Chapter 744 Joining Forces

At dinner, the three of them were having a blast, laughing and chatting away. Oscar was cracking everyone up with his work stories, and Christopher was totally hooked.

Christopher put down his fork and, with the seriousness of a little grown-up, said, "When I grow up, I wanna be like Dad — run my own company, make a ton of money, and take care of the people I love."

Oscar grinned and said, "When you're a bit older, you can come intern at the company," fully backing Christopher's dreams.

Oscar always planned to hand over the Brown Group to Christopher and Emily. He didn't care if they were boys or girls; as long as they were his and Pearl's kids, passionate about business, and eager to take over, that was all that mattered.

If Christopher and Emily wanted to do something else, Oscar and Pearl would support them all the way.

But Christopher shook his head and said, "No, I wanna start my own company. If Dad can do it, so can I!"

Pearl smiled at this. She looked at Christopher's serious face and gave him a thumbs-up. "That's the spirit, honey. I believe you can do it."

With kids like hers and Oscar's, how could they not succeed? Pearl had that kind of confidence.

After dinner, Christopher got up and helped take the dishes to the kitchen before heading to the living room to watch cartoons.

Pearl and Oscar cleaned up in the kitchen, talking about their plans.

"Now that Louis and Jimena are here, when do you plan to go abroad?" Pearl asked softly, turning off the faucet.

Oscar believed in striking first. "The sooner, the better. It's better to deal with this threat early than to have them constantly watching us," he replied.

This group wouldn't leave their family alone if they didn't get what they wanted. Better to take the initiative.

"How about we leave tomorrow? Have you found out where their base is?" Pearl turned around and asked.

Oscar was right behind her, and as she turned, they ended up really close. His hand naturally went to her waist.

He nodded and said, "Yes, it's the Shadow Organization. They put out a lot of false info to throw us off, but now I'm sure their base is in Eldorians."

"Eldorians?" Pearl's face changed. That was Louis's homeland, and hers too. This kind of organization was like a cancer that needed to be cut out ASAP.

Seeing this, Oscar smoothed her brow. "Pearl, I've contacted some mercenaries over there, and with Louis's help, we'll be fine."

Pearl stood on her tiptoes and kissed him. "I know," she said.

As long as they were together, working as a team, they could handle anything.

The next morning, Pearl called Christopher's teacher. "We have some family matters to attend to, so I need to ask for a short leave. Christopher won't be able to go to school this week."

Pearl didn't know exactly how long it would take to deal with the Shadow Organization, but it would definitely take at least a week. If they got back early, they could spend the rest of the time taking Christopher on a little trip.

"That's fine. You can take him out. Christopher is an excellent student, and his reading and math skills are among the best in the class," the teacher said. Most kindergarten kids were all about eating, drinking, and playing, with their parents often spoiling them. But Christopher? He was a standout in his class.

"That's because you teach him well," Pearl said simply before hanging up.

She then went to freshen up in the bathroom, and after breakfast, she took Christopher and Emily to the hospital.

At that time, Louis was consulting with RavenWing.

Seeing Pearl come in, Jimena hurried over. "I'll take Emily," she said.

Pearl first asked about RavenWing's condition, then gave Louis a look.

Louis got the hint, and they went into a private room together.

Once the door was closed, Pearl told him about the Shadow Organization. "Oscar and I are going abroad to take down the Shadow Organization. It's a transnational crime group, and it involves children. It's a serious threat."

Children were the future of any country. If kids like Lila were raised by their biological mothers or sent to an orphanage, at least they'd have a normal environment.

But if she ended up in the hands of the Shadow Organization at such a young age, it was easy to imagine what she'd turn into, being forced into their criminal activities.

"Pearl, I never imagined there would be such an organization in Eldorians. It's outrageous." Louis listened, clenching his fists tightly, his teeth gritting in anger.

He felt for Lila, who had suffered so much at such a young age, and for the children of Eldorians.

They were living beings, not the Shadow Organization's expendable resources!

"Pearl, there's no need for formalities between us. Just tell me what you need. I'll take care of Christopher and Emily," Louis said seriously.

Now, it wasn't just Pearl who was determined to eliminate the Shadow Organization at any cost.

Hearing his words, Pearl nodded. "Alright, I have to go now. Oscar is probably downstairs already. Our flight leaves in an hour, and we can't be late."

Louis then escorted her out.

RavenWing, though reluctant to see Pearl leave so soon, understood that she had many responsibilities and couldn't spend all her time with him.

Besides, he had others with him. It was already lively enough. The most important thing in life was to be content.

Eldorians had a vast desert, with people living on the outskirts and the interior being desolate.

The Shadow Organization's base was located there.

The outermost area was filled with iron cages, each holding children, one of whom was Lila.

In front of her was a water bowl, but it was completely dry, let alone food.

She was hungry and thirsty, stretching her hand out of the cage, hoping for something to eat. At that moment, she longed for the days at Pearl's house.

There, Lila had an abundance of delicious food, a cozy bed, and Christopher to play with.

If only she could have stayed there forever.

"Useless thing, can't even poison a newborn. What's the point of keeping you?" A man in a suit and mask walked over.

He lifted his foot and kicked Lila's arm hard.

A wave of pain hit her, and Lila cried out, quickly pulling her hand back as tears streamed down her face. "Please, give me something to eat."

"Sell her," the masked man said lightly, sealing Lila's fate with a single sentence.
