Chapter 166 Reciprocity

Logan's harsh voice interrupted from the other side. "Who is this guy trying to save the girl? He's ruining my plan. I'll kill you!"

The voice got closer and closer.

Logan charged forward with a strong offensive.

However, Oscar simply lifted his foot, and in an instant, Logan was sent flying.

Logan landed heavily on the ground.

Oscar held Pearl with one arm and made a call with the other. "James, send some people to handle the person at the door, and have Quincy bring the medical kit to the room."

After saying this, Oscar took Pearl into the room.

Oscar's two moves prevented Logan from getting close, and the commanding tone in Oscar's call made Logan realize that Oscar was no ordinary person.

Instinctively, Logan turned to run.

But Logan couldn't escape.

James, Quincy, and Nathaniel didn't have much chance to gather.

Since Quincy used Oscar's phone to call Pearl, Oscar might not join them, but the three of them were determined to have a good time together.

Oscar made the call, and James immediately contacted the club's manager.

In less than two minutes, Logan was caught.

At the same time, Quincy entered the room with the medical kit.

"Check her out."

Seeing Quincy with the medical kit, Oscar immediately spoke to him.

Quincy saw Pearl sitting on the sofa, with a red handprint on her face.

"Where are you hurt?"

Quincy decided to ask directly to avoid angering Oscar again.

Pearl's voice was very soft. "He just slapped me."

She didn't have much confidence.

She felt very unlucky.

She had just arrived and was already targeted.

Everything was just as Quincy had guessed.

But Oscar was filled with rage, looking like a demon who had walked out of hell!

Look at how much Oscar cared for Pearl.

"I'll make a call and have the staff bring you some ice. Just apply it to your face."

"Okay, thank you."

Pearl was quite polite.

Quincy immediately smiled. "What for? You need to thank him, but I guess it isn't nesscary.. I'll leave now, call me if you need anything."

Although Quincy didn't show much in front of Pearl, he gave Oscar a fierce look as he walked by with the medical kit.

Just a slap, look at him, making a big fuss over nothing!

Once Quincy left, only Oscar and Pearl were left in the room.

Neither of them intended to speak, and the atmosphere became very quiet.

It was the knocking that broke the silence.

"Hello, here is your ice cubes."

It was a man's voice.

Oscar spoke calmly, "Come in."

Soon, a staff came in with the ice.

Oscar then instructed, "Put it on the table."

The staff did as asked.

Oscar picked up a towel from the other side of the table, wrapped the ice in it, and then sat next to Pearl, applying the ice to her face.

The cold sensation alleviated the pain.

At this moment, Oscar was right beside her.

Pearl didn't dare to look at him.

"It's not that I wanted to cause trouble, I was trying to avoid him."

Unexpectedly, Pearl was still targeted by Logan.

If it weren't for Oscar, Pearl would have been hurt!

But then again, Oscar was very cold at the moment, with no sign of drunkenness.

"Thank you."

Putting everything else aside, the fact remains that Oscar helped Pearl.

Oscar was already angry, and alcohol hadn't reduced it by much. Logan's words were like fuel to the fire.

And now Pearl was thanking Oscar?

Oscar said, "Reciprocity. No need for thanks."

Pearl felt a pang in her heart.

Oscar was just repaying a favor.

Fine.

Things would be fair from now on.

Pearl pressed her lips together and, after a moment of silence, responded to Oscar, "Are we going home now?"

"Wait for me a moment."

"Okay."

Pearl didn't think much of it.

Oscar placed the ice pack in Pearl's hand, his large hand gripping hers. "Applying the ice for a while. You haven't resigned yet, so you still represent the image of the Brown Group."

His voice was extremely cold.

Pearl nodded. "Got it."

Oscar saved Pearl because she was his wife, because she was his secretary, representing the image of the Brown Group.

And as he said, reciprocity.

The boundaries between them were so clear.

James had Logan tied up.

They were in another room.

James knew that Oscar, who always repaid grudges, would personally show up.

They were just waiting for Oscar.

Logan was restless, struggling even while tied to the chair, making it creak.

When Oscar appeared, Logan quieted down.

Because Oscar didn't give Logan a chance to cause more trouble, he grabbed a beer bottle and smashed it against Logan's hand, the broken bottle's sharp edges cutting into Logan's hand.

Of course, Oscar didn't stop there.

Logan tried to bear the pain, but when Oscar completely separated Logan from his genitals, Logan's face went pale, and he let out a heart-wrenching scream.

Even James felt a chill watching this scene.

James, usually a playboy with many women around him, living a life of luxury, always had bodyguards to handle any trouble.

When Logan was on the brink of death, Oscar coldly told the bodyguards standing by. "Make him a beggar and get him out of Willow Creek!"

A beggar usually means what?

Blind, crippled, and maimed.

And Logan, who had bad intentions towards Pearl, got all of these.

James couldn't help but admire Oscar. "Oscar, if you say Pearl is just a suitable wife, I won't believe it anymore."

Oscar didn't respond to James's comment.

Oscar left the room and returned to Pearl's side.

Although there wasn't a trace of blood on Oscar, the moment he got close, she smelled a strong scent of blood, and she immediately felt nauseous.

Oscar frowned. "Is the smell on me that strong?"

Pearl could only nod in agreement.

"Bear with it, we'll be home soon."

He pulled Pearl up.

Pearl had no way to push him away and could only endure the nausea.

They returned to Serenity Haven Estates.

Oscar left her behind and went upstairs alone.

Pearl went to the bedroom.

She entered the bathroom and brushed her teeth, but the smell of blood lingered in her nose. Finally, when she searched for a solution and did what she found Oscar noticed that.

Oscar noticed that.

"Pearl, is there now another reason to add to the divorce?"
