Chapter 354 Is There an Antidote Here?

The special forces moved in, taking down everyone they met.

They had no clue what was going on inside the factory.

Oscar was hiding behind the sofa, unarmed and alone.

Life or death was a split-second decision, but he had to take the risk.

Without it, he wouldn't earn Kevin's trust or even be here.

His goal was to find Kevin's base. By protecting Haley from the poison, she would definitely bring him here.

Only Kevin could cure his poison, and maybe Pearl's too.

As long as there was hope, he'd try, even if it meant risking his life.

The price he paid made him here in current situation..

He was panting but determined. Knowing there was no way out, he stood up again.

He raised his hands.

Looking at Kevin, he smiled. "Even if you kill me, you won't escape."

Kevin replied coldly, "This was all your elaborate setup!"

Oscar said, "Isn't this a win-win?"

Kevin glared at him. "You made sure I knew Donald betrayed me! You knew I'd want you to help me get rid of him."

Donald’s betrayal was orchestrated by Oscar.

Kevin needed someone to kill Donald, and Oscar was the perfect choice.

Oscar used this to get close to him through Haley and find his base.

Oscar said, "To you, my identity is very useful."

Kevin pointed his gun at him. "Aren't you afraid of death?"

Oscar replied, "I am, but I'm more afraid of Pearl dying before me!"

Kevin realized Oscar's ultimate goal was to have Haley bring him here.

Finding Kevin meant finding the lab and the antidote!

Oscar didn't care about his own life!

Kevin laughed, "I didn't expect to be deceived by you."

Then his face hardened. "Do you know you'll pay for this!"

Oscar said, "But it's all worth it!"

Kevin, thoroughly deceived and suffering losses, wanted to shoot, but Haley was in the way.

"Dad, don't shoot, don't kill him!" Haley cried.

Meanwhile, the special forces had entered.

Kevin needed a way out. As lab personnel fled, he decided to deal with Oscar.

But Haley's interference distracted him.

Oscar seized the moment, grabbed Kevin's arm, and disarmed him.

Oscar quickly dodged bullets and found cover.

Haley hugged her head, screaming in fear.

Oscar asked, "Which one is the antidote?"

Kevin sneered, "Why do you think I'll tell you?"

Oscar said, "Tell me, and I'll let you live."

"You destroyed my lab!" Kevin now held a submachine gun.

Oscar said, "Even if you don't tell me, I'll find the antidote eventually."

Kevin, consumed by rage, fired wildly at Oscar's position.

The walls were riddled with bullets.

Dust flew everywhere, and the lab was almost in ruins.

His men were resisting the special forces' invasion.

Kevin only wanted Oscar dead!

Oscar kept dodging, using his special forces training to buy time.

Kevin's skills weren't as sharp as Donald's, and now he was furious, juggling the outside situation too.

With the special forces closing in, Kevin needed an escape plan.

He rallied everyone to resist the special forces and opened his escape route.

He had planned this route when he built the lab.

Oscar saw him escaping and chased after him.

Kevin sneered, "Oscar, you think this is over? Just wait!"

Without hesitation, Kevin activated a hidden mechanism, slipped inside, pulled the lever to lock it, and escaped through a tunnel.

When Oscar opened it, it was pitch black, and Kevin was already gone.

Haley was left behind, holding her head, feeling helpless.

"Oscar!" Haley was still worried about him.

Oscar glanced at her, his face stern, ignoring her.

"Oscar!" Elijah rushed in, relieved to see Oscar was okay. "Where's Kevin? Did he escape?" He looked at the dark tunnel.

Oscar said, "Search the area, keep all the lab personnel, I need them!"

"Yes." Elijah led people into the tunnel.

Jeffery stood at the door with a toolbox. Oscar asked, "Jeffery, these are all the lab's drugs. Is there an antidote?"

Jeffery walked in, unfazed by the lab's contents.

He had seen much worse before.

Jeffery put on gloves and carefully observed. "I need to run some tests. Give me a few days."

Oscar said, "I'm counting on you."

As he spoke, Oscar's steps faltered, his face turning pale. A sharp, intense pain surged through his head, as if something was trying to break free from his body.

He clenched his fists, enduring the pain.

Jeffery looked at him, "Are you sure you’re okay?"

Oscar shook his head, trying to steady himself. "Just a scratch, I'm fine. Find the antidote as soon as possible."

"I know," Jeffery said. "As long as there's a clue, there's hope."

He had done many experiments, but he was always just a bit short.

This lab would be a great help to him.

"Oscar, what about her?" Nicholas looked at Haley squatting in the corner.

"Oscar." Haley cried, still trying to grab him. "I'm so scared. Please hold me.”

Oscar’s expression was cold as he ordered, "Take her into custody."

"Yes, sir." Two soldiers quickly moved to lift Haley.

She struggled, tears streaming down her face. "What are you doing? I’m Oscar’s fiancée! Don’t touch me! Oscar, they’re hurting me! Help me!"

Oscar had no more feelings for her and said coldly, "Take her away!"

"Oscar!" Haley screamed hysterically, her outstretched hand never reaching him. She disappeared from sight.

Elijah came up from the tunnel with his team. "Oscar, there are mechanisms inside. It’s too complex; we couldn’t catch him."

"Lock down the city!"

"Yes!" Elijah suddenly remembered. "By the way, Oscar, Ms. Harris is here."

"What?" Oscar's face changed. "Why didn't you say so earlier?"

He rushed out immediately.

He came out of the abandoned factory and went straight to Pearl's car, but when he opened the door, Pearl was not inside.
