Chapter 794 Drugging

"Don't even try begging me. If begging worked, I would've begged Nathaniel to stay. Saskia, seriously, does begging ever work?" Azalea wiped away the tears from her eyes.

"I called you today to tell you something. Everything you owe me, I'm going to get back through Benjamin. He's your son. Your mistakes should be paid for by him. That's only fair." With those harsh words, Azalea hung up the phone.

Holding her phone, she felt a deep ache in her heart.

A man wearing a mask walked over and stood beside her, asking, "Azalea, why are you doing this to yourself? You clearly hate Saskia, but you still take care of her son. Sometimes, I really don't get you."

If he were in Azalea's shoes, he would seize this rare opportunity.

But Azalea refused.

"Benjamin is my nephew, after all. Besides, why should a kid pay for the mistakes of adults?" Azalea shook her head.

Saskia might be heartless, but Azalea couldn't bring herself to hurt Benjamin in the same way. She had her limits.

"That's a good point. The kid inside is indeed innocent. But what about the child you're carrying?" the masked man continued, "Even if you want to consider other children, you should put your own child first."

"Enough, you don't need to say anymore. This is my business, and I know what to do. I don't need you to tell me what to do." With that, Azalea turned and walked away.

Watching her back, the masked man had a contemplative look in his eyes.

Meanwhile, Saskia was overwhelmed with worry for Benjamin, desperate to go out and find him.

She had just gotten out of bed when the bedroom door opened. A stranger holding a tray stood before her. "Saskia, I made this nutritious drink for you. Drink it while it's hot; it's good for your health."

"I don't want it. Just take it away." Saskia had no interest in any nutritious drinks right now.

She only wanted to see Benjamin.

The woman had been paid a large sum of money to do this job, and she wasn't about to leave without completing it.

She took a few steps forward, blocking Saskia's path, still smiling but with a hint of threat in her voice. "Saskia, this drink is really good for your health. Please drink it. I spent over three hours in the kitchen making it. Please be considerate."

Saskia didn't appreciate this at all.

She had never seen this woman before, nor had she asked her to do anything.

This woman made the drink, and now she was trying to guilt-trip Saskia into drinking it.

As if not drinking it would make Saskia a terrible person.

It was ridiculous!

Saskia remarked, "Look, you're an adult. You have the freedom to make drinks, and I have the freedom not to drink them. I'm not hungry at all right now. Are you gonna force my mouth open and pour it down my throat?" Saskia couldn't deal with Nathaniel.

But that didn't mean anyone could stand in front of her and dictate her life.

She hadn't fallen that far."Saskia, you're right. But this is the Egan family's place. Since you're living here, you gotta follow the rules. To be honest, I didn't make this drink on my own; someone told me to do it." The woman kept her words intentionally vague.

With Jade's help, Amy easily arranged for a servant to be assigned to the villa.

But Saskia misunderstood what the woman meant.

This was Nathaniel's place, so she figured Nathaniel sent the woman. If she didn't drink the drink, Nathaniel wouldn't let her off the hook.

She felt a pang of bitterness. "Just leave the drink over there. I'll drink it when I'm thirsty."

"Saskia, I need to see you drink it before I can leave. If you don't want to drink it now, that's fine. I'll wait here until you do." The woman placed the tray on the table, pulled up a chair, and sat directly in front of Saskia.

She stared at Saskia, determined not to leave until she got what she wanted.

If the person sitting in front of her were anyone else, she wouldn't be so bold. But this was Saskia, and Jade had told the woman to drive Saskia out eventually.

So the woman didn't take Saskia seriously. She said, "I'll leave when you drink it. We can sit here all day if we have to."

She was curious to see who would be more patient.

Saskia was desperate to find Benjamin and didn't have the energy to waste on this woman.

She picked up the bowl and drank the whole thing in a few gulps, then handed the bowl back. "I've finished it. Now you can leave."

"Of course, Saskia. Take care." The woman, having achieved her goal, left with the bowl.

She walked out of the villa and got into a car waiting by the roadside, which would take her to see Jade.

Meanwhile, Saskia felt dizzy after drinking the concoction.

But she didn't think much of it.

Nathaniel might be harsh and enjoy tormenting her mentally, but he wouldn't poison her.

If he wanted to poison her, he wouldn't have waited until now.

Saskia opened her wardrobe and changed her clothes. As she walked down the stairs, the dizziness grew stronger.

She had to grip the railing tightly, moving step by step. When she finally made it back to her room, she lost consciousness and collapsed onto the bed.

The house was empty, and in the vast villa, she was alone. No one noticed anything was wrong.

Meanwhile, Amy was thrilled to learn that the servant had succeeded. "You did well. I'll transfer the promised money to your bank account. You can leave now."

The servant took the money and left quickly. She didn't want to stay and risk being held accountable later, which could mean losing the money and facing jail time.

Amy calculated that the drink's effects would cause a high fever, worsening until it led to a quiet death.

Even if Nathaniel investigated, he wouldn't find anything.

Saskia couldn't compete with Amy without her life.

Amy could already picture the tragic fate that awaited Saskia.
