Chapter 370 Donald is Dead

Oscar looked at Barbara and asked, "What do you think your fate is?"

Barbara gave a bitter smile. "I might die or end up in prison. I've accepted it. I'm not a good person."

"What if you had a chance to redeem yourself?"

Barbara looked up. "Is that even possible?"

Oscar replied, "Anything that benefits the country can be a way to redeem yourself."

Barbara's eyes dimmed. "What can I do? I'm only good at fighting and causing trouble."

Oscar reassured her, "You can still help people once you recover. You're not useless."

Barbara looked at Oscar, his words like a ray of hope. She realized her life had value and she could still save people. She was not as powerless as she imagined, which filled her with confidence and excitement. She longed for recognition.

Oscar left the ward, where Elijah and Nicholas were waiting. He said, "Help Barbara back to her room."

"Me?" Elijah asked, pointing at himself.

"You come with me to the prison," Oscar told Nicholas.

"Yes!"

They left the hospital, and Elijah felt sidelined.

"Hurry up and help me!" Barbara demanded.

Elijah looked at her, "You!"

"Did you forget Oscar's order? Help me now!" Barbara extended her hand, seizing the chance to boss him around.

Elijah, not daring to disobey, helped Barbara, finally satisfying her.

Oscar and Nicholas arrived at the prison, a large facility on an island. They walked through winding paths to the underground prison where important prisoners were held.

"Oscar!" Victor Lopez greeted him. "Donald is in the interrogation room."

Oscar sternly removed his gloves. "He's an important prisoner. Have you been keeping a close watch on him as I requested?"

"Yes, we've been patrolling daily. He can't escape!"

Oscar stopped and looked at him coldly. "It's not just that. Anyone who has come into contact with him must be strictly checked!"

Victor hesitated but said, "We've done that!"

"Good."

Oscar entered the interrogation room. Donald, shackled, showed no anxiety. He was calm, eating and drinking as if the prison were his home, even getting his injuries treated.

Seeing Oscar, Donald sneered. "Didn't expect this, Oscar. You value me so much you have so many people watching me. Am I your number one prisoner?" He had considered it as an honor.

"Shut up! If Oscar hasn't asked you a question, you don't get to speak!" Victor scolded.

"Everyone, get out!" Oscar ordered.

Everyone left, leaving only Oscar and Donald. Oscar turned off the camera, stood in front of the table, and said coldly, "I'm giving you a chance to redeem yourself."

"What?" Donald raised an eyebrow, intrigued.

Oscar asked, "Why did you and Kevin become enemies? If you tell me about RavenWing and it's useful, I'll consider giving you a chance."

Donald chuckled. "You're acting so normal, I'm surprised. Did you get the antidote from Kevin? But that can't be right. How could Kevin develop a real antidote? It's impossible."

He looked puzzled. "Don't you feel any abnormalities in your body?"

Oscar slammed his hands on the table, making a loud noise. "Say something useful!"

Donald noticed Oscar's bloodshot eyes and smirked. "You didn't get the antidote!"

Oscar's veins bulged, his knuckles cracking in frustration.

Donald, sensing the tension, decided to talk. "RavenWing never shows his true face. Neither Kevin nor I have seen him. Anyone who has probably isn't alive anymore. As for Kevin and me, we weren't enemies. It was all about our interests. He wanted my money, I threatened him, and when we couldn't agree, I ended up here."

"You threatened him?" Oscar stood up, eyes cold. "What do you know?"

Donald tried to play coy, reaching for a glass of water.

As the cup reached his lips, Oscar's eyes filled with suspicion. He grabbed Donald's hand. "Don't move!"

Donald looked up. "The prison is full of your people. It's unlikely anyone could kill me. I checked it."

Before he could finish, Donald felt his throat tighten, his eyes widening as he looked at the cup.

The water was colorless and tasteless.

But he already felt unwell.

"Did you drink it?" Oscar noticed his face changing.

Donald spat out blood.

He hadn't expected this.

After entering prison, he anticipated someone might want him dead.

He checked everything, including the water.

'Why was the water poisoned?'

Oscar panicked, shouting, "Get a doctor!"

Donald kept spitting blood, collapsing into the chair. With his last breath, he grabbed Oscar's hand.

With trembling hands, he wrote something in Oscar's palm.

Oscar opened his hand, but Donald had no strength left, taking his last breath!

"The doctor's here!" Victor rushed in with the doctor, looking tense.

But Donald was already dead!

Oscar clenched his fists, glaring at Victor. "Didn't you say no suspicious people contacted him?"

Victor stammered, "I don't know, there shouldn't have been anyone."

"No one should have been able to get close enough to poison him!" Oscar was furious, grabbing Victor by the collar. "Is this what you call an underground prison where not even a fly can get in?"

Victor was terrified, cold sweat dripping. "I'm sorry, Oscar. I never expected this!"

"Oscar, we caught a suspect. He poisoned the cup!"

They caught a prison guard, Gabriel Green, who had just delivered the water, his hands cuffed, kneeling on the ground.

Victor looked at him, shocked. "How could it be you!"

Gabriel looked up. "Victor, I'm sorry, but he had to die!"

Victor was speechless with rage. "You!"

Gabriel had been one of Victor's trusted confidants, working with him for six or seven years.

Who would have thought Gabriel was an undercover agent all along!
