Chapter 592 Go Back to Live with Parents

"Alright, I'll whip up your favorite dishes." Kittie dragged Evans into the kitchen, sharing her thoughts. "I still think Pearl should move back. When Oscar gets here, back me up, okay?"

"Why are you..." Evans started, but one stern look from her shut him up. He sighed and nodded.

Before long, dinner was ready, all of Pearl's favorite foods.

As they sat down, Kittie served her some food and gently said, "It's normal to feel this way early in pregnancy. You gotta eat. Just have what you can, and don't skip meals because you're afraid of throwing up."

"But I feel so nauseous," said Pearl.

This wasn't Pearl's first pregnancy, but it was different this time; she was constantly nauseous and couldn't stand the sight of food.

Kittie scooped more food into her bowl. "That's why you need to eat more. The more you eat, the less uncomfortable you'll feel when you throw up."

Evans chimed in, trying to persuade her too. Not wanting them to worry, Pearl asked for some soup.

Kittie quickly served her some. Watching her drink it, she felt relieved and smiled. "Grteat. What else do you want? I'll get it for you."

Whether it was their presence or something else, after a bowl of soup, Pearl actually felt a bit hungry.

She nodded and asked Kittie for some beef.

She ate so much she could barely move. If she weren't worried about overeating being bad for the baby, she would've kept going.

As night fell, Oscar came back just as Pearl was about to go to bed.

Hearing the car park downstairs, Pearl walked to the balcony and saw him looking up. She gave him a slight smile.

Oscar smiled back and pointed to the dessert in his hand.

Pearl asked, "Is that for me?"

Oscar nodded.

Pearl couldn't help but laugh; she was too full to eat anything more.

Oscar quickly came upstairs and eagerly kissed her like they had been apart for ages.

After a while, Oscar, trying to keep his excitement in check, sat with her on the couch and tried to feed her the dessert.

Pearl shook her head.

Oscar said, "I bought it on the way back. Just try a little."

"I ate a lot tonight. I'm still full." As she spoke, Pearl guided his hand to her round, undigested belly.

Oscar laughed. After taking care of her for so many days with no appetite, he was surprised that Kittie and Evans' arrival had changed that.

He pretended to be jealous, saying, "I guess your parents' cooking is better than mine."

Pearl nestled in his arms, laughing. "Not really. Maybe it's just that I haven't seen them in a while."

"I don't believe it. You must think my cooking is bad." Oscar leaned in closer. "I'm really sad now. You need to make it up to me."

Pearl laughed softly and kissed him on the cheek.

"No, that's not enough." He clutched his chest, pretending to be in pain. "It hurts here."

"Alright, then close your eyes." Pearl, caught up in his antics, decided to make it up to him properly.

Oscar was momentarily stunned, thinking she was angry, but seeing her serious expression, he closed his eyes with relief.

His lips were met with a very light, gentle kiss.

Oscar, satisfied, was about to ask for more when his hands were grabbed. Just as he was puzzled, Pearl sat on his lap, making him inwardly delighted.

He didn't move, relaxing completely and letting Pearl come closer.

The kiss grew more passionate, and Oscar almost couldn't contain his desire.

"How about that? Is this enough?" Pearl saw his unsatisfied look and chuckled.

Oscar gently placed her back on the couch, grinning. "Not bad. I enjoyed it. Can't wait for the next round."

He then dashed into the bathroom, and soon the sound of running water filled the air.

Pearl knew exactly what was going on and smiled to herself.

The next morning, Kittie was up early, waiting for Oscar.

As soon as he came downstairs, she approached him. "Oscar, I need to talk to you."

Oscar nodded and sat with her on the couch. "What's up?"

"I want Pearl to come back and live with us. I mentioned it to her yesterday, but she's got some concerns. I think if you agree, she'll take it into consideration," said Kittie.

Kittie's request put Oscar in a tough spot. The company needed him, and agreeing would mean being separated from Pearl.

Oscar wanted to make up for the lost five years and couldn't stand the thought of being away from her.

Facing Kittie's hopeful eyes, he was silent for a long time before finally saying, "How about you stay here?"

Kittie insisted, "You're busy with work, and as a man, you might not be able to handle Pearl as well as I can. I have loads of time to take care of her."

Kittie stood up and was about to kneel, which startled Oscar.

Oscar quickly pulled her back. "What are you doing?"

Kittie said firmly, "Pearl isn't my biological daughter, but I've been raising her for years. If you don't agree, I'll kneel before you."

"Please don't. I agree. But it will be a bit of trouble for you," Oscar agreed.

He helped her back to the couch and immediately started making arrangements. "I'll have someone prepare some supplies. Just let me know what you need, and we'll get everything ready."

Kittie was thrilled. All that mattered was that Pearl was coming home with her. She said that getting some things Pearl liked would be enough.

Oscar made the arrangements, and just then, Pearl came downstairs. He immediately went to help her to the dining room.

He told Pearl about going back with her parents, and she was surprised.

While Kittie was in the kitchen, Oscar stole a kiss from her and said, "A change of environment will be good. I'll bring Christopher over on the weekend, and we'll come back when school starts."

Pearl said, "Don't back out later. I don't want to be separated from you. You must come that day, or I'll keep calling you."

Thinking about being apart from Oscar, Pearl felt a deep sense of reluctance.

Oscar promised repeatedly, watching her finish breakfast before heading to the company.

Once they swiftly packed up, their ride arrived. After saying goodbye to RavenWing, they set off. Kittie took great care of Pearl during the journey, worried about the baby.

The air in the countryside was indeed refreshing. As soon as Pearl got out of the car, she couldn't wait to take a stroll with Kittie.

Having not been back for so long, memories flooded her mind, leaving Pearl with indescribable feelings.

After a tiring walk, she took a nap and only got up for dinner.

Seeing a table full of different dishes from the previous day, Pearl hugged Kittie. "Mom, thank you."

"Don't be so formal.. Take a seat and dig in. With me here, I'll make sure you and the baby are well taken care of," Kittie assured.

Pearl believed Kittie's words. She had been worried about not adjusting before coming back, but now she felt it was the right decision.

Kittie insisted on her coming back, partly to take care of her and partly because they really missed her.
