Chapter 449 RavenWing's Position Can Be Given to Carol

Kevin's ears rang with the words. "Whose DNA test is this?" he asked.

The guy in front of him shook his head. "Mr. Garcia, it's from Giovanni."

Kevin didn't say anything.

He turned to leave but then stopped, realizing something. He spun back and walked toward the man.

Pulling out a gun, he aimed it at the guy's head. "This test should show no relation!"

"Yes," the man stammered, terrified.

Half an hour later, the man handed the report to Giovanni. "Here are the results."

Giovanni took it without looking.

Kevin saw everything.

His eyes turned cold, and he ordered someone to follow Giovanni.

Giovanni quickly returned to Louis and handed him the results. Louis eagerly opened it.

When he saw there was no blood relation, his face darkened.

'How could this be!'

"Giovanni."

"Mr. Mitchell, I was outside the lab the whole time. No one suspicious came in, and everyone knows who I am. No way they faked it."

Louis had asked for Pearl's blood to be tested, and Giovanni finally understood why Louis cared so much about her.

Louis was shocked.

Pearl wasn't related to him, so how did she get the cross bracelet?

'What was Jeffery up to?'

Louis's face turned grim. "Find Jeffery. Dead or alive."

"Yes," Giovanni replied without hesitation.

Giovanni's visit to the lab was reported to RavenWing by Davide.

RavenWing realized Louis's true intentions.

Since Louis hadn't shown up, it meant he didn't get the answer he wanted. Carol was his only daughter.

Pearl dared to influence Louis, so she had only one path—death.

RavenWing made a "kill" gesture.

Davide nodded, his eyes cold.

But Louis had already tightened security. RavenWing never engaged infighting.

RavenWing pretended to be unaware.

He told Davide, "Prepare a banquet and invite Carol and Louis."

"Mr. Mitchell just got shot," Davide said, worried.

RavenWing cut him off, "It's an order, not a request."

Within five minutes, Louis got the news and couldn't refuse. He gave Giovanni clear instructions.

"Watch Pearl and Oscar closely. Make sure nothing goes wrong."

Giovanni looked up, shocked.

'Louis protected Pearl because he thought she was his sister. But now, why is he still doing so?'

Louis spoke calmly, "I need to find out what's really going on."

He thought, 'Kevin brought Carol back, but something felt off. I always felt distant from Carol.'

When Louis saw the cross bracelet on Pearl's hand, he felt a sense of familiarity.

He thought Pearl was his sister, but that was just an assumption.

The test results were in front of him. He hadn't tested Carol, but the cross bracelet was in Pearl's hand. Maybe this was Jeffery's scheme.

Until things were clear, Pearl couldn't be harmed.

A cold glint flashed in Louis's eyes. "Follow my instructions, and you won't go wrong."

Louis changed clothes and headed to RavenWing's place. He met Carol at the door. She took off her veil and gently said, "Louis."

Carol's delicate face didn't change Louis's indifferent response.

Carol felt frustrated. No matter what she did, Louis always treated her coldly, unlike how he treated Pearl, even arranging for Giovanni to protect her.

She couldn't understand Pearl's hold over him.

"Come in," RavenWing called out.

Carol said joyfully, "Louis, RavenWing is calling us. Let's go in."

Louis pressed his lips together, silent.

Inside, RavenWing sat at a round table, inviting them to eat. He wore a mask covering the upper part of his face, hiding his features but revealing a not-bad-looking chin and lips.

RavenWing's voice brought Carol back to reality. "I called you here to announce something. I'm getting old, and the Eldorians need unity. From now on, I'll focus on research, and the tribe's affairs..."

"When did you ever manage them?" Louis interrupted.

RavenWing was always lost in his experiments. His loyal subordinates, and their subordinates, would kill and loot, all with his approval.

The internal conflicts and battles among the Eldorians, and being targeted by other forces, were all due to the rich mineral resources here.

To him, human lives were like ants; his experiments were everything.

RavenWing wasn't angry. "That's why I'm handing everything over to you. I believe you'll do better."

He continued, "You're both old enough. It's time to get married."

Carol was stunned. "I just came back. Do you really want me to get married so soon? Isn't this too fast?"

She was anxious.

Louis remained indifferent, and RavenWing noticed. "Louis, no objections?"

Louis said coldly, "I'm not interested in what you're saying. Did you call us here just for this?"

"Not entirely. Since Carol returned, only a few people know, including those in our camp. I want to host a banquet to introduce Carol to everyone in the tribe and hand over my position to you." RavenWing's voice was cold.

This was an order.

Louis sneered. "You have so many capable people. Can't you find someone else?"

"Or, give the position to Carol."

Louis's gaze shifted to Carol.

He said no more, just quietly looked at Carol, with a bit more scrutiny.
