Chapter 802 Saved

Nathaniel nodded. "Got it. Reach out to them ASAP."

"On it." Oscar hung up and dialed Pearl's number.

Pearl answered with a laugh. "Focus on your work. No need to stress about home stuff."

They had housekeepers to handle things.

Oscar chuckled. "I'm calling because Nathaniel got in touch. Can you let Jeffery know that Nathaniel's first love's kid is sick and needs treatment?"

Pearl replied, "Sure thing, I'll get on it right away."

Friends helped each other out when they could.

Pearl explained the situation to Jeffery, who agreed immediately. He said, "I can't do it today. Tomorrow, you can take me to see them."

Jeffery was glad Pearl called, even if it was for someone else. It still made him happy.

He knew that Pearl's heart was with Oscar.

Knowing he had no chance with her, Jeffery stayed close just to be near her.

Just talking to her made him incredibly happy.

Pearl didn't want to bother Oscar, so she sent him a message: [Jeffery said he couldn't do it today. Tomorrow, you can take him to see Nathaniel.]

Oscar: [Got it.]

Oscar had no objections.

He quickly sent a screenshot to Nathaniel.

Nathaniel was thrilled and shared the news with Saskia. "Saskia, our kid can be saved!"

Hearing this, Saskia felt uneasy.

Having money and power really could fix just about anything.

Nathaniel mistook her silence for fear and tried to comfort her. "Don't worry. My friends are top-notch. They'll make sure Benjamin gets better."

Benjamin's health was the most important thing.

Saskia stayed quiet. Whether Benjamin was healthy or not, he was their child and couldn't be abandoned.

"Saskia, I know you're worried about Azalea. I promised you I'd find her. Don't lose hope," Nathaniel said, holding Saskia's hand reassuringly.

Saskia had her own thoughts and concerns.

She couldn't be with Nathaniel, but Benjamin could stay with him.

Finally, Saskia made a decision. "Maybe Benjamin should stay with you," she said.

"Saskia, what are you saying?" Nathaniel looked at her in disbelief. They had cleared up everything, and even Jade wasn't stopping them anymore.

Yet Saskia wanted Benjamin to stay with him.

Wasn't her happiness important?

Saskia lowered her head, struggling to pull her hand away. She said, "I can't be with you. If I'm happy, what about Azalea? I've gotten used to not having you around these past four years."

Azalea liked Nathaniel, too. Even though the child she was carrying wasn't his, she had once dreamed of growing old with him.

Now, it turned out the child wasn't Nathaniel's, and Nathaniel had approached Azalea to get back at Saskia.

Not only Azalea, but even Saskia couldn't accept it.

Most importantly, Azalea was Saskia's sister. Saskia couldn't allow her happiness to come at the expense of Azalea's misery.

Nathaniel understood Saskia's concerns. He responded, "I'll explain everything. Have you asked Benjamin if he wants to stay with me?"Benjamin had been with Saskia since he was little. He didn't even know Nathaniel was his dad.

Benjamin hadn't processed everything yet, and now they wanted him to stay with Nathaniel. He wouldn't want that.

Hearing Benjamin's name, Saskia felt a sharp pain in her heart.

She started to avoid the topic. "Let's not talk about this. We shouldn't worry about things that haven't happened yet. Nathaniel, I won't be with you. I can't bear to see Benjamin and me separated. If it comes to it, we'll just keep it a secret from Benjamin."

Nathaniel wouldn't let her dodge the issue. He remarked, "That would be unfair to Benjamin. He's just a three-year-old kid battling an illness. Now that I know the whole story, can you really let him grow up without one?"

Saskia remained silent.

Nathaniel's words were the harsh reality.

He added, "I'll find Azalea as soon as possible."

Saskia's main concern was Azalea. If Azalea and Saskia reconciled, everything would be fine.

So Nathaniel used all his connections to find Azalea.

Meanwhile, Azalea was struggling.

She hadn't fully recovered from her miscarriage, hadn't rested well, and was in a bad state, often having nightmares.

Azalea felt mentally unstable.

Nathaniel had taken Benjamin. If Nathaniel was willing to save him for Saskia, he would definitely bring him to her.

Nathaniel had become George again just to get close to Saskia.

To Nathaniel, Saskia was always the one he loved most.

Azalea felt cold all over, increasingly feeling that everything was meaningless.

"Why are you doing all this? To destroy Nathaniel?" Azalea suddenly turned to the masked man beside her.

The masked man only had his eyes visible.

When Azalea asked, their eyes met.

She noticed the coldness in his gaze.

"Does everything really need a reason?" the masked man chuckled lightly.

Azalea chuckled as well. "Everything has its reason. You can't just be out to get back at society. If that's the case, why not target someone else?"

Was it just because Nathaniel was a famous lawyer?

Azalea wasn't stupid. She knew it wasn't that simple.

When the masked man pulled down his mask, revealing his face, Azalea realized everything. "It's you!" she exclaimed.

It was the man she had seen at the club.

He had mentioned Nathaniel, but she didn't know who Nathaniel was at the time. He was there to disrupt the safety of two countries.

If he succeeded, Nathaniel would become a scapegoat.

Azalea loved Nathaniel—no, George. Since George was just another aspect of him, she had gotten used to calling him that.

Sitting in the car, Azalea came up with a plan.

She grabbed the man driving, Ken. Ken didn't expect Azalea to do that. When he turned the wheel, a truck came straight at them.

Azalea held onto the wheel, refusing to let go.

She had only one thought: not to let George die.

A loud crash, followed by a wave of heat. Azalea felt herself being thrown to the ground, intense pain enveloping her instantly.
