Chapter 358 Don't Think the Poison in You Is That Easy to Cure
Pearl tried to reassure him.
Nicholas nodded and followed her.
Haley refused to get in the car, no matter what, wanting to find Oscar.
Haley looked around for Oscar but spotted Pearl instead.
She was shocked. 'How is she still alive? Donald should've killed her.'
This made Haley even more agitated.
"Pearl!" Haley pushed through the crowd and ran towards her.
Nicholas moved in front of Pearl to block Haley.
But Pearl told him to step aside.
Haley, eyes wide with shock, shouted, "What are you doing here? How are you still alive? You should've died!"
She charged at Pearl.
With a cold expression, Pearl grabbed Haley's hair just as she was about to attack and slapped her hard.
Haley hit the ground.
Pearl had wanted to do this for a long time. "You all saw it, she tried to hurt me. I was defending myself!"
Everyone fell silent, too scared to speak.
They didn't expect Pearl to be so fierce.
Haley, furious, looked up. "How dare you hit me! I'm telling Oscar. He'll stand up for me!"
Seeing her in such a disheveled state, almost like a madwoman, Pearl sneered. "Do you really think Oscar will stand up for you? If he cared, would you be in this mess?"
Haley looked at herself, not wanting to believe it.
She still thought Oscar loved her.
Seeing Pearl standing strong, Haley refused to back down.
Her pride made her stand up. She wiped her tears and said sarcastically, "Pearl, are you waiting to see me go to jail? Impossible! I came here for medical treatment, I saved Oscar. You should thank me! I risked my life for him, I'm his savior!"
Pearl replied, "Do you think you did nothing wrong? Kevin is your father. You must be involved, you can't escape!"
"I know nothing!" Haley denied. "Kevin isn't my biological father. What he did has nothing to do with me. I didn't break the law! You can't slander me. You're just jealous that Oscar likes me, so you want me in jail!"
She looked at the crowd. "Did you see that? She's slandering me. Arrest her, not me!"
Pearl thought Haley was beyond redemption.
Haley knew she wasn't innocent anymore.
Pearl looked at her coldly. "I don't know how you got away with it. Your hands have never been clean, Haley!"
'Kevin was her father, and he was arrested before. What role did Haley play then?'
"But it doesn't matter, justice is never late!" Pearl said. "Just wait for your trial!"
She didn't want to argue with Haley.
Haley's sins would catch up with her.
Pearl looked away, not wanting to see Haley anymore.
Haley suddenly laughed. "Do you think it's over?"
Pearl paused.
Haley rubbed her aching face and continued, "Do you really think the poison in your body is that easy to cure?"
