Chapter 78 But I've Fallen in Love with President Oscar

The more Seraphina thought about it, the more convinced she became of her idea.

Pearl later changed her mind and didn't bring her back. Seraphina could tell that Pearl didn't want anyone else to come between her and Oscar.

Pearl liked Oscar and didn't allow any other women to like him, which was why Pearl said those things to her.

If it wasn't for Seraphina coming to find Oscar, he might never have found out that she was the woman who slept with him that one night.

Pearl would have found a way to cover up this information and send her away.

At first, Seraphina didn't think too much about it. It was the first time she had a relationship with Oscar in that situation. She was nervous and scared, but Oscar didn't want to take responsibility for her.

She knew Oscar was looking for her, and she didn't want to cause trouble. She just wanted to say goodbye to him properly. But Oscar was good to her, gentle even, and he wanted to keep her by his side. He made her feel appreciated. That's why she was willing to stay.

Her staying was perhaps a threat to Pearl. Oscar answered a phone call, seemingly urgent. After he hung up, he said to Pearl, "I have something to take care of, so I need to go out. Finish the milk, and if you're tired, you can go back. Don't overwork yourself today."

"Okay, I got it," Oscar replied lightly.

He didn't look at Seraphina, nor did he say goodbye to her. He turned and walked out. The Rolls-Royce gradually left from the driveway.

Seeing Oscar left without saying a word to her, Seraphina's face paled and she felt a little sad. It seemed like he had changed again. In the beginning, Oscar only cared about her. After Pearl appeared, he only focused on and cared about her. What did Pearl say to Oscar that made him change like a different person? She looked at Pearl again.

Pearl slowly drank the sweet milk in her cup. After she got pregnant, her sense of smell became very sensitive, and she could smell a faint odor of milk. The sweet milk also seemed to taste bad. But Oscar was right, she needed to take care of herself, and not have low blood sugar again. It wasn't good for her, or her baby. She couldn't eat anything, enduring the nausea as she forced herself to drink the milk.

She lowered her head but felt a gaze on her. She raised her eyes and saw that Seraphina was staring at her intently, seemingly full of questions about her. Pearl put the cup on the table and asked, "Why have you been looking at me?"

Seraphina didn't want to suspect her intentions, after all, Pearl was the first person she became close to after coming here. She even felt like Pearl's presence had changed her fate.

Otherwise, she would never have been able to change her destiny in her lifetime. She should be grateful to Pearl. But trust between people was lacking, and Seraphina couldn't fully trust her yet. She still feared her. "Because you seem unwell, vomiting so much."

"I have a stomach condition," Pearl replied flatly.

Seraphina continued, "President Oscar seems to be really good to you, and he also understands you. There are very few bosses like President Oscar who care about their employees."

Her words made Pearl silent for a moment, but she didn't respond.

Seraphina noticed clues. "You haven't mentioned how many years you have worked for President Oscar, it must have been a long time. After working for him for so long without leaving, Ms. Harris, don't you develop feelings for him?"

She wanted to test Pearl. Pearl looked up again and her words today seemed different, as if she was expecting an answer. Pearl did not like Seraphina prying into her personal life.

Her face remained calm, but her words were cold. "These are not questions you should ask, and I have no obligation to answer."

"If you think the food is delicious, you can have more." Pearl put her cup on the table and had no intention to accompany her further. She wanted to leave. Oscar was not here, and Seraphina was afraid that if she didn't ask Pearl now, she would not have another chance.

Before Pearl left, Seraphina said, "Usually if someone doesn't answer a question directly, then the answer is already there. You like President Oscar. The things you said just now were because you were afraid that my presence would cause a crisis for you. Ms. Harris, you have ulterior motives, don't you? Actually, you don't want me to appear because I have had a relationship with President Oscar, and it upset you."

Pearl frowned tightly and turned to face Seraphina again. Seraphina looked at her confidently, unlike the timid girl she was when they first met.

"Why are you so confident?" Pearl asked lightly. "Did you really have a relationship with President Oscar? I found you, so it happened to be you, there couldn't be such a coincidence in the world."

"So, you still don't believe me." Seraphina looked at her and stood up. "What do I have to do for you to believe that I am that woman?"

"That was my first time going to that hotel, and such a thing happened. At first, I really didn't want to remember it, but after I knew that man was President Oscar, I didn't regret the decision I made that day." Pearl stared at Seraphina's innocent and sincere eyes.

Looking into these eyes, Pearl felt that she couldn't be lying. Her certainty left Pearl speechless. "You have already moved in, your goal is not to make me believe you, but to make President Oscar believe you. As long as he believes you, it's enough." Seraphina added, "But I have fallen in love with President Oscar." Pearl paused, pursing her lips. "I really like President Oscar, and I will find a way to make him like me. Please don't me."

The scenes they just had together made Seraphina feel threatened. She didn't want Pearl to deliberately say those things to undermine her confidence.

"If you also like him, we can compete fairly, but I don't want you to play tricks behind my back," Pearl said.

It was only then that Pearl realized she had said some unnecessary words, which caused Seraphina to be wary of her and suspect her motives.

But if Seraphina didn't ask her, she wouldn't have said those things.

Since Seraphina took the risk, she couldn't stop Seraphina. "You like him, that's your business. It has nothing to do with me."

Pearl left.

However, Seraphina had other ideas to win Oscar's heart.

Her hair was wet from the shower, and she was naked with fair skin. She stood in front of the mirror, looking at her innocent and pitiful face in the mirror.

Both her figure and appearance were excellent.

Moreover, she was young.

At the nightclub, many men wanted her body, but she refused.

She knew that men were bad, and even if she needed money, she couldn't indulge herself.

Now she had a goal to win Oscar's heart, and she must hold onto him tightly.

The next day, Pearl woke up early and went to the hospital.

The doctor had told her that when she felt better, she needed to come back to the hospital for a follow-up examination.

She also needed to do an ultrasound.

She registered at the hospital and went to the gynecology department with her number card.

There were many people sitting outside the ultrasound room, mostly pregnant women, most of whom were accompanied by their husbands.

There were hundreds of people in front of her, and she wouldn't have her turn until the afternoon, so she had to come back later.

She returned and prepared to come back in the afternoon.

The gynecology department was on the third floor, and she took the elevator downstairs.

As the elevator door opened, there was someone outside wanting to get on the elevator.

Pearl looked up. When she saw the person in front of her, her eyes widened, her face paled, and the registration form in her hand fell to the ground.
