Chapter 779 What are you doing here?

Azalea bolted, and Saskia didn't bother chasing her. She got it—if she were in Azalea's shoes, she'd be just as freaked out.

Right now, she had to find Jade.

She flagged down a cab and headed straight for the Egan Estate.

This was her second visit.

The first time, Jade had invited her over.

Jade had flaunted the Egan Estate's luxury and offered her fifty million bucks to ditch Nathaniel.

Azalea had vowed never to come back.

But today, she was here for Azalea.

The security guard at the gate stopped her. "Who are you?"

Saskia gave her name. "I'm Saskia. Tell Jade I'm here. She'll want to see me."

She hadn't chased Azalea because she wanted to give her some space to process everything.

But she couldn't leave Azalea alone for too long. She needed to move fast.

The guard, seeing how calm she was, decided to go tell Jade.

When Jade heard it was Saskia, her face changed.

Instead of having Saskia brought in, Jade came out to meet her.

From the moment Saskia saw Jade, she got it.

Especially the icy, hostile look in Jade's eyes. Saskia knew Jade thought she wasn't good enough to step foot in the Egan Estate.

Jade sneered, "Out of money, are you?"

Saskia's face stayed blank. "I'm here because you hurt my family. I kept my promise to you. I left Nathaniel and stayed away from him."

Now it was Nathaniel who had come looking for her!

"I hurt your family? Do you really not know why Nathaniel found your sister? I wouldn't waste my time on her." Jade's face didn't look like she was lying.

If it wasn't Jade, could it be Nathaniel himself?

Or maybe Amy?

Saskia's expression ticked Jade off even more. "Don't project your filthy mindset onto us," she snapped.

Saskia shot back, "We're all dirty, but you think you're the cleanest."

"If it were me, I wouldn't let you off so easily," Saskia warned, then turned and walked away without looking back.

Jade was fuming at Saskia's attitude.

But with Nathaniel in trouble, Jade didn't want to lower herself to Saskia's level.

Unexpectedly, before Oscar and the others could act, the court announced that Nathaniel had been meeting with a judge in secret and was involved in bribery and corruption.

Saskia was floored.

Herschel was Nathaniel's good friend.

Nathaniel was the best lawyer, and he cared a lot about his reputation.

Saskia couldn't believe Nathaniel would do such things.

Holding her phone, she felt helpless. There was nothing she could do.

The Egan family and Nathaniel's friends hadn't managed to bail him out yet!

"Saskia, table 9 needs their order." Suddenly, a voice called out to her.

Saskia had to push her thoughts aside.

When she brought the food to the private room, she was shocked to see Herschel.Across from Herschel sat a guy in a black mask.

He said, "You did good this time. Don't worry, I'll keep my promises."

Saskia was floored.

What had she just heard?

She quickly turned on her phone's recording function.

She poured them wine, trying to stay calm.

Herschel was clearly struggling inside.

He said, "I don't need anything from you. Just don't hurt my family. That's all I ask."

The masked man chuckled, "It's rare to find someone who doesn't care about money or power."

Herschel's face stayed blank. "Just promise me that, and don't contact me again. I'm done helping you."

But the masked man wasn't letting Herschel off that easy.

He handed Herschel a list. "Get these people released, or I'll expose your role in framing Nathaniel. Think the public or the government will let you off?"

Satisfied with the recording, Saskia turned to leave, but Herschel spotted her. He said, "Saskia, what are you doing here?"

The masked man's eyes went cold.

Saskia reacted fast, bolting out the door.

She hadn't known before, but now she realized Nathaniel was framed. She couldn't just stand by.

Herschel wanted to chase her, but the masked man stopped him. "Don't worry, she won't get far."

At first, Herschel didn't get it, but then the masked man said, "Doesn't Saskia have a son?"

Herschel immediately understood.

The masked man pulled out his phone and made a call. "Get control of Saskia's kid at the hospital."

Herschel hadn't wanted to involve others, but now he couldn't let Saskia spill the truth.

Saskia's first thought was to find Jade.

But the masked man was faster.

When she heard Benjamin's cries over the phone, she knew she couldn't help Nathaniel anymore.

Saskia's voice was hoarse. "I'll keep quiet. Just let my son go."

A mocking voice replied, "How do I know you're telling the truth? I'll take care of Benjamin for now."

Before Saskia could respond, the call ended.

Those people were ruthless. They wouldn't really take care of Benjamin.

Saskia had no other options. She had to find Jade.

Jade's eyes were filled with disgust when she saw Saskia. "You're back again? The Egan family isn't a shelter for the needy!"

Saskia bowed repeatedly. "Jade, I'm not asking for anything. I have evidence to clear Nathaniel's name. Please help me."

To prove she was telling the truth, Saskia played the recording for Jade.

But she didn't realize she was being watched.

A video was sent to her phone.

It showed Benjamin crying loudly, with a man holding a knife over his hand.

A text followed: [Ms. Fuller, do I need to tell you what to do?]

Saskia trembled uncontrollably. She had never felt so cold and scared.

She placed all her hope in Jade. "Jade, you heard it. Nathaniel is innocent, and my son is innocent too."
