I'll cultivate a strong bond with her, and in the future, she'll do as I please. Isn't that better?"
