Chapter 505 An Unchangeable Fact

As soon as RavenWing heard Jeffery, he got it.

Jeffery was all in for Pearl. Even if it wasn't directly for her, he'd do anything to help someone she cared about just to see her smile.

Pearl already saw Jeffery as a friend. RavenWing knew she had given Jeffery a cross bracelet, a keepsake from Francesca, when they were kids.

If Jeffery got hurt, Pearl would be crushed.

RavenWing couldn't stand seeing Pearl upset.

In a low voice, RavenWing said, "At first, I thought of using you. But now, since you're Pearl's friend and so devoted to her, I can't. But you can help me treat Christopher."

"Sure," Jeffery agreed right away.

RavenWing needed to understand Christopher's condition, so he had to draw some blood for tests.

Pearl had already prepped Christopher, so the blood draw went smoothly.

RavenWing needed the results fast, so they did it right away.

When he saw the blood test and physical exam reports, his face darkened. Christopher had asthma, heart disease, and abnormal platelet coagulation.

Jeffery noticed RavenWing's silence and knew something was wrong. When he saw the results, he was shocked.

There were unknown drug molecules in Christopher's body.

The diagnosis was likely leukemia. No, it was definite!

But telling Pearl would break her. Barbara had used Christopher's survival to keep Pearl going.

Leukemia needed a bone marrow match, and even though RavenWing, Oscar, and Louis were skilled, finding a match wasn't easy.

Plus, the treatment would be long and painful.

If anything happened to Christopher, Pearl would be devastated.

"Just use me as an experimental subject."

RavenWing signaled Jeffery to stop. "Don't tell Pearl. I'll handle it."

He had done many experiments and had a lot of experience, which would be useful now.

With so many Eldorians, he was sure he could find a bone marrow match.

And there was Oscar.

Oscar had been reported dead for five years, causing Pearl five years of grief. He needed to fix this.

RavenWing gave Jeffery a look. "Get Oscar for me."

"Okay," Jeffery quickly replied.

He approached Oscar, who was holding Pearl. She leaned on him, seeing him as her only support.

"Mr. Brown, RavenWing wants to see you."

Oscar let go of Pearl, but she was confused. "Why does RavenWing want to see him?"

Jeffery's voice was rough. "I don't know. Probably something to consult him. Pearl, you stay here."

"I'll be right back," Oscar said, heading towards Jeffery.

Pearl was about to speak, but Louis stopped her. "Oscar's involved in Christopher's situation. Plus, he's Christopher's father. They were on opposite sides before, but now we're allied with Tranquiloria."

"Or are you worried RavenWing will harm Oscar?"

Louis's words hit Pearl hard. She knew RavenWing wouldn't harm Oscar at this critical moment.

Louis seemed to read her mind. "Since you know RavenWing won't hurt Oscar, what are you worried about? You should rest. We won't deceive you or hurt you."

Pearl didn't respond but absorbed Louis's words. She felt their sincerity through their actions.

Meanwhile, Jeffery brought Oscar to RavenWing and then left the lab.

Christopher lay on the operating table with an IV in his right hand.

RavenWing handed the test results to Oscar. "Christopher has many illnesses from being born prematurely, including leukemia. When you took Christopher to Charles for Pearl's antidote, how did Charles treat him?"

RavenWing regretted asking as soon as he saw the coldness in Oscar's eyes. Back then, Pearl was poisoned by Donald, Barbara, and later Kevin, partly due to RavenWing's trust and negligence.

Feeling immense guilt, RavenWing said, "Get tested for a bone marrow match with Christopher. If it works, great. If not, I'll find another way. But keep this from Pearl and put in a good word for me."

Pearl and Oscar had been through a lot, and Pearl truly loved Oscar. RavenWing just wanted Christopher to be okay and for Pearl's family to stay in Eldorians, leading to a complete reunion.

Oscar hadn't forgotten their past as adversaries. RavenWing, once the ruthless ruler of Eldorians, was now bowing his head for Pearl.

RavenWing had truly changed.

They reached an agreement.

Oscar said, "I won't tell Pearl the truth until Christopher recovers."

He would rather let Pearl believe Christopher only had asthma and was weak from being born prematurely, worsened by Charles's drugs.

"And about the last thing I mentioned?"

RavenWing looked at Oscar with hope, seeking Pearl's forgiveness.

Oscar paused before saying, "Since you asked, I'll help you. Don't worry about that."

No matter RavenWing's past, he was still Pearl's father, and that wouldn't change.
