Chapter 543 Human-Caused Accident
Jimena and Louis took down those guys in no time and called the cops.
Jimena, seizing the moment, raised her voice. "I just sent him to the station not long ago, and he's out in less than an hour. Now he's got a whole crew targeting us. What's up with that? Is he part of the local gang or something?"
People started gathering around as soon as she said that.
The cops had no choice but to explain to everyone.
"We warned him, and he wrote a guarantee. We didn't expect him to come out and cause trouble again. Don't worry, we'll take care of them all!"
To avoid more drama, Louis went straight to the person in charge and revealed his identity.
Jimena felt a bit awkward. "I just felt bad for that little girl. Didn't think it would cause us so much trouble."
"You don't need to tell me that. If you hadn't stepped in, I probably would have."
He got where Jimena was coming from.
They were the same type of people; when they saw something wrong, they couldn't just stand by and do nothing.
"But next time, I'll think twice before jumping in." Jimena promised again.
Louis flicked her forehead. "Alright, enough about that. Let's go back and find Pearl."
"Nope." Jimena wanted to stick with Louis.
How could she pass up such a good chance?
Jimena saw some folks taking artsy photos and got tempted.
Louis saw right through her. "Don't you think you're being a bit greedy?"
Jimena felt a bit sheepish. "We've already got our rings, this isn't much."
As she spoke, Jimena shook Louis's arm.
The last time Louis dealt with this kind of thing was when Pearl was little and acted all cute in front of him. Jimena was already younger than him, and now Louis couldn't help but feel a bit soft-hearted.
"Since we're already here, why don't we stay together forever and have a kid?"
Louis frowned a bit. His face didn't look too happy, but his eyes weren't too harsh either.
Jimena lowered her head.
She hadn't said this to Louis before, but she was definitely thinking it. If Louis agreed, that would be perfect.
Louis poked her forehead and smiled helplessly.
Jimena felt a bit embarrassed, but since they were already talking about it, she had to keep going, "Look, we've been together for so long, and I'm not bad, right? Why don't you consider me?"
Jimena looked up, her eyes full of hope.
Jimena really wanted to be with Louis. After hanging out with him so much, she found him to be a chill and easy-going guy.
"Aren't you scared of being alone?" Louis asked, unsure.
Jimena shook her head. "Not at all. To be with you, I've prepped for everything. I really, really want to be with you."
She was so hopeful, waiting for Louis to give her an answer.
But Louis still didn't agree. "It's too early to talk about this now. When the time comes, you might regret it."
"I didn't just meet you today. I know your responsibilities, Louis. I can handle everything about you, no strings attached. Seriously. If I'm lying, may I meet a terrible fate!"
To make Louis believe her, she even swore an oath.
Louis grabbed her hand to stop her. "I know you love me, and you're great. But I was born to be responsible for the Eldorians."
"But you can't dedicate your whole life to the Eldorians. Even RavenWing got married and had kids. You can't be alone forever."
Saying this, Jimena hugged Louis. There were people coming and going around them, but at this moment, Jimena's heart was only for Louis.
"I know, let me think about it." Louis was very hesitant.
"Okay."
Jimena smiled happily. "No matter what decision you make in the end, I'll always be by your side, never leaving you."
She would have his back. If Louis were to die one day, she would follow him.
She only wanted to be with Louis, nothing else.
They got back three hours later, and the day's events were already on the news.
Pearl saw them and teased, "You guys made it to the local news today, so cool!"
Jimena felt a bit embarrassed.
Louis said, "Stop teasing us. What are you guys having for dinner? Or, where are you headed next on your trip?"
"We're not sure yet. But we had planned a travel shoot here, so we'll be staying for a few more days. Do you guys want to take some photos to commemorate?"
Pearl answered honestly.
Louis thought about Jimena wanting to take photos. "Alright, we'll take some too."
Even at this point, Louis was still being stubborn. Pearl was just waiting to see when Louis would finally admit he liked Jimena!
Unexpectedly, after they scheduled the shoot, Pearl had an accident.
The makeup artist accidentally got eyeshadow in Pearl's eye, causing her to have an allergic reaction and end up in the hospital.
Oscar stayed by Pearl's side the whole time, but he found out it was intentional, not an accident!
