Pearl stayed silent, thinking about Louis's words.

"I know you don't believe it. But not just anyone can become a war correspondent," Louis saw her doubts and continued. "Pearl, Oscar also played a part in this."
Pearl frowned even more.
Five years ago, news of Oscar's death was everywhere, but Louis said Oscar played a part in this. She didn't understand, but before she could ask, Louis continued, "Don't forget, even if he's dead, he still has subordinates in the army."

As soon as Pearl left, Louis held Christopher's hand. "Who sent you here? You don't seem like someone who can't speak."
In the days he'd been with Pearl, he'd never seen Christopher speak. He seemed mute.
However, Christopher's thoughts and expressions were not those of a typical five-year-old.
Christopher's sudden appearance by Pearl's side was unexpected.
But Christopher ignored Louis.
Louis couldn't take action against him, so he continued, "I don't care who sent you or what your purpose is. But don't think about hurting Pearl or staying by her side forever!"
Christopher just glanced at Louis and said nothing.

As she struggled, she was knocked out.
She didn't know how much time had passed when she woke up, still feeling the car bumping along.
She wasn't dead, and her mouth wasn't sealed.
She tried to speak, "Who are you?"
No one responded.
Pearl continued, "I am Oscar's widow, and I am also an Eldorian..."
