Chapter 9 Wanting a Kid!

A few days ago, when Oscar heard that Pearl had been injured in the accident, his heart had tightened. Despite their broken relationship, he still cared about her safety.

Pearl stepped into the CEO's office just in time, the heavy atmosphere almost tangible. The employees outside greeted her warmly, concerned about her injuries. She smiled back, trying to ease their worries, but the fatigue in her eyes was hard to miss.

As she approached the office door, she heard Oscar inside giving orders with a cold and unyielding tone. Her heart tightened, but she mustered the courage to push the door open.

Oscar's gaze lingered on the wound on her forehead for a moment, a flicker of complex emotion crossing his face. However, he didn't mention the construction site accident. Instead, he threw a document onto the desk.

"What's this about?" he asked coldly.

Pearl glanced at the document and understood immediately. It was a divorce agreement, likely sent by Janetta. She took a deep breath, trying to stay calm. "Mr. Brown, this is the divorce agreement. I came today not only to handle work matters but also to discuss the divorce with you."

Oscar's face darkened even more. He picked up the divorce agreement, skimmed it, and then slammed it back on the desk. "Pearl! How come I don’t know you wanted a kid?"

Pearl was taken aback and looked at the agreement. In the reason for divorce section, it boldly stated: The wife likes children, but the husband is infertile, leading to a breakdown in their relationship! She felt a wave of embarrassment, realizing this was Janetta's "prank".

She looked up at Oscar, who was glaring at her with anger. She quickly explained, "Mr. Brown, this agreement was sent by mistake. If you're in a hurry, I can get you another one quickly."

"How do you know I'm infertile?" Oscar stepped closer, his face livid.

Pearl couldn't help but take two steps back, bumping into the desk. She winced in pain but tried to stay composed. "Mr. Brown, I might not know about that. Haley should know more about your situation."

Before she could finish her sentence, Oscar pulled her into his arms, pinning her between the desk and himself. Pearl struggled to push him away, but it was futile.

"So you want a kid so badly, why didn't you say so earlier?" Oscar sneered. "Or are you trying to use a kid to tie me down? The divorce is a sham; you just want a child with me?"

Pearl's face turned pale. She finally broke free from his grip and snapped, "Oscar, don't go too far!"

Oscar turned away, even colder. "Pearl, I've never treated you badly these years. Don't think about unrealistic things."

He didn't understand her feelings or thoughts, assuming she was after his wealth and status. Pearl took a deep breath, trying to calm herself. "Don't forget, the three-year marriage contract was your idea. Now I just want to end it early."

"Yes, it was my decision." Oscar faced her again. "But I have the final say. This marriage won't end without my permission."

Pearl looked at him with a tightly frowned brow. She couldn't understand why he wouldn't let her go. Wouldn't an early divorce be better for him? He could be with Haley sooner. Yet, there was a flicker of complex emotion in Oscar's eyes, as if he had a secret he couldn't share.

Suddenly, Oscar's gaze became intense. He grabbed Pearl's wrist and pulled her into his arms, holding her tightly. Pearl could feel his rapid breathing and pounding heart, and her body trembled slightly in his embrace.

Before she could calm down, Oscar scooped her up in his arms. She gasped, instinctively wrapping her arms around his neck to steady herself. Without hesitation, he carried her towards the small lounge in the office.

He kicked the door open and gently placed her on the small bed, then leaned over her. His eyes were fiery, his breath quickening, as he pressed her down onto the bed.

"What are you doing, Oscar?" Pearl's voice trembled, unable to hide her complex emotions.

Oscar didn't respond. Instead, he kissed her fiercely. The kiss was filled with desire and dominance, as if he wanted to completely devour her. Pearl felt his tongue enter her mouth, dancing with hers, sending shivers down her spine.

His hands began to wander restlessly, sliding from her collarbone downwards, lifting her dress. Pearl felt his fingers gently caressing her skin, sending waves of tingling sensations through her.

Her rationality started to crumble, her body trembling under his touch.

"Oscar, stop." Pearl's voice carried a hint of pleading, but her body involuntarily responded to his actions.

Oscar's kisses moved from her lips to her neck, then to her collarbone. His lips, hot and searing, left red marks on her skin. His hands grew bolder, pulling down her dress, exposing her body to the air.

The room was thick with the scent of desire. Oscar's movements became more urgent and intense. His breath grew heavier, his body pressed against hers, radiating heat. His hands explored every inch of her skin, leaving her helplessly trembling under his control.

"Pearl, I won't let you leave me." Oscar's voice was low and firm, with undeniable dominance.

Pearl felt the determination and pain in his words, her heart swirling with complex emotions.

She knew that behind Oscar's strong exterior was a deep love and vulnerability. Tears blurred her vision, but she couldn't resist his demands.

Their breaths mingled, Oscar's actions growing more intense, as if he wanted to release all his love and pain in this moment. Pearl could only hold him tightly, feeling the heat and wildness of the moment.
